Personally I am glad to still see the Whistling Death and Crusader in the pipe line and actively being worked. The hour glass may be moving at a snails pace, but in the end, the tortoise always beats the hare.
So the 21 has bugs, so your mom did not teach you patience, so you invested money and feel like you have been ripped off, clearly you have not fallen enough in life and pulled yourself back up off the deck. I would much rather have these projects to look forward to than nothing on the horizon at all and sitting here with another empty wish list.
Its all good to voice frustration, but taking cheap shots at the boys trying to make your virtual sim dreams come true is not exactly motivating material. Its not like their is not enough to fly in DCS as is until these are on the virtual flight deck. Mag 3, you still have a silent audience patiently waiting for you to roll these birds out. The virtual Navy boys are waiting.
Spot on.

This is happening on "Stable Release" as well. I have not yet tried rolling back Nvidia drivers and currently I am using the most recent.

LOL! Bravo sir!

Christ...this circus is never-ending.

LOL! I feel the same way about Lar Airbase in Persian Gulf. Except, instead of trees in front of the runway during landing it's tall buildings.

Beautiful skins gents.

Okay, just noticed they now have an Iranian A-50 in the game on that factions side which speaks English. It works.
-
So I've been making missions a long time in the DCS editor. Usually when making missions and playing as the Red Faction, one sets up the EWR sites or the A-50 and you get the Russian language spoken when using in-game communications menu.
Is there a way to have the EWR sites or the A-50 actually communicate with you via the communications menu in English, using the Russian EWR equipment or the A-50?
I'm currently working on a mission where you fly as Iranian pilots in the Mig-21bis. I saw in the list of allies in the briefing menu, you know the usual listed, North Korea, China, etc., and some have EWR equipment in their TO&Es, some don't. Saw Serbia listed and saw they have EWR sites available for their faction. Put it in the mission, gave it a frequency and when I try to communicate with it, no pilots sound from my aircraft and no EWR communication from the radar. No sound, no text. Nothing, silence. Was hoping there would be "English" coms coming from them because I don't want to use the Russian coms while flying as Iranians.
As Iranian aircraft, coms between me and my AI wingmen are in English but always in Russian between me and the EWRs or A-50.
When using the Chinese version of A-50, the language is in Chinese.
Is there any way to do this? Is there any way to create a mission flying as Red Faction while being able to use "English" language coms between my aircraft and the EWR or A-50 network?

No, it's time to update the stable, when 2.5.6 is ready for it, not before.
I don't want to have my performance have a dump taken on it just to appease the impatient.
Spot on.

Wondering if this has been fixed yet?

Instead of giving unlimited fuel I suggest an even easier way:
bind the wingman fuel consumption to that of the human wing leader
Bravo...This...^^^

well, until the end of last year, the stable was updated every two weeks with all the bugs of openbeta being ported over, only if they were completely game braking the update for stable was postponed, so the only thing more stable on the stable version was, that you saw the bugs coming two weeks before and then had to wait two weeks before it was fixed.
Now they finally use the stable build as what it is supposed to be: a platform that is not updated so often, but then by a substantial ammount and not with to many bugs. This means you have to wait longer for new features, but you don't get the stability issues and bugs that some openbeta patches get.
Spot on!

LOL. This exactly....one of the smallest, most niche communities in gaming just constantly stabbing their 1 out of 2 options to death....its a game people. Take your flight suits and helmets off and grab a beer and have fun.
Spot *^&!ing on! No wonder the world has gone insane.

You might want to take a look at this guy's videos on mission editor in DCS. He breaks the mission editor down in small videos covering a specific subject. In case you haven't seen this already, here is the playlist with 32 of his videos on the DCS Mission Editor.
Hope this helps. Cheers.

Figured out what I was doing wrong. TGP works great!

Could you by chance post that thread from Niehorst?

I know that RAZBAM is working on the Falklands map etc. I would love to get any of the Argentine fighter-bombers which saw action in the war. Doesn't matter which one but would be either Mirage III, A-4C, or the Super Entard. That would be paradise in DCS.

It is a superb heli module. Gives you a lot of options in terms of mission making and flying with respect to recon and light attack duties. You get basically 4 different variants for the price of one module.
-
Nice video! I too like flying helicopters in Normandy. It is such a suitable map for low hide and seek flying.
-
Oh that is good to know. Been wanting to create some transport missions and now I know I can. Wonderful!

I sometimes scratch my head why people think such a M4 would be in any way accurate when you fire it out of the door in a move sideways. I have fired multiple rifle rounds in my life and I know that there is so far not a single game that is relaistic in terms of the aim, recoil control, reaim and so on. Everybody who has fired rifles in his life will oknow, that a shot from a moving, rocking vehicle like a helicopter is basically, in first place a waste of ammunition, when you have way more accurate weapons you can use.
Spot on. I purchase your module and other DCS modules in order to fly aircraft, not shoot infantry arms. I have other simulations/games which do that better.

One of my favourite videos.
Maybe because I had a chance to chat with with the pilot who flew that day in the video and a good friend of our team and aswell part of the soul of this project was a pilot in taskforce saber
That is fantastic! Would have loved to talk with them myself. So much looking forward to your Kiowa module. Still thoroughly enjoying your Gazelle module. More videos please. :music_whistling::)

Great reads. Thanks for sharing those. Been flying this module a lot lately myself the past month and will continue to do so this month. Having a lot of fun with it.
RADAR and framerate issues
in MiG-21Bis
Posted · Edited by enigma6584
Attached is the track. My specs are as follows:
Intel Core i9 7920X @ 2.90GHz
RAM 64.0GB
Graphics NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2070
In the track I've flown low level with radar on. You can see the frame rate drop clearly. I've also flown low level with radar off and you can see the frame rate go up with smooth frames all around. I've then flown jumping back and forth with radar on, radar off and you can see the switch in frame rate.
Hope this helps.
