  1. Most helicopter checklist call for a hover check. Even if you are going to conduct a rolling take off. It’s for power setting checks so before taxi /take off you conduct a stabilized hover.
  2. Take off from ground means you’re lifting from ground into vertical flight. From say a runway. take off from hover is taking off from hover.. once in hover ease aircraft forward to gain air speed and increase power to gain altitude and begin forward flight. not sure how this is confusing?
  3. This isn’t much of an issue or wasn’t the case in the last previous Iraq/Afghanistan wars. Most of the Bombing runs were CAS , and called in by JTACs on the ground. TGT pods were not as widely used as you may think. For one they were not always available. in short a majority of A/G strikes by F-16’s in the last 20 years have been Pre planned on TOO with JDAM’s and specific Grid coordinates from ground controllers. Regardless of weather. point being the TGT pod is used more in DCS , then typically it is in R/L.
  4. Press the down key default “s” key one time. The Ai will store the sight.

So I’ve been flying with the switch In the on position as it is suppose to give more precise control of the rudder for precision movement left and right, but I e found my rudder inputs are extremely sporadic and to twitchy. Even when I edit my rudder curve in axis tune. So I switch the dampener off and I find I have more precise control of yaw with the rudder. Take offs and landing are much smoother with it off as well as holding target for ATGMs. anyone else notice this?
