  1. I just purchased DCS:W (I never did the Beta testing), and to say 'WOW!' is an understatement :smilewink: This is a real nice sim, and I love the sounds and graphics. I just built my new system about 3 weeks ago in anticipation of this sim and with most graphic settings on high, I get real good frame-rate. I have spent most of the day getting my Logitech Extreme3D Pro joystick settings in place and have done a couple of the training missions. How are earth does anyone memorize the dozens of shortcut key commands for various parts of the systems? My mind is boggled. I tend to lose myself as I follow the 'instructor' when he is telling you to 'hit either HOTAS XYZ or Shift-RAlt-Up Arrow' then 'HOTAS ABC or LCntrl-Home' to set up a 'parameter' so you can continue the lesson. Once my mind catches up, the 'instructor' is already giving more 3-finger commands, which seems at a rapid pace, I lose what he is trying to say  Anyone got any good hints on this? I wish I had a TrackIR as I think that it would make it alot easier but talk about information overload. Anyway, back to the training missions :pilotfly: Rob
  2. I have to agree in part with Grimes about the tutorial. I have some games that have a tutorial with a voice-over, and it tells you to do something, highlights it and then waits for you to accomplish that task, then it moves to the next task. If that was done with BS, that would have been great with me. The current tutorials seem to be a tad fast, and I fall behind. I even printed off the manual, and had to look up the keyboard commands for some of the items they talk about and I wrote the keyboard command next to that task. That was very time-consuming, and I haven't gone through the whole manual to do that yet. If that was done in a step-by-step in a tutorial with a voice-over and highlighted the item/switch/task and waited for you to do that, then I would probably fair alot better than trying to fly the Ka-50, flip the manual to a particular page (for instance, Shkval Target Point Designation) for a task I need to accomplish at that point. I usually crash during this  I don't have a fast internet connection, so there is no way I can join up with other people to help out, except via forums. I do have to say, though, that this is a kick-tail sim. It is hard, but I'm sure I will get the hang of it and my current learning frustrations and flying 'abilities' will be laughable in due time :megalol:
  3. I got mine from GoGamer yesterday.
  4. I would like to get a copy of that file if you don't mind
  5. Mine should be here today when I get home from work. This is gonna be a LONG day. TICK......TOCK :music_whistling: GoGamer got it sent last night. Thanks GoGamer.com!!!
  6. I ordered mine from GoGamer about 9:44am Central Time with FedEx next day so I can have it tomorrow, but on their website, my order status still says 'Sourced'. I sure hope it gets shipped today.
  7. I noticed that, too. I just put in my order at GoGamer.com with next day delivery. HOPEFULLY I will get it tomorrow
  8. Looks like I may just order it from GoGamer.com with next day delivery  EBGames suck! If this was for a console system, I almost bet it would be on their shelves by now
  9. Funny how some places have them (like GoGamer and Newegg.com), yet big 'game' outlets like EBGames doesn't (nor does Wal-Mart). Guess if it isn't at my local EBGames tomorrow, I'll order it next day from Newegg so I can have it for fun fun all day Friday
  10. I hope so. What worries me is that CoH:Tales of Valor was also 'released' today, and it's updated with 'Now Shipping' on EBGames.com, yet DCS:BS status hasn't changed at all. It is tempting to get the new CoH, though
  11. Me, too, but right now, Bestbuy.com doesn't even list DCS:BS. I have a 3-day weekend coming up and was hoping to have this game loaded on my PC. And, no, downloading isn't an option for me
  12. Yeah, it use to be wall-to-wall PC games, but now they are relegated to a tiny rack  Come on EBGames, get your act together (you too, Wal-Mart).
  13. It hasn't shown up anywhere around here in Missouri yet, and EBgames.com still says 'pre-order'. Wonder if it will actually be on the shelves anywhere today??
  14. That would be awesome. I wish they would put them out on the shelves this weekend :music_whistling:
  15. My first post. I was searching the web earlier this week about any new military sims and happened upon the DCS: BS site. I gotta say, it does look sweet. They are saying the release here in the US is April 7, so I can't wait until it comes out (on DVD, not download). Anyway, looking at the various youtube videos and reading some forum threads about this 'sim' is making me drool. I have been playing BF2 and flying those heli's just to help pass the time by. Seconds seem like days!! Well, just wanted to say 'hi'
