So i'm a day 1 Hog driver and I've been trying to knock out a bridge with GBU12s and GBU38s (if memory serves). I mark the bridge on the pod and hit TMS up, which I think makes it SPI. Then I enter CCRP, line up, wait for the count down and pickle the release until the bomb comes off. I never hit it, not even that close. Any simple training vids? I've got about a million questions after today's flights. Just one for now though - how do u get the TAD out of EXP1 mode and back to normal with your ship central? I got shot up by some sort of AAA earlier and was very impressed by my Hog's ability to limp home at 150 knots on one engine and I didn't even smash her up on landing (although I will admit that I rolled off the end of the runway because I didn't realise that wheel brakes were inop). I'm trying the unguided bomb training mission and I'm stuck because I can't enter the min release altitude into the mk82's profile. I punch in 1500 but it doesn't appear anywhere and on the HUD I see a CICU input error. What should I do to get this right? [EDIT - just spotted the CLR button, hit that, punched in 1500 and now the min alt is set!] :) This A-10C module is AMAZING but I feel like I've been beaten around the head with a brick having spent all day learning the very basics of it!

Whereabouts can I find the Graphical Layout for the A-10C control assignments? In the folder I find A-10A, F-15C, etc, etc but no A-10C?

Day one on the A-10C module and clickable cockpits! I'm trying to get the ANTI COLLISION switch to stay in the ON position. When I left or right click it the switch moves and then reverts back to OFF. Same issue getting the EAC switch to stay in the ARM position. What am I doing wrong?

Problem solved - the assignments are all correct. The throttle problem was because I'd never used the off/idle raise movement and the roll problem seems to be that the stick won't move left or right without hydraulics. I have the engines running now!!! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I've been using the F-15C profile successfully and am very thankful for it! I've just bought the A-10C module and I've loaded the A-10C profile for my Warthog joystick and throttle, and my Saitek Combat pedals. When in the cockpit I can move the stick back and forth (pitch) OK but it won't move side to side. Similarly the throttle won't move. What am I doing wrong? PS In the cockpit I can see that all the button assignments are correct because when I move the switches and press buttons on the throttle and stick the corresponding cockpit buttons move. I also go into 'Tune Axis' and I can see the axis move when I move them on the controllers. However, I don't see them move in the cockpit. Ideas?

Thanks for the updated docs! Where I need more information should I refer to the flight manual? In BFT06 I found '- Modify the rate of descent or pattern by techniques to attain the selected landing area'. I just ran off the end of the runway due to landing too fast so I was wondering what techniques I can use to improve my approach on the forced landing.

Question about BFT12 low level. I'm able to join the flight lead, so that's the first step done. However, after he goes into burner he rapidly hits the brakes during the descent and although i'm either at his altitude or fractionally above I keep getting busted for being too high. I guess I should stick to being a little below him but I'm surprised to keep getting busted for altitude when i'm right on his tail. A broader question - could a good DCS pilot hop into BFT12 and pass? After failing i've tried to keep on lead's tail and I'm able to almost keep up when he goes into burner but i always overshoot when he suddenly opens his brake. It feels like I need to know what he's about to do otherwise by the time he's in burner I get out of formation as my engines take time to spool up and worse i can't slow down fast enough. Tips appreciated.

I know I'm being dumb but I've installed the documentation package and I've got a PDF for each mission. For BFT03 I've got a 4 page PDF that is the same as the pre-flight briefing. I'm presuming that i'm not looking in the right place for more detailed documentation?

On mission BFT03 Fly Traffic Pattern I'm struggling to meet my instructor at waypoint 2. I've got Nav mode selected (not ILS) and i've scrolled to waypoint 2 but I don't get how to use the Bank Steering Index - it doesn't seem to point me to go anywhere. I tried flying the mission a couple of times using the Nav to try to get to waypoint 2 but in the end I switched on the radar and found an F-15 circling at 200kts at angels 8 somewhere near the waypoint (I think) but he ignored me after I joined his wing and flew with him for a while. Any tips? I've read the manual about the Nav mode and Bank Steering Index but no joy in getting it to work.

I just installed them. You need to rename the .miz file downloaded to .exe and then run it. Instructions for the (not very simple) installation and licence key process are on the mapleflagmission website.

I just passed that mission for the first time last night. Are you maintaining a climb out angel of between 5-10 degrees? Are you flying on a heading of 300 or at 300 knots - the former being correct? Are you accurately flying the climb out speeds that you're given?

I'm learning DCS and have found that the F12 key centres my TrackIR but is meant to be the comms menu command. Do people remap the TrackIR commands and what is commonly used? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I'm just learning DCS so apols for the dumb questions... 1) In the guns only mission I start by switching on the radar, putting in TWS and pulling the range into 10 miles. I don't see any targets on the radar whenever I start this mission. Is there something special about the mission that means the radar is disabled, or more likely, am i doing something incredibly stupid? 2) I'm only able to get a couple of very short bursts out of the gun - i'm talking maybe a second in total. I started a couple of weeks ago in DCS 2.0 and I was able to fire the gun freely. Again, is this mission specific or am i doing something wrong?

I have just installed DCS World 1.5 and I have been trying out the 1v1 guns instant action mission. The instructions say to hit the '\' key to open the comms menu but when I hit the key labelled '\' on my keyboard the menu doesn't come up. I tried a few different keys and the menu does come up with i hit something like '`' or similar, anyway it's one of the keys on the right hand side near the return key. If I open Notepad and hit the '\' key then it works normally. Am i doing something stupid or do I need to tell DCS which keyboard mapping to use?

Thanks for the super fast response. I'll get 1.5 setup. I have been experiencing some stuttering in 2.0 so I'll be interested to see if I get that in 2.0 as well. I think I know the answers from this thread (http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=135473) but... 1) NTTR isn't compatible with 1.5 but the only modules I own are NTTR and the F-15C. Do I need to buy the Black Sea module or does that come with 1.5 by default? If i need to buy a module then is it the FC3 one? 2) 1.5 doesn't support EDGE does it? I love the graphics in 2.0 so I'll be interested to see how different 1.5 is.

I'm new to DCS so sorry for the question. I have just built a PC and got DCS 2.0 with NTTR setup. Do i need to install DCS 1.5 for this campaign and if so can I leave 2.0 installed or do i need to uninstall it?
