  1. Here is a general idea I put in my head when I am landing:

When you are on final for landing, think of the aircraft as always falling towards the runway. Your throttle is what you want to use to slow or increase your rate of descent. I usually just try and keep my flight path indicator hovering on top of the runway numbers. Each aircraft lands differently but this is a good place to start when grasping the idea.

  2. Both tankers have the same capability and the only defining detail is whether they are available or not. Tankers are in very high demand if an aircraft/ element/ flight/ squadron

needs one, normally and AFAIK, they don't care which one they get. They both can do the same mission and the re-engined/modernized KC-135 are just as good as the KC-10.

Obviously they have different ranges and cargo limits and their own set of cons and pros for cargo, operational limitations, maintainability, etc, but in terms of in flight refueling, their really equal. You are more likely to see a KC-135 because they are more of them.

I think T-Tail pilots prefer the 135 over the KC-10. I know were talking about the A-10 though!

  3. Hey guys, I've been not playing for about a month and today when I went on to play multiplayer I saw only one locked server on line? Am I missing something? shouldn't there be more servers than this? thanks

Make sure youre not looking at the History tab when browsing the servers. Should be on Internet tab I believe.

  4. Finally got on the server, have to say its great.

However when I'm piloting a shark I feel like I don't have to worry about any aircraft trying to shoot me down.

    Hey BlackFallout,

Keep playing and you'll get shot down sooner or later ;)

Make sure you get on on TS!

  5. I'm highly interested in what is going on over there right now. I struggle to find people irl to discuss it, so I bring it to you guys! What are your guys thoughts on the torpedo incident? What's the future for that part of the world? Will this blow over? War?

  6. Oh I know they do. I am just thinking of the mission/national security issues that could come up. Specifically they are only allowed on boomers at the moment. I guess anything could happen though you know? Anyone could get sick/injured and might need to be removed from the boat to a hospital.

She gets an extra check-up by the doctor. What's the problem? Women get pregnant, that's just how it is.
  7. Played FC 2.0 online seriously for the first time on the 104th server today, I had such a blast! Tailpipe, Zapper, and the other guy I flew with, thank you so much for letting me join you guys! Never flew low-level through mountains with other humans like that before, so intense and fun!

  8. The only time anything appears on the Su-25 hud is a targeting reticle while dive bombing etc, it did unnerve me when I first started flying the su-25, its because I'm from the PlayStation generation, I don't like flying with steam gauges!

This made me lol. I felt the same way!

From U.S. 5th Fleet Public Affairs

MANAMA, Bahrain (NNS) -- Search and rescue efforts continue for a missing crew member of an aircraft that crashed in the North Arabian Sea March 31.

After radioing USS Dwight D. Eisenhower (CVN 69) of the intent to conduct a controlled bailout, an E-2C Hawkeye from the Carrier Airborne Early Warning Squadron (VAW) 121 impacted the water approximately five miles from the ship.

The E-2C was returning from conducting operations in support of Operation Enduring Freedom (OEF) when the aircraft experienced mechanical malfunctions.

Two of the four crew members were rescued by an H-60 Seahawk helicopter from the Helicopter Anti-Submarine Squadron 5, and an H-60 helicopter from Helicopter Combat Support Squadron 26 rescued the third crew member. All three are in good condition without significant injuries.

Search and rescue efforts for the fourth crew member continue. In addition to Eisenhower and her embarked aircraft, helicopters from guided missile destroyer USS Carney (DDG 64) and replenishment ship, USNS Supply (T-AOE 6), along with other air assets that include KC-10 and KC-135 tankers, P-3, U-2 and RC-135 aircraft are assisting in the search effort.

The identities of the crewmen involved are being withheld pending notification of next-of-kin.

    The incident is under investigation.

  10. I don't want to give you the wrong information on what to buy. But this is what I did: I dusted off my LOMAC CD and installed LOMAC on my Windows 7 system and bought the $30 Flaming cliffs 2(ENG), DL'ed, installed it and everything is working great.

Also its good to see another Bluesnews reader on here. I don't know if you post on Bluesnews at all, but all those posts in the Flaming Cliffs 2 news announcement were just ridiculous.
