  1. Very possible, it is just strange that the gameplay freeze could be triggered amongst multiple players by doing the same command. My wingman and I had no connectivity issues before entering A-A mode on the ground. I went into A-A doing a preflight check and the game froze, giving 1 frame roughly every minute. Once I was able to click out of A-A (which took forever) the issue was effectively resolved. I asked my wingman to do the same by clicking the A-A on the ICP and the result was the exact same, the game froze. I have had tons of CTDs due to lags, but never one that I could tie so directly to a single source, so I made this thread.
  2. Attached is my wingman's dcs log from last night that captures the issue. I do not have a track replay of the event. dcs.log
  3. This issue was experienced in MT in the latest Open Beta build. Cold started the F-16 in the Gray Flag PG server. I switched the aircraft to A-A on the ICP while on the ground and the game completely froze. I asked my wingman to do the same (same circumstances), and the game froze for him as well. Steps to replicate the problem: 1. Start jet from cold in a multiplayer server with multi-threading 2. Enter A-A from the ICP (on ground FCR/datalink -on) The problem was able to replicate 70% of the time in MT with 3 different users making multiple attempts. The problem did not exist when tested in Single Thread gameplay.
  4. Thank ya! I will look into it
  5. Just like the real one! Even if it just AI, you could have some fun escort missions in Eagles, Hornets, M2Ks, Vipers, you name it. Even an AI bird would be fun to intercept as RED force. Worth some thought.
  6. I used to fly in P3D V2-V4, but man that is that platform a money pit. If you want it to look good you'll spend hundreds of dollars, then Lockheed will just create V6 so you will have to start again to stay with developers. It has been about a year since I last flew on P3D, but I used to dream about getting 30 fps ha! Terrible program from my experiences. It is such a long shot, tons of other aircraft that should be made before spy planes.
  7. I hope this finds you all in good health, Before I say anything, I know that what I am about so say will most likely never happen for a thousand reasons, but let a guy dream for a minute. Imagine for just a second if we had a full fidelity U-2 in DCS. Just imagine the pure flying joy of getting in such an aircraft. Imagine being able to say you mastered the world's hardest virtual aircraft. Imagine the various mission profiles you could fly across the great, strategic maps we have in DCS. I think it is at least worth a little discussion; even though, it will never happen. I understand that the aircraft is far too secretive to ever be produced by a developer, and that it would be considered a "boring" weapon system by some who typically lob Fox 3s into fur balls, but for those of us who think critically I think it would be an awesome strategic asset for users in a multiplayer environment. Imagine the GCI/AWACS being able to direct CAPs and Strikers into precise areas even when fog of war is on due to the Dragon Lady's roughly simulate sensors. From a pilot's perspective it would be magnificent. Especially during the "launch" and landing phases of operations. Much like Jester in the Tomcat, I imagine a virtual safety pilot right behind you as you brought down the beast at Al Dhafra, an actual U-2 base. Then a feeling the aircraft fall to the left or right as an F-250 drives by to insert the pogos. If the Yak and Eagle II can make it in DCS I am sure a U-2 can too, if only there was a chance. I know this will not happen, but it is a fun thought.
