  1. That trailer is absolutely disgusting. It's an absolute work of art. I haven't been this excited about any sim since Longbow 2...
  2. Reverb was definitely better at distance spotting. But it was not "night and day" better than the Rift S. Still, the Reverb does better in that area. I also do civ sims (x-plane) and the Rift S does fantastic with it. So much so that I'll take the Rift S over Reverb alone with it. The performance is better with it. (I5-8600k rtx2070) It simply comes down with me to price. If I had never tried the S, than I would be waiting on the Reverb redo. Having the S now and seeing the difference between them, the 250 dollar premium is not worth it to me. I honestly did not see the S being as good as it is. It's comfortable, setup is a breeze, my glasses fit fine underneath it, and I use external speakers.
  3. My thoughts exactly. I had the Reverb and loved it. Returned it because of the issues (hated to do it because it's such a great headset). Couldn't go without VR so grabbed a Rift S off of Amazon last week. The res is not as good as the Reverb, but if you ask me, the res is not worth the 250 dollar premium. The S actually stunned me on how good it looks. Wearing glasses is not a problem, and the headset is actually quite comfortable (I have a meat head, lol). I won't be giving up the S when they get the Reverb sorted out. Instead, I'm keeping the S and will wait for the next gens.
  4. Count me in as a Rift S owner after the HP reverb... I was one of the lucky HP Reverb owners. It was a fantastic headset and soooo close to being perfect. Sadly, I was getting the shutdown and flashing issues with it. HP on their part were fantastic. Replacements are not being given, but refunds are. I couldn't do without VR so grabbed a Rift S last week off of Amazon. To be honest, I'm pretty blown away by it. The resolution is not Reverb level, but quite honestly, the reverb's 250 dollar premium is not worth it *for me*. Performance wise, the Rift S is better (I5 8700K, RTX 2070) which would make sense. In short, I'll stick with the Rift until the next gens come out. It's been a surprise.
