  1. Forr the cauuseee :D
  2. sure, get the classified information and ed will be able to model it... read the numerous other threads, for example DCS aircraft wishlist
  3. It's possible. Just watch those wings :music_whistling: There are even roads with 4 lanes in the sim, it's like they're made for landing on them. On the other hand, nothing more rewarding than landing on a short, narrow road after engine failure. But I think the lamppoles have no collision, that would have been interesting :D
  4. When in doubt, it's better than losing the war eh? It's very much understandable that everyone involved would prefer to operate from a healthy airfield, but the a-10 has the capability to take off from improvised runways, why not do it when CAS is desperately needed and no other option available (airfield destroyed/occupied etc). I have no idea what the RL procedure would be, but as Frostiken mentioned there already have been a-10a's exercising landings on german highways.

Make sure LOL is in the up position during flight!
  7. Contains content of SME... Not available in your country...
  8. Some examples taken from youtube: and one "pattern" intended for show (I guess). Good to see are the wings' vortices
  9. Looks like he already took some battledamage, as the left gear seems to be extended :smartass:
  10. This is a known issue. The CBU-105 functionality isn't simulated in a realistic manner (skeets etc) but is just a much more powerful CBU-103
  11. From my experience PAC-1 will only give good results when control inputs are kept to the absolute minimum. Just let it do the job and don't try to steer around to get hits on target. You should only engage pac-1 when your gun pipper is on target
  12. Just mount 2 cargo pods and put the ground crew into them for in-field repair ops :D Hey what are you doing!
  13. The sky is the limit :D
  14. Up high at angels 20+ i prefer SFWs at HOF 1800-2200, it's a good tradeoff between accuracy and effected area. For soft targets spread around this should also be a deadly setting with usual cbus, but for tanks you should definitely use goldfinger's settings
  15. create a new waypoint in flightplan and display it in cdu. there you can change the latitude and longitude. with addition of elevation of target, voila :smilewink:
  16. I'm no expert in this coordinate stuff but L/L=latitude(Nxxxxxxx)/longitude(Exxxxxxx) (forgive me mistakes pls) UTM and L/L are different ways to express coordinates. JTAC will give you coordinates in UTM and you won't need L/L then
  17. A-10 seems to be designed to survive a belly landing. The gear still sticks out enough when retracted to do its job. One tough hog :D
  18. With a lower t value you will experience loss of accuracy compared to t=4.0.0.8. I don't know whether or not the reduced accuracy is modeled
  19. where is the hyperspeed switch? haven't found it yet is it somewhere on the hotas
  20. you don't change the way of weapon employment by the master mode button (if I'm not mistaking this is what the button is called, where you can change modes from gun/ccrp/ccip) but instead by changing the mode in the corresponding DSMS menu belonging to the specific weapon, in your case gbu-12. The jdams can only be employed in ccrp, this is why it works without making a change in the firstplace
  21. I would suggest a mixture - all of the above. Learn basic procedures through training/youtube videos, complemented by reading the related pages in the manual. Fly the hog, have fun. Discover systems and get curious how they function. Read it up in the manual (sometimes it's just impossible to figure it out by yourself), do some more training. Don't learn it all at once, it's still just a simulation  After a while you will enjoy reading the manual, concentrated information and procedures you just want to suck into your mind so next time you start her up, everything will work smoothly. In the end, you have to find a method that fits you, not others. As long as the knowledge gets jammed into your brain :smartass:
  22. make sure the throttle of your hotas is at the down position, or the ingame throttles wont go into idle
  23. From my experience in aerial combat in the a10, the damage models certainly are a bit weak. You can literally pump them full of 30mm of pure GAUness, often they'll hapily limp away with minor damage. While I understand that survivability may be high if no important systems like the engines are hit, I also remember a german MiG-29 pilot talking about desintegrating those F-18s with 2 or 3 bullets of his maingun. I was referring to both hind and su25/mig29
  24. I guess it doesn't even matter where the munition exactly is, as long as there are no blowhatches (or hatches left open) the liftened turret should be the way of least resistance. Nothin better than cookin' a tank :D smells like popcorn...
