  1. Thanks, Beldin for your great photos. I was looking at the USS Bowen the other day. She needs to be reworked. Yep, older ships are coming. I didn't know much about texturing when I released the older vessels like the Bowen and Bainbridge. I will add Bowen to my Shipyard list to be worked on. I improve the textures. Every day I practice texturing ships in Substance Painter to stay busy. I've found that texturing ships in SP reduces the time it takes to create ship mods. However, I need to work on reducing the number of objects that need texturing because the more objects the more textures. At least 6 textures per object. It adds up after a while. Last night I worked on the USS Farragut. Just practice. With that said. I need to fix the amount of objects being textured before releasing the Italian ships. *** On another note I will be away from PC from now until Apr 29th. So I will not be responding to any comments for a few days. Thank you all for your continued interest in the AI Ship mods.***
  2. Hey Toni, I have a model of the USS Belknap but unfortunately, I can't release it. The original artists asked me not to share it. In short, it was stolen and sold online by someone. There is another one sold online that is half-price right now. It's not great but it will due. I will send you the link for it if you like to acquire it. I will look at what work needs to be done to the Farragut once I start working on the Virginia Class. Thanks, Roobarbjapan for answering Toni's question. Thanks.
  3. Hey Flyingscotsmans, thanks i appreciate it. I'm happy to know most of you are still interested in my AI DCS Ship mods I put out. the Iranian warship doesn't have any surface-to-air missiles but if get close enough the guns will take you out. She's a sitting duck when it comes to anti-ship missiles. So progress on the Italian Frigate is coming along well. However, it has come to my immediate attention that the USS Forrestal Battle Group has a lack of Warships to defend her. I will fix that. First up will be the USS Virginia Class. I will work on her as I'm working on the other mods. She will be released in the immediate future.
  4. You are very welcome HighMaintenanceB. I really appreciate it. It keeps me going. Thanks. Last night I spent some time in Substance Painter playing with textures on the Italian Frigate Comandante Cigala Fulgosi. Rust and weathering will be added later. I'm just trying to figure out which textures work best on the model. I think I have ironed out the best Hull and deck textures. WIP!! As mentioned before. I will not set a release date. Stay tuned. Thank you all.
  5. Alvand's coding error has been resolved. That's what happens when you tamper with the mod before release. Thanks again Mmarques. Iranian Frigate IRIS Alvand
  6. Thanks, Mmarques, you have eagle eyes, my friend. I will scour the code and send out an update. The mod still appears in-game correct? It's the same mod I'm playing with in DCS.
  7. Good Evening everyone. I have released the Iranian Frigate IRIS Alvand with liveries of the IRIS Alborz (72) & IRIS Sabalan (73). The flight deck area is too small to land a helicopter unless you land sideways but it will be a tight fit. I think it was placed on the ships for cargo drops. The Alvand classor Saam classwas originally a class of four frigates built for the Imperial Iranian Navy. They were renamed after the Iranian Revolution and served in the Islamic Republic of Iran Navy during the Iran-Iraq War. Three still remain in service. A fourth was sunk by the U.S. Navy in 1988 during Operation Praying Mantis on 18 April 1988. Located by two American A-6E Intruders of Attack Squadron VA-95 steaming roughly 16 kilometers (10 mi) southwest of Larak Island, she was hit by two Harpoon missiles and four AGM-123 Skipper II laser-guided missiles. A pair of Rockeye cluster bombs from the aircraft and a single Harpoon from the destroyerUSS Joseph Straussfinished the destruction of the ship. Thank you all for your patience. Please notify me if you have any major technical issues. Enjoy!
  8. Hello Xerad, I ran both mods through Avast Virus software and It didn't pick up any viruses.
  9. Hello Xerad, Thanks, I will download both mods to see if my Virus software picks up any viruses. Have the virus software on your PC check the mods for viruses because browsers sometimes throw off false positives. You are the first to report any viruses on the mods. Both have been released for some time now. Thanks.
  10. Thanks, Beldin for uploading and sharing the screenshots with the Forum. Yes, I received them. I just haven't had time to sit down and concentrate on them. I planned to lighten the flight deck textures a little so you can see oil and grease spots. I will dirty her up a little. I need to correct the US Flag and add weapon sounds & files as well. In time. The V-22s look fine to me. In the present day, I mostly see F-35s on deck. Looks good. Great job with the landing spots. Thanks again.
  11. Thanks Thanatos31, I appreciate that. Nice photo. I try to make each one better than the last. Each mod I learn something new. To answer your question. Yes, that's my plan after I release the next group of mods. I will revisit all the Amphibious ships. America is one of those ships. Beldin has made my job a bit easier with creating the landing and parking spots on deck. I play with her sometimes to see what work I need to do on her but to make sure everything is running as it should. I need to sit down and take my time with her because it's a bigger ship. At the moment she's working great in DCS.
  12. Thanks, Citizen. I assume your lag has diminished. The idea of the mod came from what's going on in the Red Sea. A Loaded ammunition ship headed for Yemen.
  13. Hey guys, I have made an optional version of the Rebel ship with tarps. I don't want to hurt Eddie's eyes. Also, some of you may not want to see the missiles and bombs. I found a free downloadable tarp on Sketchfab. Enjoy. Version 1.0.2 with Tarps I'm headed back to the Shipyard.
  14. Too late Eddie, I've already reduced the size of the file and uploaded an update. I need to find a tarp or something to cover them with. Next update. Hello everyone I have reduced the file size of the mod. It should be game-friendly. Rebel Ship Oscar 1.0.1 has been updated and released.
  15. Hey Citizen, it's weird because I reduced the file size but when I updated the weapons the file size grew again. I will reduce it again to make it game-friendly. No worries. Thanks for the feedback.
  16. Hey HawaiianRyan. It is now. I forgot to publish the website update. Thanks. Hey Tripod. The Icebreaker is a WIP. The textures need to be overhauled.
  17. Thanks Toan. We have to always adjust to the updates DCS releases. Everyone I have released the Rebel Ship Oscar. Nothing fancy about her. It's a nice size file because of the weapons I added on the topside decks. I probably should have placed tarps on top of them. I don't think any ships would be crazy enough to carry weapons on deck to be seen. Enjoy.
  18. Good Morning and Good afternoon everyone. I have released LPD Foudre version 1.0.3 hull update. I will send the Iranian Frigate out for testing today. Hoping to release her tomorrow. Thank you all for your patience.
  19. I am. The one thing I don't want is to make 3d modeling a job. That's why I pace myself. I think everyone understands by now. I do what I can when I can. Thanks, HighMaintenance. I forgot, I will send you a PM after this. That is a beautiful model and no, they probably won't sell it. I've asked several 3d artists about selling their mods and all of them said no. I think because they belong to a company of some sort. Check this model. USNS Rappahannock (T-AO-204)
  20. That sounds like the gator I was on. My first ship the USS Spiegel Grove L3D-32. Our racks were no more than 2-3 inches thick and we slept under wool blankets. Always broke down and import. Now the US Marines had it bad. They had a cot to sleep on. It was just a thick layer of fabric. Just enough to hold them up and they were stacked like bunk beds. 3 beds high. We ate pretty well onboard. New Recruits had to work 90 days in the Galley cleaning dishes, serving food, and gathering supplies for the cooks. They were called Mess Cranks. 1986-1989. I still remember those days. Life was pretty good for me back then.
  21. Hey Eddie, Yeah, we use the smooth tool in 3d max to correct the wrinkles. However, what I'm seeing is it depends on the 3d model itself. In some models, the smoothing works great. In the case of the Foudre. I had to replace the entire hull because Smoothing made it worse. I think because it's a very low poly model. The 2nd photo is an example of a bad smoothing. I will upload the latest Foudre Edm when I finish correcting this issue. Smoothing may work on that model Eddie if it's a higher poly model. I like that LST. Is it still around in the UK? Thanks for that insight, Toan. I try to keep up with all DCS updates that will affect the 3d models. I didn't see anything on that. I don't see the issue often just mentioned with low poly models. All, try Toan's fix to see if that corrects the wrinkles and dark spots in the hull. Thanks.
  22. No worries. Thanks. It looks fine in Max. I will export it again to see if that corrects the black spots before someone nitpicks it. Thanks.
  23. All i have uploaded the latest version of the LPD Foudre version 1.0.2. Please report any issues you see. Thanks. https://sites.google.com/view/admiral189dcsworldmods/warships?authuser=0 LCM-8 Landing Craft Mechanized NEWS. She is almost complete. I think she is a beauty and will be another great asset to DCS. The modeler did a great job creating it. I'm already playing with the textures in Substance Painter on an older version. There's more to this model though. As you all can see I'm trying to stay busy. Stay tuned.
