VR Shaders mod for better VR experience
Southpaw replied to Kegetys's topic in Utility/Program Mods for DCS World
I just tried to your IC-compliant version and the P47 cockpit textures look normal. However, if I switch back to the original version of the mod the textures go wonky again. -
Switching the starter switch to Engage before energizing doesn't turn the prop as it shouldn't. However, if you just flick the switch to energize for a second then to engage, the prop turns indefinitely as long as the switch is held to engage. It never seems to run out of energy.

VR Shaders mod for better VR experience
Southpaw replied to Kegetys's topic in Utility/Program Mods for DCS World
I'm having some issues with the new version of the mod. Mostly with the P47, but I've also noticed some negatives with the F14. In the P47 everything looks normal until about 2 seconds after exiting the briefing screen. After about 2 seconds the textures change, basically when the intro text appears at the top right (see screenshots). If I back the mod out (OvGME), everything goes back to normal. The F14 issues are much more subtle. Basically the gauge face reflections are washed and I can't read the HUD against the sky. I have the mask size set 0.600 for my HP Reverb. I'm running standalone. DCS OB, FPSVR, steam, graphics drivers, & mixed reality portal updated. Windows 10 version 1909. I have tried the following (removed the mod and performed Repair after each attempt) --Deleting shaders in the saved games FXO & metashaders2 folders --Deleting shaders in the saved games FXO & metashaders2 folders along with terrain shaders --Not deleting shaders --Changing ENABLE_DIFFUSE_SS to 0 -
When I use this mission everything functions properly with pickle and jettison! Come to think of it, the range mission I have been using is over a year old so it must not be compatible with the newest OB release. Thank you!

I am out of town until Friday. I will give it a try as soon as I'm able.

Interesting. I was linked to both log files after the CTD where it asked me to log a crash report. No other programs are running. I am running a mild OC, but it has been stable for a few years until the Walleye addition.
-
Thanks. I made sure all mods were disabled, cleaned per the instructions, and ran the repair. Still getting CTD when pickling. No mods were enabled. Log file attached. dcs.log-20191026-004200.zip

Please excuse my ignorance. I only knew of the repair option, which I have run. How does one perform a cleanup?
-
The log is attached to my original post. That was with no mods after a repair on the current version.
-
Now I get a CTD when trying to pickle any type of bomb, regardless if I have a Walleye on-board. Stennis cold start in SP.
-
Thanks, Phantom I can slew now. However, I am still getting a CTD whenever I try to pickle or emergency jettison the walleye.
-
Firstly, I cannot make the walleye camera slew. I have the MFD set as SOI and the camera uncaged. Slew is working on the radar and SA screens. Next, I get an immediate CTD as soon as I push the pickle. I also get a CTD if I try to emergency jettison with walleyes on board. Crash log attached. I have installed the hotfix, disabled all mods, & performed repair already. dcs.log-20191022-022616.zip

Overall I like the immersion of the tape player and the capability to map controls in the sim. My multimedia buttons are not very convenient, personally. Overall I just really like the HB walkman implementation.
-
Any mod makers interested/able to make a mod to have a walkman in the hornet like the Heatblur modules?
-
Anyway to add an in-cockpit music player like the heatblur units?
-
This worked and it functions great! The attention to small detail continues to blow me away...even down to the proper function of a cassette tape B-side. I love the Walkman feature! I wish it were on all DCS aircraft.
-
When I flip the tape to B-side I immediately CTD everytime. I wasn't sure how to label the files for B-Side so I went with "Song11"-"Song20". Was that correct?

What are the methods available to a live RIO to update and/or re-align the INS? Are there ways to perform this while airborne? After RTB, what is the best way to re-align on the ground?
-
As RIO, when the pilot over-Gs, I get the "NAV COMP" & "IMU" caution lights. Thus far we have always hopped into a fresh bird after RTB just in case. Will a re-alignment and/or repair address this?
-
Right now the best way to practice is in MP. Don't be afraid to rip the bandaid off and hop in MP. We all start somewhere. After taking the tutorials a few times, I started hopping in random pilots RIO seats in the Hoggit Training Server. Be sure and F2 around to the F14s to see if they're flying CAP or A/G so you will know what to expect. After a few reps I started hopping in random RIO seats in the GAW PVE server to get more CAP & A/G action and now I'm using the PVP servers for an added challenge. I get better each session, especially in A/A scenarios. You can practice LANTIRN bombing from the front seat using the mod in the user files. I fly as RIO pretty most of the time now. I get declined about 60% of the time, but I usually end up finding someone to accept my request.

I thought hard about the Slaws, but I couldn't stomach wiring that amount of money direct to an off-shore back account and possibly not see my product for 6 months or more depending on when they decide to go on vacation, sickness, etc. I know there is no history of issues, but one illness or family issue could change that in such a small operation. Call me impatient, but having my pedals delivered the day after I ordered them was magical. I noticed this when I first tried them out of the box. I barely, if ever, notice now when in the game. The sliding action of the MFGs or Saiteks have never felt natural since I'm a private pilot IRL. I immediately felt right at home with the TPRs.

I will have to try it again. Whenever I hook on the TID, I don't recall it singling the target out on the DDD. When I IFF in TWS it interrogates all targets on the DDD. I will try it again the next time I'm in the RIO pit.

I need some advice on designating bogies and having the AWG-9 retain my designation. Say I have four bogies on the TID/DDD all similar distance, closure, and aziumuth. The only way I know to be sure a single bogey is hostile is to lock them on the DDD (taking me out of TWS), IFF, and then mark them hostile or friendly. However, when I go back to TWS it still shows up as a bogey. Is this a bug or should I figure out a different way to do this?
