I had this same exact problem On every ATI card I have owned.Within 8-10 months they have gone bad,thats 3 cards that have done exactly like you have described.I liked ATI cards but Ive just never had good luck with them. On they last I had I was on tech support for over 2hours trying to get this fixed before they came to the conclusion that its bad.That was my ATI x1950.Now I have a EVGA 8800gt thats been going strong for 2yrs now. And I do not overclock ever.And Im not a fanboy of any brand im just giving my experience. Im sure the other posters have said some things to check but I didnt feel like reading through all the posts.But the only thing that worked for me for a short time was once I got the screen to come up was to use a program(forgot the name) and underclock the ATI card,at least it allowed me to use my pc for light work.

NVM,I got it fixed,it was Simmods A10 mod,I tred using modman to uninstall it but the skin stayed so I had to do a re-install of the game,all works now.

I decieded to install LOmacFC after not playing it for a very long time but Im having some trouble with the game,graphical wise that is. Ive been using the instant action A10 mission to set all my stuff up but get some probs. Truth is I have been outta of the flight sim scene for a long time,very long time.After buying DCS Ive decieded to get back into them.I have just learned of the OF.Looks like fun. I remeber the very 1st pc game I ever played...the very first Falcon...lol.Man that was a long time ago.

Hey I know this is an old thread but its kinda hard to find a forum with Falcon 4. Could anyone tell me why my OF would crash almost everytime I exit a mission. This is what I got: Vista 64 ultimate Nvidia 8800gt Installed Falcon 4.0 NOT AF installed Open Falcon 4.5 thats all I have done,I tried to update to 4.7 but the installer comes back and says I have a version mismatch.:helpsmilie:

I dont know how to do all that,You can enable easy flight but disable easy avionics and it will do away with all the arcade look. But doing this you will then be using the "real mode" control settings instead of the "game mode" controls and flying from the cockpit but its easier to fly. I am currently doing it this was until I learn to use the gear,ABRis,radio,DL and what not. I know its not exactly what your wanting but just thought Id try and help some.

Bought the english box version and the LOMAC FC. But If I really reserched more about BS and knew what type of software protection, activation/deactivation they used for it I most likely would not have bought it.I mean its already cracked so us that have the legal way have to deal with it. But I already have it and will buy any add-ons for it.Im not gonna get the manual.My dad has a printer for printing books and I just printed mine.

yes I do have all those.Im almost 100% sure all my probs are from the DCS controls editor.Like I said I think I may have hit the "clear catagory" button and If you do that it will not let you edit anything in that column...weird really.

:thumbup: :) FINALLY I got it fixed.Here is what I did: Went to blackshark\config\input\aircrafts\ka-50\joystick and copied the saitek x52.lua and pasted that into blackshark\config\input\aircrafts\ka-50_easy\joystick folder overwriting the original and I got my default controls back.:doh::D Thank you for the help.I really appreciated it.:thumbup: Wll im off to :pilotfly:as long as I have no other weird probs.

Nope.I woulda thought so too but nope.I have full controls if I set the game for sim mode,but if I set for easy avionics then it uses the game mode controls profile.And I think the other day I may have actually hit the clear catagory button on the top and clear all my axis commands....all the other joystick commands still work....just not the axis catagory.This is the first flight I have ever seen the doesnt just have a default control button.I know a re-install would fix that but come-on....a re-install just to get default controls back.Love the game but I REALLY REALLY HATE the controls editor layout and the way it functions. No if I reinstall does this count towards one of my activations being used?

Ok im not sure but I think some how the other day I may have accidentlly hit clear profile on the x52 column for game mode.Thats why it looks that way for game mode,but If i switch to sim mode this is what it looks like: And the controls do work if I play in full sim mode.I guess what I really need to know is how do I load the default joystick column profile for game mode?

Well my controls do work.If i choose full simulation mode then select real in the controls options and look at the axis my axis controls are there and do work.But im trying to play with easy avionics on right now until i learn the cockpit and with those settings I have no axis controls.So the stick is working but just not in I guess game mode....if that makes sense.

Ok for some reason in the control settings for my x52 axis has vanished.....they are gone and for some reason(kinda screwy control config DCS has) I cannot reprogramm.It will only let me highlight the axis name but that is it. I have tried loading the default profile but the only way it will let me is if I highlight say the mouse column but then it messes up my mouse settings....what the hell is with this really weird way of setting up the controls?Why isnt there just a default select button?Or am I missing something. How in the world do I get the column back so I can get my joystick controls working again?Please..:mad::cry::cry::huh::mad:
