80098, man. Also, I did this. http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=92975&page=2 The first time that I hit fly with my TrackER ON, worked perfect but in another mission, the same problem happened again. Well, I´ll keep my test at full throttle here.
-
Well, I think that I managed to solve my problem. Decreasing the valors of Preload at settings menu I´ve got 60 FPS after some reflys with no shutters, but, when I turn it on my TrackIR 5 I start to get the same damn shutters again. I´ve already tried these tips but with no success. http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=68060 DCS World looks like a minefield, when you disarm a mine and step forward, you thinks that you can carry on, but... BOOM
-
To be honest? I really don't know, man.:noexpression: Can I set some kind of Process Affinity for DCS World? I mean, leave one core just for it?
-
I´m using the Nvidia CP settings. DCS or Nvidia it dosen´t matter, I´ve already tryed to use the settings of the game but the same problem happens too. About my CPU / GPU temps, 50 / 45 respectively, at full load. I think that those temps are good, don´t you thinks too? Thanks
-
Well, those SS are enough, guys? i5 2500k @ 4.5ghz 8GB Vengeance 1600Mhz 500 GB Western Digital Blue only for OS. 500 GB Western Digital Blue dedicated only for games. DCS World, FC2 and a lot of other games inside. MSI GTX 660 Ti Power Edition OC. OCZ Modxstream 700w Dell S2230MX monitor The funny thing is, the first time that I launch DCS Word (Air to Ground Instant Action) my FPS was 60, after a refly, it dropped to 25/30:doh:) Thanks one more time.
-
So do I, TZeer. I´ve tryed every tweak that I found here but nothing seems to work or perhaps minimize the problem a little. I´ll check CPU, GPU and Vram loads when the problem starts to happen. Can you advise me a program that I can verify those things? I can do this with AIDA64? Thanks for the advice.
-
Well, I don´t know if I can give to you support for another game, but... If you have a Nvidia GPU, try to set the FXAA at Nvidia Control Pannel and leave the AA and AF settings into ARMA II at Normal. The game runs beatiful and more smooth. You have to play a little with the settings at Nvidia Control Pannel. Also, try to set the Vsync as Adaptive. Good luck and thanks for the posts too, guys. Let´s shake ED a little bit more.

I play ARMAII OA will all the DLC´s + ACEII, 60 FPS in wilderness areas and 40/50 in city areas, everything in High settings, this FPS are very fine for ARMA II. But DCS World is point, sometimes I got 60 FPS, after a refly the FPS drop with no reason, it´s a issue that onlys happen with DCS World, my other games are fine. Well, as I said, I´ve gave up, maybe in another patch I´ll be able to play this game. Thanks for you reply, doveman.

Well, guys, I´ve tryed every single tips that you gave to me, nothing worked. DCS World have a lot of issues and some people here prefers to suck ED Balls saying that my system is the problem. Sometimes I got 60 FPS and some times, in the same mission, after a refly or even after a reboot the FPS drops to 25-30, and I gonna to say again, ONLY WITH DCS WORLD. Flaming Cliffs 2 with a lot of mods runs beautiful at high settings with locked 60 FPS´s. I´m giving up about DCS World and unfortunately my hope to play Flaming Cliffs 3 is gone, unless ED starts to pay more attention to your customers. Thanks one more time for the help, guys. I´ll stick with Flaming Cliffs 2.
-
Thanks you guys. I´ll test both options. I'll try first the TZeer´s tip, sounds more promissing.

Guys, don´t loose your temper because of DCS World. DCS World is the problem. Today I made a fresh installation, I made the tweaks that Devastator gave in this topic once again, and at the first moment, the game worked perfect with 60 FPS (Ground Attack mission with Su25T). http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=94178 At the Dogfight mission, the FPS drops to 25/30:mad: Before anyone starts to telling something about my rig, this is my configuration at the moment. i5 2500k @ 4.3ghz 8GB Vengeance 1600Mhz 500 GB Western Digital Blue only for OS. 500 GB Western Digital Blue dedicated only for games. DCS World, FC2 and a lot of other games inside. MSI GTX 660 Ti Power Edition OC. OCZ Modxstream 700w Dell S2230MX monitor More than enough to play this game, huh? So guys, no matter what we do and no matter how many SSD you have in your computer, it´s not our configuration, it´s something in DCS World. That´s sad, I´ll not be able to play Flaming Cliffs 3. I refuse to invest a penny in this problematic engine.
-
Well, so, what is my problem? My system spec are. i5 2500k @ 4.3ghz 8GB Vengeance 1600Mhz 500 GB Western Digital Blue only for OS. 500 GB Western Digital Blue dedicated only for games. MSI GTX 660 Ti Power Edition OC. OCZ Modxstream 700w Dell S2230MX monitor Why ONLY DCS World gives problems with FPS drops after 3 or 4 missions? CPU and VGA too hot? No, sir, 60C and 55 on full load, respectively. (spring here in Brazil). My last shot is a fresh DCS instalation, if this won´t work, I´ll give up. I will stay with my dear FC2 and IL-2 46.
-
Well, as I said in another thread, I'll make a fresh installation of DCS World. Let's see if I'll going to have success now.:music_whistling: Thanks for the help Echo.

optimised settings for high end gpu's TESTED ON 680
GriffonBR replied to D3vastator's topic in Game Performance
Ooops, sorry Wolf, I didn´t pay attention when you said HOW MANY TIMES, I just executed the benchmark once yesterday, it was late and I was very tired so I´ve just made one pass. About a RAID 0 or a SSD, sincerely, guys... I´m not going to spend money just for one game, I bought my MSI GTX 660 Ti for a smoothly game experience for all my games, not just for the problematic DCS World. My last try is, uninstall DCS World, let´s see if a new instalation everything will works. I do really want to play DCS Mustang and Flaming Cliffs 3, I really want to support them, but I not gonna to put even a coin if I can't play DCS World properly. Thanks one more time guys. -

GriffonBR replied to D3vastator's topic in Game Performance
Yes, Wolf, all the 26 sections. Always with a solid 60 FPS. I set the AA and the AF for the same levels that I use at DCS World, 4x. The benchmark was executed without problems. Thanks for the help one more time. -

Man, I was very pleased flying arround with my Su25T after Devastator´s tweak, I´m not using 16xQ AA neither 16xQ AF, It´s 4x for both, I do know that I can´t rape my GTX 660 Ti with all these settings, but I do know that theres some kind of issue with DCS World that after a couple of missions, the FPS starts to drop after a refly or in the next mission. If you look here in the forum you will see people with the same words. I´am not doing any mistake and my hardware are not defective. -

Guys, it's just DCS World that gives me such headache. So what is the deal? Put more memory in my system? I can inject more 8GB today. -

Haaa, please... I have this problem only with DCS World, and I have a bad card? I also play Flaming Cliffs 2 (High settings), IL-2 with heavy visual mods, even ARMA II with ACE2 (High settings too). And do you have guts to say that my new VGA is defective? Come on! It's too easy to anyone say that kind of thing "Your VGA have a problem, bla, bla, bla..." And I have a MSI GTX 660 Ti PE OC. That´s the situation, I was playing the same mission over and over again (landing practice and testing my HOTAS controls), and after 5 times in the same mission, the FPS suddenly dropped. I do this in other games with no problems. Also, I've found her a lot of other guys with the same symptoms. No one got a single return from ED. My VGA? Definitely not, sir. -

Well, well, well, I got another little issue here guys... After some happy flights with the Su25T, and some Reflys, the FPS suddenly dropped again:cry: I've checked my Temps and they are fine, 55C at full load, and the VGA at 53Ce. That´s what the people calls Memory Leak? 8Gb are not enough for playing DCS World?:noexpression: -

D3vastator, my brother, you deserve a kiss HAhAhaHAhaHA. Just joking, don´t take it serious. ONLY NOW, AFTER YOUR BRILLIANT TWEAK I´am able to play DCS World with 60 FPS locked:joystick::joystick::joystick: I just had to be careful with the AA and the AF (4x both), but my DCS World is running beautiful and smooth. 60 FPS man, I don't believe. Also, I changed the option of the Vsync to ON, instead of Adaptive so now I´m able to play with 60 FPS. Your tweak is so simple, I've had tried everything here in ED Forums. Thanks a lot mate. And here we go to Flamming Cliffs 3 and DCS Mustang. HuuHuuul:joystick: EDIT: We can put the GTX 660 Ti on the list. -

Man, I think that this is my last hope. I´m looking forward to play FC3, I´m also got a new MSI GTX 660 Ti OC Edition and I started to play DCS World. I´m not happy with my FPS either. FC2 runs like a charm, always with 60 FPS (except on take off), but DCS World, only 25 FPS, max of 30(only on dogfight at Instant Action). Well, I hope that your tips do the job. I´ve already try everthing here.:hmm: My system specs are: i5 2500k @ 4.3ghz 8GB Vengeance 1600Mhz 500 GB Western Digital Blue only for OS. 500 GB Western Digital Blue dedicated only for games. MSI GTX 660 Ti Power Edition OC. OCZ Modxstream 700w Dell S2230MX monitor S! GriffonBR -
Thanks Peter, I´ll do this when my VGA arrive.

I recently bought the new MSI GTX 660 TI PE just for the release of FC3, anyone here knows if will be possible to play FC3 (or better saying, DCS World since FC3 was not released yet) in high settings with my new VGA + Core i5 2500k @4.3ghz + 8GB DDR 3. I´m realy looking forward for this "new" DCS game.:joystick: Thank you guys!
