With 15-20% total cpu usage in DCS and some other titles too I ask the devs but not Intel to make use of whats already there, sorry !
A long time ago I wished EDGE/DCS World 2 would properly make use of multi core cpu's. Alas, it didn't come to pass, so I wouldn't count on ED changing this anytime soon.

So wie ich Trigger verstehe, hat er einfach die SSD zusätzlich zu den vorhandenen Platten eingebaut. Windows Startlaufwerk bleibt unverändert und daher entfällt das save-game Ordner kopieren.

I think! they just copy the Mods/terrains/CaucasusBase folder from 1.5.3 to 2.0.1.

I would highly recommend a SSD for DCS.

It doesn't make much sense to create a campaign in an obsolete version of DCS. Do you plan to keep it for yourself, then by all means go ahead. If you want to share it, update to 1.5 first.

JTAC is on 144 VHF AM, AWACS on 150 VHF AM. Can't monitor AWACS while talking to JTAC - in the middle of a frigging furball. Request JTAC be moved to VHF FM (or some other type of radio separation).That could be, because the radio calls are played sequentially and AWACS would clog up the radio queue even more, so communication with JTAC would be even more delayed as it is already.

ATC in Nellis isn't working for me, too. Never get a takeoff clearance, for instance.

I was able to contact JTAC in mission3. Checked in with him on wp7 with -4 min dtot. With all the radio comms going on, it takes a (long) while for him to respond.

Yeah I'm not getting the ability to contact my JTAC at all :( Frequency to 30 but not seeing any option to contact the guys down there.
Flown to all points marked (Scan for target, ingress, target, egress) but nothing pops to allow me to establish contact. That means no wedding cake, so no attack from above the clouds :(
Checked the OP and that method was not succesful I fear.
Did you get Overlords order to take out the SA-9? JTAC is only available after you destroyed it.

As soon as an ED or LN product has training missions available I will consider to buy an early access version. For all other developers, I'll wait for the release version, before I decide to buy or not.

When I tried the high alt bombing to destroy the bunkers, I had the problem that my JDAMs nearly always smacked into one of the mountain sides surrounding the little valley.
I then just stayed below the clouds after killing the SA-9, smacked one Mav into the middle of the infantry at the village, ordered my wingmen to take out the AA and destroyed the bunkers with Mavs. Called in the friendly ground troops and mopped up with gun and rockets in an s-n approach, as long as the friendlies were on route.

ich habe die deutsche Version von DCS 1.5.2 mit FC3 und wollte die Autopilot Funktion "ATT Hold" belegen, allerdings finde ich sie unter der Rubrik "Autopilot" nicht. Ist sie anderswo versteckt oder muss ich es manuell in die .lua einbinden?

As this plane lacks a proper playfield I would only recomend it, if you enjoy just flying around and/or you don't mind the out-of-place-and-time feeling of the missions in modern surroundings.

It would be helpfull to give a location/timezone for the squad. As the website creator has German advertising, I surmise you're in CET?

Yeah, terrible that they arent gonna bother updating the current free Caucuses map to be part of 2.0 isnt it
Oh wait a minute.........
All the training missions, stock campaigns and a few payware campaigns are on this map. Even if Caucasus will not be integrated into 2.0 this year, they surely will at least make the FLIR working like it did in 1.2. :)

I too would have problems "seeing" on a 24" screen. Don't know how folks do it.
I use snapviews to make mfcd's fullscreen. Should work quite well even on 24".

A reworked ATC was (still is?) on the feature list of DCS World 2.0, so there is hope.

Have you manually edited the terrain files and adjusted the noise as stated in the instructions?

My answer:
Remember that waypoint on the FP is at altitude of 10 or 15 000 feet, so it won't be directly over Echo 2 - it is in 3-dimensional space. The coordinates are for ground level and are spot on. I think that is where the difference comes from and is intentional.
Could you check if this is correct? My flightplan waypoint was on the slope of a mountain, not in the air. On the screenshots you can see the LL coords on the TGP - they differ.
For me it was necessary to refly the mission because I was unable to find Echo2.
Still, the campaign is very, very enjoyable. :thumbup:

Read my post about hammerfall 2 and it is actually meant for this mission.
Echo2 waypoint is off of the actual coords of the checkpoint. The coords given in the mission briefing are spot on though. Is this a design decision or an oversight?

Is there a trick for the SU-25s to hit anything? In my two replays of this mission, the Su-25s bombs always fall short. Me and my wingie have to mop up.
One more thing - the first time around I completely missed Pontiacs first target coords. Maybe it would be possible to add something like a ' can you repeat' radio message for those?

I too have Barthek's mod installed and it works beautifully. Without it the campaign is no fun at all, imho of course.
