Then just reassign it to another key in the controls menu. It's under the general tab, named pause.
-
Have you tried the pause/break key? It's usually next to the printscreen key.

I had the same problems when trying to find that radio for the first time. I read these and other forums for days, after reading the whole manual. Of course i was very frustrated, i thought something was broken in my game. Than i remembered, i turned down the music volume in the options

Here is the city, and the approximate range of the radio. When you make a mission starting from that airfield near the city, you can hear the radio. Just tune in to the frequency, flip to AM, and that should be it. Here is a video of somebody flying and listening to the radio, maybe it helps: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eTBZ5He1NYI

Are you switching the radio to AM?

You have to convert the xx.yy.zz coordinates to xx,zzzzzz format. That means the first one is 44 degrees, 59 minutes, 59 seconds, while the other one is 44,7449 degrees. I don't know the exact math, but it's been mentioned around these forums. edit: found it http://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=567122&postcount=21 and http://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=581494&postcount=34

Takeoff from runway means running engines, takeoff from parking is the cold state.

You mean to respawn the players heli? Its Tab+RCtrl+Rshift by default, if allow crash recovery is enabled. If not, just go back to spectator mode and then click on another player slot.
-
Just open up the mission you want to play in the editor and enable easy flight and easy avionics. Gui manual page 60. When you're done editing, save it by a different name in the multiplayer folder, you will be able to load it when creating a server.

Voice Activated Commands in Black Shark
maskim replied to maskim's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
I'm glad you like it, the datalink part and commanding my wingmen are my favourite parts as well  Unfortunately im waiting for my x52 to arrive, until then i'm just trying to learn all the systems and finishing my VAC profile. Basic flying is doable with a keyboard, but combat manouvers are a pain. I mostly just sit back, send my wingmen to recon and attack, and pop a vikhr every once in a while. But i can't wait to get my hands on the stick, and do the killing myself :) -
Same here, i could watch it without any problem yesterday. Now i wanted to show it to a friend, no luck. It shows up in GA's videos, but when i click on it, it says: "This video is not available in your country. We are unable to show you the original featured video for this channel due to age or location restrictions."

Voice Activated Commands in Black Shark
maskim replied to maskim's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
I have a hungarian keyboard setup, so some of the keys are in different places. For example, my "\" key produces a "ű". I also reassigned a couple of commands in BS to different keys, so this profile is not for the default control setup. There aren't many changes though, except for the collective and cyclic. This is intentional, some commands weren't recognized properly by BS, so i had to break them up into two or more. Try the training part, where you read the text shown on the screen. The more you train the speech program, the better accuracy you get. You can find it in control panel/speech, or just right click on vac icon when it's running, select configuration and speech training. I did three training sessions, and now it won't confuse "sam" with "send" anymore -
Voice Activated Commands in Black Shark
maskim replied to maskim's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
Well, thats really just personal preference, i for one love to say weapons hot, it sounds so professional :) But why have three different commands? Master arm is just a two way switch, one command would be enough to turn it on and then off again. Of course in that case "weapons hot" wouldn't be a proper name. I also tried to have a command to quickly tune in to Maykop Radio, and one to tune back to default frequency, but couldn't make that one working as well. Could you share your profile please? I'm sure i could use some things. -
Why PM? So you can keep your dirty little secrets about pro flying?:book: Seriously tho, whatever GA can share about hes techniques, he should do it publicly, so we can all learn from him.

Voice Activated Commands in Black Shark
maskim replied to maskim's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
It's not that hard actually, this profile took me about 10 hours to make and i just found the program yesterday. However, the current version of VAC is pre-release only, might have some bugs in it. The developer, Shift_E said, 2.2 release version will be ready in a couple of weeks. Previous stable versions don't work perfectly with BS, and have less extended key options. This program needs Microsoft Speech 5.1 or 6.1 to function properly, i think it's default on vista, but xp users have to download it. Also take some time to train the speech recognition part, because the more you train it, the better it will understand what you say. When making phrases it's best to use multiple words, this boosts the recognition accuracy. Try to avoid picking similar sounding phrases for different commands, you surely dont want to eject yourself instead of firing a missile  -
Hi This is just a short demo video made by me to show the advantages of voice commands. I'm using VAC System 2.1.9 pre release version with a custom made profile, which is far from being ready, but im sharing it anyway, since it's a good base for making your own. Thanks to Legolasindar, i found his topic here first, when searching for voice command programs. vac_bsprofile.zip

Almost, we had 6 flights of 2. But in this case, the AI was always in the 2nd position in every group, since the human players were the flight leads. So i guess that means every AI had their id set to 2. Which was already taken by the 2nd human player. The idea was to have the four human players be able to share targets and pass them on to their AI wingman as well. Since human players can't form a flight group (or i just missed it in the editor), having a 4 ship flight would mean a human lead and 3 AI wingman. If there is a second player in the game, even without a wingman, that would be more than 4 IDs. Sure, whenever we sent out any wingman to recon, we could receive their targets without any problem. I thought they just selected "all" before pressing "memory/send". So i tried to do the same, but only the human players could receive what i sent. Or maybe set a different frequency for human players, and when we want to send targets to the AI, just change it back to the original? This should work, but still, there will be wingmans with the same ID, because every one of them is in the same position in the flight. I'm gonna try this, maybe by selecting one ID, all of the wingmen will receive the data.

I used to be able to alt tab out from the game any time. But i made a mission, loaded it, and alt tab suddenly stopped working. Fortunately only in that mission, after loading a different one, it was working again. I attached the mission. Nothing fancy, i made it just to try the maikop radio station. maikop madness.miz

Okay, but how can i actually bind it? If i just click on the collective up/down in the control menu, where it says mouse, i can only select the buttons, but no axis. If it has to be done through lua editing, please give me a clue to where can i find the necessary files.
-
On a similar note, is it possible to assign commands to the mouse wheel, other than the zoom in cockpit? Im flying this beast with a keyboard and mouse for now, and it would be nice to be able to control the collective with the mouse wheel, and have a modifier pressed for zooming in cockpit. Slewing the shkval with the mouse axis should be possible as well. I plan to buy a joystick in the near future, but until then i'm learning all the systems and the navigation. So it's just about wether is it possible to use the mouse to do different things, not about me wanting to fly this sim the unholy arcade way

I must say first, i love this sim, you guys did an excellent job. Also i'v never seen such good support, keep up the good work. I tried multiplayer with a couple of friends, we all had a lot of fun, but we couldn't figure out how to send datalink targets to an A.I. wingman. I slightly modified the "Near Gundelen - coop 2" mission, so we had 6 client helicopters, each with it's own wingman, a total of 12 choppers. We could use datalink to send stuff to each other, but when i tried to send a target to my A.I. wingman and then make him engage the target via radio, he either replied with "negative" or "unable". I'm guessing he never even received the target in the first place, since the four IDs were set to human players. So the question is, how can i make the A.I. tune in to a different radio frequency, or select an id for him?
