Hi Guys, I bought the download version of LOFC2 from the Lock On site, installed it and enjoy it. What with work and life at home I did'nt really get much flying time for a few months. Anyway, recentlyI thought I would spend some time catching up on my flying skills (or lack of) and launched LOFC2. First thing I noticed was that the buttons I had programmed to my Cougar would'nt function, although the axis were working fine, the keyboard keys failed to work either. After further investigation I found that most of the left hand side of the mission planner was missing, all that was there was the red button (go back) and nothing on the top ie file, edit, etc. The Cougar works as programmed on other sims including BlackShark but not LO2. I recently downloaded and ran CCleaner (a registry cleaner) so I assume that this must be the problem. Everything else works fine. BlackShark runs the same as the day I first installed it, Rise of Flight works great, interestingly, LOFC1 works fine also. I've downloaded the files again and uninstalled both LOFC2 and LOFC1 and LO, reinstalled with the newly downloaded files but the problem still remains. Not wanting to confuse matters further, I tried LOFC2 the other day and it seemed fine for a very short while and then reverted back to missing parts of the mission planner and the Cougar buttons or keyboard keys would'nt work. I'd be grateful for any help you guys can offer cos I need to blow something up or I'll go mad!

Is the joystick set up correctly in the game controls menu?

Hi Timm, Go to the Sounds file and open Sound.cfg with Notepad++ and find the entry for "Missile Launch", you should always edit these files with Notepad++, in which case the entry should be at line 95. You'll need to tinker with the volume setting (it should be set to 1.0). You could try 0.5? Or maybe using a different Silence setting? I've not tried it so I'm not sure what results you will get. Hope this helps.

I think it would be nice to add this "wobble" to the sim.

I've been fortunate enough to have travelled on many helicopters, having worked offshore for a lot of years. On several occasions I have been onboard as the helicopter was started up from cold. On each occasion, during initial rotor movement, the helicopter would slightly "wobble" for a short time at initial start up. I guess this would be due to the centre of gravity shifting until the rotors are at the optimum RPM? Due to its unique twin rotor system, is the same "wobble" a characteristic of the Ka-50?
