  1. Hi mate, thanks for the response. I've just lifted off, looped around to waypoint eight and landed and indeed scored 65 points but, unfortunately my progress has not been saved again. I'll definitely find a suitable place to post this elsewhere on this ED forum in case there is a wider issue that somebody might be aware of. I'm running the latest version of DCS on Steam and waited to make my fourth attempt at mission two once the recent update had been released. I have never downloaded any official mods for fear of this sort of thing happening. I'll keep plugging away with the campaign though and have enjoyed what I've experienced so far.
  2. Yep I've successfully completed this mission four times now for it to not save. Frustrating!
  3. Really enjoyed the campaign. I had such a dramatic finale that I thought it was scripted but I watched someone else’s playthrough of mission 12 on YouTube and realised my drama was genuine.. I took a hit, lost half of my left wing and seemed to be leaking fuel so made a desperate run for home. I somehow made it back crossing the threshold of the runway with less than 20 lbs of fuel and totally ran out the moment the wheels touched down! can’t wait for the next one!!!
  4. I’d say it has its own fm. Simon from ED [after flying it] “it has so much grunt. The only thing you’re going to struggle with in close combat is an F16 or a very good Mirage pilot. Otherwise it’s going to rule the roost.”
  5. Looking great! I stayed at a kibbutz (snir) for three months in exactly that area back in 1988 and can’t wait to get flying over it in DCS!
  6. Thank you for your help guys. It seems that a combination of decoupling the turbo lever/throttle lever and the extra 10% or so of propeller RPM gained by nudging it forwards (it looks fully forward but isn't completely) did the trick. I have also begun to utilise the "RPM increase" switch just after take off and switch it to "auto" once at 2000 feet.
  7. Can anyone put me out of misery please? I'm sure I'm doing something stupidly wrong but my P47 seems to randomly run of of power quite often causing me to crash land. Is there anything that you know of that could be causing this......apart from me being a lame pilot? Thanks in advance.
  8. Looks absolutely incredible. It was my favourite plane as a young boy after watching it scream past at an airshow back in the 70s. Thank you for deciding on this project. Can we expect this within the next 12 months?
