  1. Humm well I'm not sure what i did but it seems to be working now. I unistalled everything and reinstalled version 6.6.0.38 (6.6.1.15). Thanks for the quick help Slayer!
  2. Thanks i have tried to be very careful in my macro input methods and I don't think that is the problem. I had been using the newer beta version of the program with the same issues and thought that i was simply having issues with it because the beta version was buggy, but i'll try a fresh new install and see if it helps. I forgot about the dedicated HOTAS Subforum, oopps. I can't move this post though, correct?
  3. I am having a very frustrating problem occur with my Saitek Profile Editor Software. I Just bought the X-52 Pro and wanted use the SST to build a profile for DCS-BS as apposed to using the in game menu system. The problem i run into is after i have programmed about 30+ commands with the software already it starts to un-map and re-map previously entered buttons to new commands on its own. For example i might set switch "A" to raise / lower gear and then i would program switch "E" to lock target. Then i would notice that the software has remapped switch "A" to lock target. It doesn't happen to all the buttons but enough to drive me nuts. I have looked on Saitek's forums and a bit though the forums here but didn't find anyone really with the same problems. I thought someone mentioned that their software "got a little screwy" when they had a bunch of Modes and Sub-Modes setup. I have 3 main modes, and 3 sub-modes for a total of 6. Not sure if this could be overloading something. I hope someone can shed some light on all this! I'm running Vista 64 Saitek Driver Version: 6.2.2.4 (64-bit) Saitek Software Version: 6.2.2.4 BTW, i had the same problem when i went to create a new profile for FSX..
  4. That's great that it all went together so easily. What LCD monitor did you do the mod to? I am ready to do this with mine, but i have been having some problems getting touchbuddy to communicate with Black Shark. I suppose i'll end up doing this if i can get touchbuddy to work, especially since the frame rate hit for me really is not that bad.
  5. I have a quick question. Do you guys think that the A-10 module will have the same attention to detail and simulation accuracy as does Black Shark? Basically will every switch in the sim do exactly what it would do in the real aircraft, and can we expect similar aircraft system reproduction?
  6. I anxiously await your report!
  7. You can certainly use the mouse to control this instead of buying a touch screen, and i have used the scaling feature in touchbuddy, and it seems to scale everything just fine. It has the option to maintain the original aspect ratio, so the only tough part really is then re-aligning the ABRIS overlay to fit the gap in the Touchbuddy skin correctly. The downside to using a higher resolution than 1024X768 is that it may dramatically lower your game's frame rate, which is why DickDastardly uses 1024X768 for both his side monitors. Yes the Bezel is just your monitor's front edge which may be a decorative or function piece as CyBerkut said. it usually has holes for the power, contract, menu, ect. buttons and may be physically holding part of the LCD panel in place inside the monitor. When considering buying a touch screen kit to retro fit your LCD monitor some company's / ebay auction's make mention that after installation there may be a slight fitment issues since the touch screen has to fit between the monitor's Bezel and the actual LCD screen. On my Dell 19" ultra sharp monitor there seems to be very little room for any additional thickness so i was just asking around if anyone had experience do the mod to see how obtrusive the new touch screen might be.
  8. Ah yes i have noticed that some do not support Vista with their drivers yet, but it seems as though there are several others that do still, and i just wanted to know if people thought the quality varied much from item to item much. To be honest they all look the same and all have roughly the same basic construction. One thought with my Dell 19" LCD is that i would really hate to have an issue where the front bezel did not fit back into place correctly after the touchscreen's installation, so i wasn't sure if people with experience doing the mods had any issues. I am fairly technically adapt so i would mind making modifications to the monitor if i had to though.
  9. Wow i love this idea of a Touch Screen Conversion Kit. I've been checking Ebay for some to fit my extra 19" Dell 4:3 monitor and there seems to be a few. Does anyone have any experience with a particular kit? What is the Quality of these units like, and should I be looking for certain features or quality components?
