  1. Sorry, forgot to check back, it fixed the problem. Thank you again, have a nice day!
  2. Yes, indeed I changed the page file not long ago from my C:/ SSD to my D:/ HDD and reduced its size (my coworker recommended it, he was researching stuff about SSD longevity as he was buying one). Since DCS utilizes the pagefile it would be better to have it on an SSD, right? And since the sim seems to run out of VRAM, it can also be stored in the pagefile? I was under the impression that only RAM for all these years. :D Anyway, thank you very much for your reply, I will test it after work and check back here. Have a nice day :)
  3. Hello. I wanted to fly around a little bit in DCS after some time but it didn't load. I got stuck at the "waiting for pooled tasks - 2" part, manually closing the process after some time. Backed up and renamed my DCS user folder. Managed to get into the sim with the Hornet and Tomcat on free flight Caucasus instant action, but choosing another plane and loading again leads to a runtime error (Log runtime). Cannot load in with the F-16 at all... GPU memory goes up according to RTSS and before 8GB it crashes to desktop (Log F-16). Very strange. I did some rewiring, added some fans, updated BIOS, etc. but no other programs/games show any issues so the PC should be okay... Any tips? 4. I knew I should have made another track with a nice landing :joystick::megalol:
  5. Here is a trackfile from me, along with the options.lua in a zipped file... https://drive.google.com/open?id=1DO1tyYInJh5wCSqIz3eLNxy6z9_UP5Ds Basically hot start, taxi to runway, a half circle around the airfield, landing, turning around and take off. Excuse my incredibly bad landing :D Not sure how exactly trackfiles work (you get the same head a plane movements, but I guess FPS depends on the viewer's PC), but on my system the FPS is locked at 65 FPS which the game keeps until slowing down below 100 kts after landing. Looking at the base further reduces the FPS to the 40s region, dipping into high 30s. At the beginning, looking at the base has no effect on my FPS, it's rock solid at the "maximal" 65 FPS.
  6. Yeah, I found that thread today and posted there as well. If anything it got bumped at least.
  7. I was there as well! I was very happy to see two F-16 dynamic displays :) I hope they bring the F/A-18 back though, last year their demo was phenomenal.
  8. I also noticed this problem, with the F/A-18C only. Yesterday I did some testing. My basic PC specifications are: Ryzen 5 2600, GTX 1060 6GB, 16GB RAM @ 1080p. In ME, the only unit on the map is my aircraft... I load at Creech AFB in the Hornet. ~80FPS is average. I take off, ~90FPS in average. I land, everything OK, but FPS is decreasing as I am losing speed. As I look at the most populated area while stationary the FPS goes as low as 35FPS, ~40-50FPS when looking forward at almost empty landscape. After taking off the framerate gets better, but if I look at the airfield, it drops back to 35FPS. I load the Tomcat. FPS is around ~10 lower compared to the Hornet, so ~70 while on ground. After I land the FPS is consistent with the starting FPS, ~65FPS when looking at the most populated areas. Then I loaded the Hornet airborne, just before the runway on final. FPS goes down again, from ~80-90FPS to ~40FPS after landing. I load the Warthog in the same configuration, FPS is above 100 in the air and around 80-90FPS after landing when looking at the most populated areas. The same thing happens at most airfields as far as I can tell. Before taking off and taxiing the performance is good, after landing the performance is bad. So I wouldn't say it's a shadow issue. Strange, strange...
  9. Significant performance drop after landing - but only with the Hornet Hello. I have this strange problem that I will describe momentarily... My basic PC specifications are: Ryzen 5 2600, GTX 1060 6GB, 16GB RAM. Basically landing the Hornet at an airbase causes a significant performance drop (compared to airfield or air start). In my case the FPS from stable 60+ goes to the 30-40s. If I take off afterwards (from the airfield I just landed at causing my FPS to drop), the FPS is still affected in the air, especially when looking at the airfield I landed at previously. This might sound complicated, so I present you my testing without FPS limiting... Might be interesting if somebody could reproduce it. In ME, the only unit is my aircraft... The same thing happens at most airfields as far as I can tell.
