Just bought this book from Amazon. What a brilliant read!! It really gives you an insight into the life of real Hog pilots! Brave men indeed. WARTHOG: Flying the A10 In The Gulf War
-
Looks great - and would be a fine supplement to the Flight Manual. But boy, that sounds like one helluva lot of work!! You sure the take-up would be worth all that effort?

Errr... Norman Wisdom would have been proud of me :music_whistling:

Jeez!!! Yes, that was difficult; couldn't see a damned thing. What a tough landing too - burst my tyres, but walked away :-)

<Salute> BOUNTY!!!! How you doing, Cowboy 1-2? I didn't spot your reply until just now:music_whistling: I remember those days so fondly. We had a great bunch of guys didn't we (and a coupl of eejits). Remember Squirt? What happened to him? I've got a CD somewhere with screenshots grabbed from our many online missions. Nice to see you again mate! Tom.

Track Ir5 on Xmas List :-)

Yes, that's right. Boy, I used to love those old MasterPilots! I had 3 of them and they could be programmed to high heaven! Here's my OLD cockpit, complete with my Cougar Hotas. Those were the days! :)

It was only tidied for the photos - relax. LOL

Amazing pictures!!!!!! Thanks for posting.

Yes, I was the founder of the 185th Reservoir Dogs on 7th July 1999!!! It was an online squadron for Falcon4 Pilots and is still going to this very day! Unfortunately, I had to resign command due to changes to my work life which basically swallowed up all my liesure time. I'm very proud of the fact that it's still going strong 11 years later though!

That makes sense Wynn. My appetite has well and truly been whetted. Lol.

Okay, okay, enough already! LOL. Could be the perfect Xmas present ;-) I just put the PDF Manual on my Kindle to see if it works and yes, it does! Handy for reading it while away from home. Must be brilliant on the iPad!

I was happily practising Maverick strikes around an airport base, when some lousy git in an Su-17 shot me down. I managed to eject and watched my adversary as I floated to the ground. As I was landing my feet on the grass, he was landing his aircraft at the airport, so I walked over to him and created one of those "Cheat Explosions". It blew a piece of his fuselage off, which made me laugh, so I moved toward his wing where his missiles were and let off another explosion. BOOM!! The whole thing (including me) blew up! :megalol::megalol::megalol: Class, ED!

WOW!!! That's outrageous!! You need a small local printer. Should cost about £60 ($95).

Well, the TM Warthog's ordered, Dark Eagle. As for the rest, I'm pretty happy with it. :-) Not sure about Track IR though - seen it on YouTube videos and it looks like the pilots sit RIGID in their seats for fear of the sim-view waving all over the place. I'd like to try before I buy, but I don't know anyone who's got it.

Hi Phrenesis, Sure, I know it's the beta, but to me, it's not worth waiting months to get the final one. I'm flicking through the known typos listed in the Beta Forum and will print off the Errata when things are finalised. In the meantime though, I'm now able to sit down and study in comfort instead of staring at a computer screen. As for cost, don't ask!!! LOL. Just send the PDF to your local printers and get a quote. Mine is on 200g heavy silk paper. Full colour. Regards, Tom.

I pre-ordered the Download version and (like others) will also buy the sim off the shelf locally when it is finally released - just to support the community and try to secure a better future for flight sims.

The manual came back from the printer today - all 2.5kg of it!! So I went over to Staples and had it bound into 4 sections - it would have been ridiculous to try to handle a 650 page single book after all. The printing quality is absolutely superb!! So pleased with it. My photos (attached) aren't so good because it's indoors at night, with incandescent lights. Tom.

Wife walked into my "hangar" last night and said "Where've they come from"?? She was referring to the BRIGHT GREEN Cougar MFD's that were sitting below my monitor. Gulp! "I've had them for years" I replied, "But I never got around to installing them since we moved house". She gave me that look as if to say "You lying b'stard". I protested strongly and kinda won her over. I'd drawn attention to my cockpit now though and she stood for a while, soaking up all the equipment as if playing a memory game. If the X52PRO morphs into a TM Warthog, I think I'll be in the shit. Ah well, I'll worry about it when it happens! Tom
