  1. Weird issue that I can duplicate over and over again. I get into the Mission Editor...create a quick 1v1 scenario. Jump into the aircraft. Movement and everything appears to be fine. Now, if I hit F2 to see an outside view of my aircraft...no problem. The moment I hit F1 to go back into the cockpit...the mission ends and I get an error message. Logs - for whatever they are worth - attached for tech support. :helpsmilie: Logs.zip
  2. In my case, it was the other way around. I had a 'hang up' @ 12% when I was on the prior version to 34087. After having updated...it loads up super fast (like before). You might want to run DCS_Updater and see if it clears it up.
  3. Silly of me here but...what is the fix? Start the single player and then click on the Multiplayer link within the GUI? Also, what username/password are we to use? The same one we use to access the forums? On EDIT - OK, for the noobs - like me that are returning to DCS... You need to use your username/password that you use on https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/ - its that simple. Confusing a bit but I figured it out.
  4. Thanks for the replies. Yes, as I expected 4GB appears to be OK for the sim. Even with Firefox and Foxit (Adobe PDF replacement) running in the background, my box does not consume more than 3GB with A-10C running. I've actually never seen the 4GBs used. I am sure that there might be some additional benefits of adding additional RAM but I don't think that it would increase FPS. Right now its pretty much stable around 70-90fps with everything maxed out. When it does dip, never goes below 40fps from what I have observed.
  5. I have a question - would increasing the RAM to 8GB provide ANY benefit to A-10C? Right now I have 4GB and its running fantastic, but I was wondering whether increasing RAM would permit the sim to fly better - increased texture loads, etc etc. Any ideas/opinions?
  6. Very interesting. I messed around with the editor and have not been able to reproduce the error - yet. But I DO seem to recall altering the default blue vs red composition. The default is Russia vs everybody on the planet... I altered it to be Russia vs Georgia and Insurgents. That was the ONLY thing that I changed, except for maybe the standard weather, etc. but nothing out of the norm. Since I do not know what the 'me_airplane.lua' does I have no idea what would cause it to get corrupted. So...I just hope that the eventual patch prevents this from happening in the future. :music_whistling:
  7. Hey, thanks a million dude. The issue got resolved with an uninstall/reinstall as recommended by a different forum members. I will still keep this file handy just in case it pops up again, because I would like to see whether its a specific file issue or what-not. Ah, the joys of a new flight sim...LOL
  8. Good news - uninstall/reinstall did the trick. I am still curious as to why this happened in the first place. Thanks for the assist!
  9. Very, very cool! Thanks for providing this link. Now, as soon as I can get DCS:BS working again I will reconfigure the controllers. :noexpression:
  10. Sure, go ahead and post the file me_airplane.lua The full path is in the error message posted - appears to be under \Blackshark\modules\...something else. Let's see whether replacing the file fixes the problem. As of yet, I have not been able to restart DCS:BS
  11. Peculiar issue. I reported and posted another (similar) instance. Did you ever get a response about this?
  12. :helpsmilie: Umm...OK, this is a strange one. First off...I have NOT screwed around with modifying the LUA files in any manner. Second...this error started to appear after my first mission (created by me via the editor). I played the mission...got hit by the Shilka  and then belly flopped not too far away from the convoy I was supposed to nail. OK, cool. I clicked on the Quit button on the pop-up screen and then the error popped up. Hmmm... Proceeded to click the OK in the error window and shrugged it off. I then proceeded to double-click on the game icon on the desktop...game appears to start up normally and then...:noexpression:...the error pops up again. Please see the attached screen capture. Any ideas folks? Core 2 Duo E6600 2GB DDR2 RAM - Corsair XMS EVGA 8800GT 512MB DDR3 (not the latest Nvidia drivers given the headaches those have caused...) Windows XP SP 2 CH Products Fighterstick and Pro Throttle (still think something is amiss with these under DCS:BS....)
  13. OK, I will give that a try. Never had any issues under LOMAC. Anyways, DCS:BS is going to force me to buy the CH Products pedals... :music_whistling:
  14. Figured it out. Please ignore...
  15. OK...finally decided to purchase and download BS. Everything looked good until I realized that I could not fly the darned chopper. I have already messed around with the Axis Commands, etc and for some odd reason I cannot get the collective to work. Its as if the autopilot is stuck. I have tried the key commands as well as clicking on the in-cockpit buttons to completely disable the auto-pilot...to no avail. The bird will hold altitude and not do anything. This happens in realistic flight mode, as well as in casual flight mode. Can somebody please tell me what the heck is wrong with the controllers? Controllers have been auto-detected and calibrated under Windows. Thx.
