  1. That’s awesome thank you! Especially for the link I’m looking for a bit more clarification in regards knowing when the ecm jammer is on or not There doesn’t seem to be a “jammer on” notification in the centre of the wheel. So with out going to the rio seat how do I tell if it’s on, eg... Is it on when the text says “set jammer standby” or is it on when it reads “set jammer xmit”? As far as I can tell this is the only notification you get as to the ecm status in the drivers seat Also, what does each mode do, is sandby mode off but turns on when needed or is that xmit? Or does xmit mean it’s always jamming?
  2. So we had the A-Side and now we have the B-side... Any chance we can stash a few extra cassettes in our flight suits? “Hey Jester, That’s enough of Mr Loggins, put on appetite for destruction”
  3. Thank you!
  4. From an old radio jock/producer, I’m going to try not to over complicate this... Normalising takes the wave form and digitally amplifies it to a set dB normally -0 it does this while preserving the wave form (unlike compression) If you have ever been listening to music on your phone or Walkman ;) and one song is very quiet so you turn it up and the next song blows your head off because it’s so loud this is because those files weren’t normalised. Most normalisation is to -0 dB (generally anything above -0 dB is amplification anything below is Attenuation) most devices will be at -0 dB at there loudest and Attenuate the volume down. You should always normalise a file after working on it (or converting it). As you can imagine in a professional radio situation everything being all over the vu meters is not good. So the last step of literally every piece of production you do is to normalise to -0db TLDR: Essentially normalisation ensures consistency of volume across all files that have been normalised Hope that answered your question and didn’t leave you too confused. I tried to keep it as simple as possible
  5. Like it says, how do you fence in or out correctly? Does anyone have a procedure or checklist on how to do it? Turns out when you type f14 fence in on google you get a lot of information on fencing your house/garden
  6. Hi guys I’ve been looking for clarification on this, I’ve looked everywhere on the forums but all I could find was this... https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=237326&highlight=Ecm+xmit And this dose not answer my question. My question is, while using the jester menu how do i know what mode the ecm is in, how do I set it properly and how can I tell what mode it’s in (without jumping to the rio seat)
  7. I want to avoid having to ping them with stt. I don’t want them knowing that I’m looking at them with hostile intent, what you described above is how I’ve been getting the tcs lock
  8. Hi there guys. Like the title says is there a way to get Jester to lock the tcs onto one of the tws targets without locking onto one of them (stt) I want to get a look at them without having to stt lock them to do so. Also, While I’m here. How do you go from stt to tws?
  9. hi there, i run a small time server for a few friends and some others who join in, I've been asked by some of them to turn the delay down on tacview from 10 minutes to 2 minutes but I have no idea how to do it, I've followed the online guide on the tacview website but seeing as DCS World 2.5 Open Beta Dedicated Server has no GUI I can't get in to change the options where specified, does anybody know how to do it?
  10. bugger, do you think it may be added in the future?
  11. Awesome, thank you so very much :) you guys are just amazing, keep up your impeccable work :)
  12. hi there, is there a way to minimize the DCS world server screen? I've tried a few ways but no joy as yet
  13. interesting new development, well not really, I just actually noticed it... while playing around with this issue I noticed that when turning off the switch (switch out light off) the actual switch button on the ACM panel pops out, the light on the ACM panel doesn't change and the selected mode doesn't change but the actual switch button seems to pop out, as if it was being deselected or turned off, so the in-game ACM button registers I've turned off my real world button just not the in-game one
  14. Hi there I have a huuuuge request and I'm surely not the only one who needs this. on the ACM panel, most of the switches have an "ON ELSE OFF" option. I would love it if the following switches could have that option added... Gun Rate SW Cool MSL Prep Missile mode at the moment they only have a toggle mode and that's not working with my set up, I have to cycle/push the buttons a second time to change them back to the off/normal/low position. (they are latching illuminated switches, so when the switch is off there is no light and it's out, once I push the switch to the on position it locks there and the light goes on, push the switch again to turn it and the light off and return to the out/off position) the main reason I ask is that I've made myself an ACM panel, all switches work awesome except for the ones listed above and also surely I'm not the only one who would like these options for the ACM panel? other simpit gamers etc??? hopefully, this is the right location for this post??? move it if needs be
  15. *sigh* *facepalm* I’m still enjoying last years April fools day prank, where the game just randomly CTD’s and doesn’t tell you why, still makes me laugh every time
  16. I get the same thing, here's a video. I noticed that this does not happen when watching the track back after you've done the flight it fades in and out normally, it only happens when actually flying the cat https://youtu.be/aB9o3rOYfMU0
  17. Awesome, thanks bro!
  18. hi guys n gals, does anybody know how to get the 2 displays in the f14 to display on a second monitor? I had a dig around and couldn't find anything on it, is this just one of those things not implemented yet or will it never be available?
  19. Hey guys there is a weird glitch with the jester menu when watching the tracks of a flight you have done, it appears to happen when you go to the cockpit while the jester menu is up and leave before it closes. it happens on every track I watch. once the menu is up and stuck you can't get rid of it by any means, you can move the pointer around but you can't close the menu, I haven't managed to find a workaround yet below is a video of the issue
