OK so if I understand well, I have a useless an/alq-131 that I shouldn't turn on and there are no HOJ sams? (not bitching, just asking :))

Seems like I had some reasons to worry then! Can someone tell us how this is modelled for DCS SAM systems?

Hello everybody, Sorry if this subject has been previously answered but I was wondering what are the risks to use the jammer pod all the time. I guess it's possible for a more or less recent SAM system to home on the active jamming device. My questions are: -IF ANY, wich SAM systems can do that? -will turning jammer off for some time (how much?) make the missile loose it's target for a moment or will it simply immediatly switch to another tracking mode? Hi! I just posted a similar post on french part of the forum (I'm Belgian) and I'm in the same situation, got convinced by a friend but he went MIA over Real Life territory. Being less of a busy bee I want to get in contact with people who are playing coop missions and willing to share a bit of knowledge while having good fun. I have only like 15hours flying on DCS but I'm learning well. I speak French, English, bit of Spanish (mexican) and Dutch.

Salut! J'ai fait l acquisition il n'y a pas très longtemps de DCS A-10C et je cherche des gens pour évoluer tout en rigolant. Je n'ai pas envie de rentrer dans une escadrille virtuelle mais plutôt avoir quelques contacts (msn par exemple) de gens qui jouent souvent.. et qui aiment la bière, très important.:balloon:

Thanks for your replies folks, the bands idea is a good one. Will try it out. Indeed saitek internals are quite shitty. First my joy RZ failed (rudder axis) doing what I described, not on 1 milimeter but the whole sensor went completely nuts. After some resarch it seems that many ppl had that issue and that the mechanism for joy RZ is particulary badly done so it breaks after some time. And so what you do ? You buy saitek's pedals...:doh:

Hi, thanks for fast answer. Actually, setting dead zone will only "remove" a part of the curve wich doesnt solves the problem, it occurs at any point of the curve. (Tell me if I'm not loud and clear here.) I've already worked the curvature for pitch, yaw and roll to have better response yes. But the problem is mainly for my own view zoom (its the most disturbing), I have no track-IR.

Hi there, I have a problem of stuttering with almost all my rotary wheels, slider, and even axis. Example: I've set my zoom (your own view zoom) to the rotary on your right tumb and it keeps stuttering (going back and forth at high intensity) and it's really annoying. I tried with slider too and it's worse. It shows in the control panel too. When untouched, the cursor moves slightly back and forth on a milimeter, and so with almost every axis. I know it's probably because my saitek is getting old and dusty but is there any work around ? Or should I try opening the joystick and vacuum clean it ? Thanks for your help folks.

Nvm, I dowloaded it from ED, installed it in dcs world folder and it works. Time for fun now !!!!:joystick:

Hi folks, I bought dcs a-10 via origin and it shows in my games on origin. But, when I click on play it opens dcs world WITHOUT A-10c module, only basic su-25. I think dcs world auto-updated just after install. Any ideas?

Merci mais je me demandais si il n'y avait pas une manip a faire pour le pas du rotor en cas d'attero en autorotation (avec page up et page down si mes souvenirs sont bons) Je sais qu il existe un mode auto pour celui-ci quand tout vas bien et qu'on ne doit pas s'en occuper mais en cas de pepin j aimerais pouvoir rapidement mettre le petit pas sans devoir aller chipoter aux 2 leviers jaunes derriere en bas à gauche du cockpit, ca met trop de temps dans une phase critique ou tout doit etre fait rapidement et je n'ai pas de track Ir.

Salut! Apres avoir lu le manuel, il me reste quelques questions. Je n'ai pas bien compris les étapes à suivre pour assurer que le rotor garde un RPM suffisant lors d'une autorotation. De ce que j ai compris (je suis p-e à coté de la plaque), il faut diminuer l'angle des pales (le pas) pour maintenir la vitesse de rotation du rotor. Pouriez vous m'expliquer comment vous faites pour gerer le pas sereinement, si possible en me disant sur quel bouton/molette vous avez assigné cette fonction (pour les utilisateurs du X-52) ou sur le clavier dans le cas échéant. Merci d'avance.

Hi peops, I have the french version of DCS and I installed the english patch 1.0.1 today as I found no french patch. Since then, most of my joystick (x-52) controls are not working anymore but most annoying of all, my ESCAPE keyboard button does not work anymore ingame.. So I can't quit a game properly, only ctrl+alt+del. I have a clean game exept for a little tweak in a .lua to have shkval and abris on 2nd monitor. Any ideas?:helpsmilie:

After a quick search on network I did not find DCS french in download version but I really suggest you to buy the dvd in a store if you want the french version, personally I hate to pay for something I can't grab in my hands :) But if english version is working on your puter (without french patch of course) I would definitly play with it some time to see if I enjoy the game and if I want to buy it a second time. French note: Si tu comprends pas ce que je raconte, dis le moi et jte choppe en apparté ou sur le forum francophone. Courage :)

Maybe I'm wrong.. but I think you need the french version of the game to apply the french patch, wich is a fix because french version has been released in english for some reason. Try to reinstall and launch without the french fix. French translation: Je pense que le patch de traduction en francais de DCS ne marche que pour la version francaise de dcs, en effet du a une erreur de l'éditeur, la version francaise est en anglais et le patch est un correctif pour avoir la version fr en francais. Essayes de reinstaller et de lancer le jeu sans patch fr. Amicalement, NeF.
