  1. Thanks, Ironghost, your right. We have to take care of ourselves. Most will never understand until they are disabled. Hello everyone, as promised. I have released the ITS Cavour Aircraft Carrier. I broke the Thaon di Revel Class mod code yesterday so I'm piecing her back together one code at a time. I will release her once I finish. *** As mentioned. There is a known issue with the AI Player AH-64 Apache helicopter, it creates lag when spawning onboard the ITS Cavour. All other AI Player aircraft FPS were above 100. Not sure why the AH-64 creates a problem. I don't have the Kiowa for testing. *** Also, you may or may not see issues with the Aster 15 Missile exploding on launch. I'm working to resolve that issue. Keep in mind all we do is code the mods. DCS Game engine decides what it wants to do with the code. Please report any major technical issues. It's best you PM me. I don't monitor the forums much while I'm working on the mods. -- Next up is the French and Italian Horizon Class Frigates. Thank you all for your patience. Please enjoy the mod.
  2. Good Morning Everyone, Thank you all for your kind words. It means a lot. Most people don't understand the mental impact of being disabled by pain. So I appreciate it. It's good to know some of you care and I thank you all for that. That is why I will continue to provide AI ship mods for DCS because of your continued support. As promised I will be releasing the Cavour Carrier and the Paolo Thaon di Revel class Offshore Patrol Vessel. I am preparing them for release as I write this message. -- Known Aircraft issues with the Cavour are the AH-64 Apache Player creates a lag in the game but I receive an FPS of 100 plus with all other aircraft. I don't have the Kiowa mod so I couldn't test her FPS on deck. --I also see some issues with the Aster 15 Missiles but it's hit or miss when the missiles launch. They tend to explode after launching. I have been working to fix this issue. However, all the deck guns work great. I will finish testing her this afternoon and release her either late today or tomorrow morning. --Lastly, I can't get the collision model damage textures to work but I will continue to work on both mods until I fix it. Stay tuned for release.
  3. Good Morning Everyone, I hope everyone is doing well. As Eddie mentioned I'm still having back issues but I'm pushing through it. I'm not going to bore you with my health problems. I took a short break away from the Forums but I was behind the scenes working on the Italian ITS Cavour Aircraft carrier. She is 99% complete. I will finish the aft missile launcher cell animations today. All weapons work as they should. I plan to release her this weekend along with the Paolo Thaon di Revel class Offshore Patrol Vessel. This couldn't have been done with the expertise of Beldin. He has a unique talent for creating Aircraft deck parking and takeoff. As you can see below she is fully loaded. I need some help from you all though. I need a Harrier or F35 Aircraft Player to do some testing for me. Not sure if there's a flyable F-35 in DCS. I haven't seen one at least. So if you fly the Harrier please PM me and I will send the Cavour over for testing. Armament: 2x OtoMelara 76 mm guns, 3x OtoMelara Oerlikon KBA 25mm guns and 4x 8 cell Sylver Launchers.   4. Good Afternoon everyone and Happy Thanksgiving to those living in the US. Not sure if other countries celebrate it or not. Hey Citizen, they tried testing a new radar on the Spruance but it seems like they could have created something better looking than that. Hey, Gianky. No, I meant assistance with the coding. Coding the helicopter landing and takeoff is easy, but the aircraft landing and parking are different. We have to code the aircraft to park in the areas with the arrows. Otherwise, the aircraft may go over the side of the ship. Once I get the Cavour In the water I will test the AI Aircraft landing on deck to see how they react. I got a bit carried away the other day. I started working on the French Georges Leygues Class Frigate but it required a bit more work than I thought. I planned to release the Georges along with the Lafayette Class but it didn't turn out the way I planned. I realized there are two versions of the Georges Class. As mentioned when I get distracted on one mod I will work on other mods. Anyway, stay tuned more great mods are coming.
  5. Thanks, Guys, That's good information. That will be an easy adjustment to the VLS launcher cells. It's weird to see a Sea Sparrow and an RIM launcher aft on the ship so close to each other on deck. I'm sure it was more of a test to see how the RIM performs.
  6. Yesterday, I finished texturing the Italian Ship Paolo Thaon and created three liveries. Afterward, to keep me motivated I started texturing the Cavour. It's still a WIP. I will need assistance with aircraft parking so it may take some time to get her Battle ready.
  7. Hey Citizen, it shows they carried more Tomahawks but whose to say they didn't have the TASMs onboard. I've been trying to find out which ships carried the TASMs. If the Spruance did carry them I would add them. The TASMs were removed from service in 1994.
  8. I'm finishing up the Italian Thaon di Revel-class offshore patrol vessels. Indonesia also owns a couple of the Paolo Thaon di Revel ship class.
  9. Thanks for the photos guys. Keep them coming. I didn't realize until now that the Spruance Class Destroyer is more of a Tomahawk Missile launch platform and it doesn't carry many anti-Air Missiles. I see why they decommissioned it. It would have been great if they added some SM-2 missiles to the VLS Cells. I haven't added the weapons to the USS Kidd yet. I will import/merge the weapons from the Ticonderoga Class.

I will finish them today and import the weapons from the other mods. I'm not great at texturing mods but I do my best. I use my imagination and photo references.
  11. Good Afternoon/Evening everyone and Happy Saturday. I have released the Italian Mod Pack Version 1.0.0 BETA. The mod pack includes the Comandante and FREMM Frigates Alpino & Luigi Rizzo with Liveries. Features are shown below. KNOWN Issues. Known issues will be corrected in version Two. FREMM Frigate hull numbers are blurry when viewed far away. FREMM Frigate Damage Textures I will release the Paolo Thaon di Revel class patrol vessel in version two with the updated FREMM Frigates. Cavour and Horizon Class Frigates will be future mods. I know everyone here has an opinion of how mod weapons should function in DCS. If you recognize a weapon that can be tweaked.   13. Thanks, Slippa, my mods aren't up to ED standards. It's ok I like being independent as do most modders for DCS. So I'm sure you can relate to what I'm going through. Hey RWC. Nice, I'm sure it will be routine for the US Carriers to make pit stops in Oslo. Norway looks like a beautiful country. Just FYI, I have the Nansen and De Zeven Provinciën-class frigate in my collection as well. Timex3, no I'm still working on the USS Bowen. It's a complete rebuild of the old one. Two versions. Thanks DJOGOO77. I'm happy to hear that. I will finish what I started including the Cavour. I haven't forgotten about her. I'm packing the Italian mods for release later this week. Bbtbmb, thanks I appreciate that. It helps. I want to thank you all for the motivation and support guys it's something I don't have a lot of these days but I will be ok. It'll take time but I will get through It. I had to step back and look at how I create mods. Instead of trying to create the ship mods all at once in a few days like I used to. I will work on them in stages. Stage 1 creating UVs for the mod and texturing in Substance Painter. Stage 2 exporting the mesh, and textures from SP and texturing the mod. Stage 2 may require rework of the textures so it will take some time. Stage 3 is animating and coding all the weapons, props & radars. Coding requires a good eye because a letter, comma or period misplaced will cause problems. Stage 4 is testing the mods in DCS. This is the longest stage because it requires you to log into and out of DCS. This is how I create mods but others may work on them differently. I'm sure it's similar to how ED creates mods but of course, they have a team of guys to work on them. Thanks again, everyone. I have to get back to work. You all will have your hands on the Italian Mods Pack Beta this week. I will completely rework the FREMM Frigates and re-texture them. For some reason, they didn't turn out right.   14. RWC, do you live in Norway? I know the USS Gerald Ford was there last year or early this year but I didn't know the USS Harry Truman was visiting as well. When I was stationed in Virginia in the 90s I saw four carriers in port at once. It's unusual but it was during the holidays.
  15. Hello everyone, I hope everyone is doing well. I just wanted to give you all an update on where I stand. I will be having back surgery the first week of Dec. Something I have been trying to avoid for the past 9 1/2 years. However, all my other options to get back pain relief have been exhausted. So this is it for me. I'm just praying for relief. So to not think about surgery so much I have been working on AI Ship mods. They include Kidd, Spruance Class destroyers, the USS Bowen, and the Thaon di Revel class frigate. I'm hoping to release the Thaon di Revel class frigate with the Italian pack before my surgery. I will be releasing them as a Beta version although I'm not happy with the textures of the FREMM class. I plan to completely redo the FREEM Class as I have been software to help with creating UVs. Anyway, that's the plan. I don't have any specific time frame to release them. I will just release them so stay tuned and thanks for your patience. Photos are below of the AI Mods I'm working on. All are still a WIP.
  16. Hello, Everyone. I'm sorry I've been absent, but I had another back procedure last week that took a toll on my back. It's called a Discogram. I honestly think it made my condition worse but they found more issues with the discs in my spine. I can possibly see back surgery in the near future. I'm still recovering from that procedure.   18. RWC that's great to hear. I assume you create missions with her. Maybe for the next ship, I will be more creative. The sky is the limit regarding ships in DCS with what we can do with them. I may add missiles to the next ship to make it more interesting and challenging. -- The Rebel ship falls under Iran but if you want to add more countries, add these line items inside the brackets @ line 87 { "Russia", "Yemen", "Syria", } . Whatever country you like. Thanks, RWC. Everyone check out the Royal Netherlands ships. This is what keeps me motivated watching things like this. I have two of these ships in my inventory. Enjoy.
  19. Hello Nghitran, I don't see a problem with upgrading the missile as long as it's part of the load out of the Molniya/Tarantul ship. I will make a note of it. Yes, we may have to adjust the speed of the missile probably. Hey RWC, happy to hear you worked it out. I try to keep the names as close as possible because it brings on conflicts. That's another issue I see. Wrong name spelling is another reason why mods don't appear in the game as well. --- You know RWC there's a livery # or name we can use to remove certain textures on a mod which would be much easier than creating two separate mods. That way I can just create two Lua files vice two shape files. I need to find it though but I know it's possible. Honestly, I didn't think there would be much interest in the Suspect/Rogue ship. Happy to hear you all play with it. I will create a new one but much smaller. I have the perfect vessel in mind.
  20. Hey RWC & CRUD thanks for the feedback. RWC, sorry to hear you're having issues with the latest Rebel mod. I also updated DCS to the latest version but I didn't have any graphics issues. I'm using an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3080 TI graphics card. Did you see anything in the DCS Logs that would give you an indication of what it might be? Let me know. Thanks. CRUD, you're right the Tarantul Corvette has stopped working in DCS. ED has probably updated their weapons code which caused the existing code to stop working. Whenever a mod doesn't appear in DCS. The first thing I do is disable all the weapons and or a few weapons and that helps me determine sometimes where the problem lies. --- CRUD, I have all new USCGC mods. To include the Island, Sentinel-class, and new small patrol boats including a new USCG Response boat so there coming. Maybe one month i will just create all small patrol boats. 99% of the time when a mod doesn't appear in DCS it's usually because of the weapons code at least that's what I see. So I disabled all the weapons in the Tarantul mod files and it appeared in DCS. So I need to rework the weapon code on the Tarantul mod. With that said, I will bring it into the shipyard and work on her. Thanks again CRUD. --- Concerning the Italian Fleet. For some reason, the hull numbers on the FREMM are blurry when looking at them from a distance in DCS. Once completed, I will release them. Sorry, it's taking a while but it seems Medical appointments have become my part-time job and I'm not getting paid for them. --- On another note. Thank you all for your continued interest in the mods. Otherwise, I probably would have stopped creating mods by now due to the ongoing health issues but as long as you all have an interest the more AI DCS Ship mods I will create. The Horizon Class Missile Frigates are next in line. Stay safe out there.
  21. Hey Rich, the Pilot Boat can be seen in the countries listed. It's at the bottom listed under each country as [CIV] Pilot Boat. Hey Dargaard01, the Rebel Ship has been updated, and as you can see it sinks now. I also added damage textures to it. With that said everyone the Rebel Ship update 1.0.3 has been uploaded to Admiral189 DCS World Mods I will create another rebel ship in the near future. I tried to add a damaged model I created for the Rebel Ship to the file it but it doesn't appear in the game. If someone is familiar with how to make the damaged AI Ship models appear in DCS like the damaged armored vehicles let me know. It was done in the past. Thanks
  22. Hey Rich, Thanks. The different countries are added to the bottom of the Pilot_Boat.Lua file. More countries can be added as you wish. I will check to make sure it's appearing in each country. Unfortunately, when I was a Harbor Pilot we didn't have the luxury of a Pilot boat. We used Tugboats to board the incoming vessels. Hey Dargaard01, let me look into it because the GT. Life is set similar to EDs Civil ships in DCS. Line 24 in the main Lua file which is not too high. I will test it now and let you know. Thanks for bringing it up.

I did not add an Encyclopedia Folder because there's not much information to add. Below you can see the Coxswains View. You need Combined Arms installed to use the Coxswains View. In the future, I will try to add Animated Characters. Enjoy Everyone.

  25. Hey everyone. The Pilot Boat is broken. Not sure what's going on with it so it has gone to the shipyard. However, I have created a newly updated Pilot Boat mod that I have been meaning to create and I guess this is the best time to do it. I created her the old-fashioned way with textures not in Substance Painter so if you all like you can create some liveries. This model is based on the Pilot Boats in California and Canada at least from what I can see. I'm finishing her up now for release tomorrow. Tuesday, September 24th. Stay Tuned.
