its been a while since i had a G2, but if thats the case, then yes you can turn settings up !
also make sure if you are doing both CPU and GPU that your PSU can cope with it ...
-
to be fair I just always assumed that the earlier ones were still require d:)
I'm not sure if they all needed fixing , so some may be missing
-
yep...is just another PCI card...
it will significantly improve your FPS on the same settings , especially if you combine it with a new processor

Thanks Stuart. I'll check them out. Do they have a spoken instructor?
They do!

No you need each block, and then apply Bagel's fix pack

I can't set the HMD knob (using mouse cursor) to any setting before it turns on to 50% by itself. I checked the key binding for it, and it isn't assigned to anything. I can't figure out why it keeps moving to 50% setting by itself. Is anyone else seeing this?
you said key binding, did you also check the axis ?

Hi mate , if you haven't tried them , the below are bloody great , and whilst not quite what you asked for i think broadly covers it , they are a campaign series of 4 "campaigns" and fixes by Bagel.. they got me back into the hornet again
Gunthrek Academy: F/A-18 Hornet - Bagel Fixpack Edition
Gunthrek Academy: F/A-18 Hornet | Block 1: Basic Navigation and Air to Ground Operations
Gunthrek Academy: F/A-18 Hornet | Block 2: Air to Ground
Gunthrek Academy: F/A-18 Hornet | Block 3: Air to Air
Gunthrek Academy: F/A-18 Hornet | Block 4: Carrier Operations

whats the frame rate of your monitor? But off the top of my head 70 is an odd number so drop that 60, turn of TAA set textures to high , flat shadow blur off, set clouds to low, chimney smoke to 1... turn off volumetric lights if you have access to discord, submit your dcs log file to the bot on the DCS channel that should help... also note the F-14 cockpit going to have bits of letters missing etc.. thats the way its modelled

not sure thats what this is ? middle is an F-16 top is an F-18 ...might just be the screen backgound

I can’t gaurentee an 8 year life but as I said my 1080ti is still going and it is overlocked and gets gamed on nearly every day…

if the 4090 works for you and DCS is your primary game / you don't care about the features of 5x series card ... just hang on to your 4090... i have a 1080ti that is still running from the factory (now in my daughters PC) but and i don't expect that my 4090 will have a much shorter life than that, which is what 8 years on or so ... when i moved from a 3090 to a 4090 i wanted the extra FPS for VR and i did sell that at the time ... but i was unhappy with the performance ... for DCS in VR.

I don't think they do, in simapp pro is there an option to configure them as axis, there usually is an option to set them as 'button', 'axis' or 'both'... (At least on other win wing devices)

Last one I got was from Amazon, not seen them on there for some time.
There seems to be some on Ebay...

It would help if the lights weren't almost invisible.

That’s what the director lights are for… just like you don’t look at the basket… don’t look at the boom, it’s not your responsibility…

If can refuel the hornet, the only difference is the diector lights focus on them stabilise one at a time
-
I use the ones for Virpil without issue, so my guess is no

It was working yesterday for me after the latest upgrade in a hornet. Maybe post a video or a track to help with diagnosis? I assume you have successfully hooked up and are getting the run up signal from the guy on the deck

I don't have your rig, on the specs I would recommend more storage another nvme drive or ssd, for dcs and depending on what you are doing maybe another 32gb of ram. The price for the hardware is a little over the odds, but not stupidly so for a prebuilt...and you could possibly save yourself a couple of hundred bucks by building it from scratch.
