On the hud panel is a switch to control which altitude is displayed on the hud. Radar, Barometric or Auto. In Auto mode it should switch to radar mode when below a certain altitude AGL (I believe it's 5000ft, could be wrong though). This does not happen.

When selecting S-J the aircraft should go into a special jettison mode that does not fire weapons. However I had an aim-9 fired when I hit weapon release. Steps to reproduce: 1. Load a center tank and some Aim-9x and take off 2. Select A-A mode 3. Master Arm On 4. Select aim-9x 5. Select S-J and highlight the tank 6. Wep Release Expected behavior: Tank is dropped Observed behavior: Tank is dropped Missile is fired This is very dangerous and wastes ammo on a plane that doesn't carry much to begin with.

Version 2.5.6 When you select selective jettison after putting the SMS page on the left MFD without deleting it from the right mfd first by blanking it or setting a different page to the OSB, then the SMS page will be displayed on teh right MFD again. Steps to reproduce: 1. Start Aircraft - SMS will be on the right MFD 2. Select any page on the left MFD 3. Select it again to go into page select mode 4. Select SMS - SMS should have disappeared from the right MFD as it happens in the F16 when you do that 5. On the left MFD SMS page select S-J via OSB 11 Expected behavior: Selective jettison is displayed on the left MFD Observed behavior: SMS reappears on the right MFD and may or may not be selected, when selecting the S-J page is displayed there. When closing, SMS disappears from the right MFD again.

Thank you You may or may not know, but I am rather skeptical and have complained rather loudly about the poor communication by ED and the string of bugs that had suggested poor or absent play testing. And to me it seems now like things have turned out for the better. Unfortunately I can't speak for the quality of the game as I can't fly right now, though the newsletters seemed to have gone up in quality and quantity alike, and I am quite happy about that. So I don't want to always complain and thought I might as well give praise where it's due. Thank you and good job.:thumbup:

AI won't attack ships with bombs

so when I tell them to 'evade fire' they will drop their bombs? -
I set up a mission in which P51 are supposed to attack ships. I gave them rockets and bombs. Their tasking was set to Anti-Ship Their waypoint order was to engage surface group Once the mission loaded, they turned around and made a bee-line to the nearest airport I replaced the P51s with SU25TM and gave them Anti-Ship missiles. They fired the missiles. When I replaced the ASMs with bombs, they behaved like the P51s and didn't attack at all.

If you would watch this you will see that as i fly safely over a hill, I get a pull up cue despite having several tens of feet clearance. however as I then intentionally fly towards the next hill, no pull up cue is given, even just before I crash into the mountainside. Also rather early on I tried to toggle the pull up cue by diving towards the ground to no effect.

unlike in the hornet, you fire missiles with the weapon release button, not the trigger.

the issue is not that the DED/PLF is not appearing on the hud (missing feature). The bug is that the DED iff page is mirrored on the hud when PLF is selected to be mirrored, which shouldn't be happening at all.

After starting up the bird, steerpoint 0 is selected on the DED. however there is no steerpoint 0. the first steerpoint is #1. when then using the rocker switch to cycle to WP1 it jumps to WP2. afterwards you can not go back to 0. Timestamp 27:10 Be aware another game containing a Viper was streamed after DCS in this video. Also notice the squelch not being enabled by default here.

switching preset frequencies is done via the DTE cartridge. switching between presets is as simple as pressing com1/2, entering any number from 1 to 20 and then hitting enter.

Since I streamed the whole thing, I'll just export the video to youtube and put in a timestamp. Will take me a day though. I will edit this message once the export from twitch is done and I come around to annotate it. relevant part 1:17:00 where i lock up an aircraft and the boresight mode cross stays. until then here you go: Also be aware that after streaming DCS I did stream another game. So when I say a certain three letters that are not D C and S that are related to vipers, please stop watching, or you might find yourself seeing a competitive product to DCS, which is not allowed on this forum. Sorry for the inconvenience, but I didn't plan on linking this on this forum for bug reporting reasons.

When selecting a tacan station and setting tacan mode on the hsi, the hud does not update to use the tacan station as a steerpoint and will instead continue to use the selected steerpoint.

The pitch autopilot seems to work fine (attitude/altitude hold), however the heading select and steerpoint select autopilots do nothing.

Then what does the missile tone audio knob do?

Put radio squelch on. it's under the volume knobs. firstly this shouldn't happen with the radio off. and secondly those knobs should be in SQ position to begin with.

EEGS levels are missing. Currently we only get the gun funnel for level 1 eegs. However there should be an impact point projection on the funnel as well as a plane of motion indicator among other things after getting a lock. See page 186 and 404 in this here unclassified/fouo document: http://falcon.blu3wolf.com/Docs/HAF-F16-34.pdf While we are there, LCOS (lead computed optical sight) is missing.

I tried both the cold and dark quick start and one of the airstart quick missions in which you attack bandits. Going to List - 7 (CMDS) - SEQ and trying to set up any numbers there for sequence or burst amounts will then reset them back to zero when you move the cursor off the item after pressing enter.
