  1. Came back to dcs after a year. Multiplayer is so laggy compared to a year ago. Great shame as so many other improvements have been made. It always seems to be a neglected area for dev, but nothing like flying with other people.
  2. Hi, Since the last couple of updates my rudder is behaving strangely. If I press either X or Y until rudder reaches full left/right and release the key, the rudder then swings back, but instead of stopping at centre it keeps going til it reaches the opposite lock. If I press the keys a couple of times very quickly the rudder does return to centre. The issue only happens when I reach full left or right position. It only seems to be happening on props, like yak, Spitfire, Christen etc. I have tried clean and repair, return controls to default, checked kbd settings are normal, reset axis settings, tried auto rudder changes, auto trim changes, all to no avail. I use keyboard for rudder and TM HOTAS. Always worked fine before, but this makes taxi and take-off almost impossible. The behaviour is reflected exactly with the Axis panel RCtrl plus Enter is on. Any suggestions or is this a bug? Thanks.
  3. Hmmmm, if that is the way to go, might just go for an off the shelf pc. Any recommendations for a ready built rig for dcs? Less than £2000.
  4. Wow really nice clean build. I think a pair of speakers might be the next upgrade ;)
  5. My bad. Psu is a TX850V2, Corsair. 2011 I think. I don’t think psu’s Need replacing as much as people say. Transformers are pretty reliable and simple things. Also noticed that I should be using a higher res on my tv with gui scaling on. Can 1070 or 2060 cope with the full res on a 4K tv?
  6. My psu is a very early i7, must be 8 years old. It’s on a ASU’s p6t motherboard, so very old. I know it all needs replacing hence the only thing I’m not changing is the case and psu.
  7. Just an oc’d gtx970 which did surprisingly well until 2.5
  8. Thanks Fragbum, Awesome that you have a copilot handy. Not sure if flying with the other half is a fun idea or a recipe that would end up with me in the doghouse. I think i’ll Give it a miss. Thanks for the info, looks like my build should do the trick. Your main rig must be amazing. Do you ever see your ram usage go over 32gb with dcs multiplayer? Revox
  9. Hi, I am trying to settle on a build and want to be as sure as I can about it. I play multiplayer 90% of the time on a 55" tv at 1440 X 900. I don't plan on VR but do want a fast load speed and be able to play multiplayer (which my current rig no longer can handle). If I can get High default settings I would be happy with a 50-60 or more fps. Here is my shopping list (click pic below), my case and PSU (850W) will still be ok to reuse. Grateful for any feedback or ideas. If anyone knows how many SATA connections I'll have after the SSD on Nvme that would be great, I cannot figure it out. I only need two more SATA connections for an old HDD and my O/S SSD. Thanks.
  10. Hi, I am in the same position. I have not been on Dcs for months. Multiplayer is my preference, which is even more demanding on RAM. I have been doing some research and am thinking along these lines. i5 9600 Asus ZA370 motherboard 32 GB Ram (16 ok if not doing multiplayer) An SSD nvme 500gb for dcs (250gb is plenty) western digital probably. My case and psu I will reuse as they are more than up to spec. My real issue is the graphics card. The costs as a proportion of the rest of the kit is so crazy compared to a few years ago due to all the demand from bitcoin miners. Many dcs posts talk about 1080 or 2080 cards, but I think I will have to go with a 1060 or 1070. Maybe stretch to a 2060 but not sure about 1070 v 1070ti v 2060. I will only be using a 4K monitor. If you want vr I think you need the high end cards. Be interested to see what you go for.
