  1. I have issues running Liberation 2.0 on the PG map just in SP...can become a slide show. Caucasus and NTTR are super smooth - no issues for me even when hosting one or two buddies. Has to be something with the map itself...
  2. Khopa - great work and its tons of fun. One thing that I can report is that the PG 'Invasion of Iran' severely taxes my gaming rig. Caucasus and NTTR run butter smooth. Zero issues. One thing that baffles me is why AWACS and the tankers fly right over enemy territory or troops. Luckily they don't get shotdown but I cannot use the tankers unfortunately. Keep up the great work and seriously consider a Patreon page. You deserve the support.
  3. Yeah, same here but its more noticeable whenever I run a PG based campaign. Caucasus runs smoother. Today I flew it multiplayer with a buddy and I was able to host him and run the mission - was pretty good overall. Definitely a nice addition to DCS's rather stale environment. Really happy with it and kudos to the dev.
  4. Been using the Rift S - first VR gear for me - in DCS....and I have given away my TrackIR 5. Cannot go back to a monitor and TIR. Resolution is OK but the immersion second-to-none. ACM has been incredible and its turned my sim world upside down. What sim flight should be.
  5. Yes, ALL of the VRAM will be used by whatever map you are using for the mission. That is standard. This is also why graphics cards with more VRAM are preferable under DCS. VRAM is hyper-critical for all textures and lighting effects under applications. Programmers use that RAM first since it is faster for GPU access. Once the VRAM is exhausted, it starts eating away at your SYSTEM RAM. A lot of people say, "Oh, get more SYS RAM"...and they have puny 4GB video cards. 8GB video cards are a MINIMUM for DCS. Wags has stated that all maps have a limit based on AVAILABLE and average hardware specs. Most users actually do not have "uber-rigs" so they have to limit the software. Persian Gulf map I think, was their first true map that took advantage of 8GB. I have noticed that just sitting in the DCS splash screen - program start - the VRAM usage drastically increases. I believe that this was a VRAM memory leak that has made a comeback... Bottomline - make sure you video cards have minimum 8GB and your system RAM starts at 16GB. This is definitely a baseline moving forward as DCS progresses.
  6. Yup, saw that the other day when flying some ACM with some buddies. I don't know whether it would have any performance impacts but one has to wonder whether its a good idea to have that kind of data spewing all over the F10 map. What's the point, no? SAMs....maybe.
  7. So....do we have a bracket created yet? How is this going to pan out? Multiple sessions at the same time, etc? If not, this is going to be a long while... An update would be appreciated.
  8. Got the Rift S a month ago...and I am now packing up the TrackIR and the DELANCLiP and donating it to a simming buddy who still uses a POV hat for his in-game views. What TrackIR was for simming 10+ years ago...VR is leaps and bounds better.
  9. https://www.timeanddate.com/moon/ Use that, works wonders for night mission full moon.
  10. I don't use the TM TARGET software. I map everything within DCS itself. The attached screenshot are my current graphical settings for my Oculus Rift S VR gear. Not shown is the VR PD value of 1.8. Try those settings out and work from there. Let me know if you have any questions.
  11. Try this - https://www.onlinedoctranslator.com/en/ You will have to split up the original PDF into smaller sizes since its 58MB in size...
  12. If you have Tacview, please post sample files showing this behavior. the SFM is easily detectable by its "patterns" of flight.
  13. What I have done, to some degree of short-term success, is placing drones above AAA units. These drones are late activated and triggered to appear when the players are inbound to the target. Then the AAA will start shooting at them. For some reason, immortality does not work as planned with the drones and they get shot down eventually and the AAA fire stops. I might continue experimenting but its a small solution for a desired effect.
  14. Silly question... Given the age of this particular thread - are the tips/tricks listed still valid under the 2.5.5 editor? Thanks
  15. Reinstall Tacview where? On the client box? On the dedicated server? Please clarify your comment.
  16. Interesting, yet another poster right after you reported that removing the A-4 module fixed his issue. BTW, there has been a new released version of the A-4...maybe using that fixes it? :music_whistling:

  18. I run a dedicated server off my spare rig and I have a small group of flyers that get together to fly practice missions, ACM, planned missions, etc. We're very laid back. Nobody telling anybody what to do just helping each other out learning the different birds etc and just having a fun time. Jump on over to the WingmanFinder Discord channel and look me up and PM me if you'd like to join. We usually fly MDT/PST time zone.
  19. Do you have the A-4 module installed? Looks like its the common factor.
  20. Multiplayer Latest Nvidia drivers Latest Oculus software Map - Caucasus VR See signature for hardware YES, I have run a REPAIR. I am the mission designer of this mission. Only one other user is seeing issues when selecting a Hornet in Kobuleti. Whenever I select a Hornet, it appears to be OK for a while but then suddenly it can sink into the ground or levitate. Game just locks up. Other times, no issues and it appears to work but then it stops and appears to just float. Before it would only happen after I had been shot down and would have to respawn in a new bird. If I select the Harrier or the Warthog in the mission...zero problems - this leads me to believe that it is the Hornet module related... I'd like to know whether DCS updates mess with the missions created by end users. If so, I would appreciate that release note be made with potential issues that would have to be addressed or are known. Also, one user was reported that the newly added aircraft to Kobuleti airfield (Hornets...) were not working for him. He states that his was always levitating.... No other users reporting issues. Thanks... Caus_BattleOfKutaisi - V2.6 - WINTER-20190614-175628.trk Caus_BattleOfKutaisi - V2.6 - WINTER.miz
  21. No. The AI will use the advanced waypoint and keep it until a different command is issued. So, if you want a specific formation you assign it to the first waypoint and the AI will fly that formation all the way through the flight plan. If you want them to change formation, etc at a certain point, you assign it to that waypoint. You can definitely modify the AI behavior throughout the flight plan.
  22. Here's the deal. Many mobile SAM units have optical backups. SA-19 and SA-15 TOR come to mind. They have search radars or ranging radars which can be targeted with the HARM but even it you nail them, you are still vulnerable to their optics suites if within range. So, keep that in mind.
  23. Thanks Delta99 - will check them out!
