  1. There are not much big differences. Some updates and modules might come to steam later. But steam prices are lower than standalone version. (At least for my country)

You can activate your steam modules on standalone version too without re-buying

  2. DCS ground AI has no issue engaging fast moving helicopters or fighter jets without fail and with great accuracy, This is the real issue. Mi-8 or F-16 does not matter, it will make swiss cheese out of you at low level flight. IRL most of those vehicles would try to escape or hide if knowing they are approached by a gunship or jet.

Imagine sitting cramped up in a BTR, BMP or T-72. Then be able to spot a fast moving helicopter at low level. Even if you somehow manage to spot it in time the guns need to turned towards the target and lead properly.

Even if the Mi-8 can be tweaked further, the real issue is ground AI engaging fast moving targets

with great speed and accuracy. I do expect AAA, Shilkas, Igla teams etc. to be a real threat,

not personnel carriers, tanks and such vehicles

Correct. Every AI in the game is sharp shooter. very annoying. they never miss

  3. There is only a one camera in 2D display, so you get only one circle. And that is how it would look with a real binoculars, you see only one circle.

In VR you see as well just one circle, that fills the view.

If you looking throught a binocular, how come the covered area be that narrow? So how narrow it will be if we use monocular?

  4. I think it became better than i expected with last updates. For sure there are some bugs or missing feature but i like to use it. It become my most favorite aircraft along with tomcat and huey

My only complaints, rudder is too sensitive, veering to right during take off and landing and TGP and HUD are not synched.

After we get harm, maverick and harpoon; i am done.

  5. I am no expert and i am trying to understand the logic dcs world's nvg simulation.

    * First of all why we have a single circle? Don't nvg's have 2 sights?

    * If you look at this pic; there is a center circle for nv sight, and rest of the screen is visible but without nv feature. How come is this possible? This is supposed to be my eye sight because it is a first person pov, everytihng i see on the screen is literally my pov. If i wear a google, i see everytihng throught a google, not just center of my eye. It feels like i am wearing a nvg that provides a single dot night vision, and rest of the google has normal glass

If it is like a binocular, i should see like this:

  6. Hello,

Yesterday i played on a MP server. I deployed a AT squad to deal with a t-55 tank.

My squad run into tank one by one and they got killed within a few seconds. They didin't avoid any bullet or being seen by the enemy.

I carried them for 40 miles with my slow huey and they died in 30 seconds

I hope ED will show mercy to these poor patriotic kamikaze heroes eventually..

  7. I don't understand why we have those icons at the main screen. Very unuseful

There should be a "store" line on the right menu, when a user click on it, new screen should open and he can see all modules properly.

Bottom part of the main screen can be used for latest news or advertisments of the modules
