  1. I personally think that the NVG experience is quite good in DCS, it is not like real ones obviously but it is good enough to give me the feeling of flying for real. The thing I miss the most is the possibility to look at nebulae and galaxies... Astronomy is unbelievable when you are on top :)
  2. FAF NVGs don't have gain control. It's an On/Off position and that's all... The only thing you can do is reducing cockpit lights, but when it comes to the outside of the plane you have to deal with it.
  3. Hi, I believe that there is a small discrepancy behind the logic for the EP switch and associated alarms: when EP is aft (off), there must be the red EP alarm when EP is middle (on), no alarm unless loss of hydraulic pressure and automatic EP start is commanded when EP is front (forced to on), EP alarm after some delay of continuous use, but no HYD2 alarm. Thanks!
  4. Hi, Small bugs with the synthetic runway in ILS mode: the brightness is not the same as the HUD's brightness, it is always at max intensity, which is a disturbance for night operations; the synthetic runway is supposed to be located over the DEST waypoint, i.e. it should not be exacty over the real runway because of INS drift; I believe that the DEST waypoint must have CP/PD (runway heading / desired slope) parameters inserted in the INS (at least in order to show the correct runway heading); known bug I think, but the PD (desired slope) index is missing in the HUD Thanks,

    INS UPDATE

Hi Mario. I guess the video tutorial you watched were done on the former version of the M2000 cockpit. On the updated cockpit there is no more ENC button or EW box on the left side. Everything is fine now and more coherent with the real aircraft.
  6. A good way to know it's time to dive is when you feel that the desired target is "under your feet". You'll have then a 30° dive. For the escape, don't hesitate to pull at 5.5G. Make a last designation at 4000' AGL in order to stay above 3000' (frag).
  7. Definitely not working for me. L/G/Z have been checked, all has been done by the book, and still no way point visible. If anyone can help I will be grateful :)
  8. By the way I never managed to get it work "WAYPOINT VISUALISATION ON THE VTB" (p. 162). Has anyone tried it recently? Thanks
  9. CCRP mode has been designed to be used in a dive-toss trajectory. Try a dive at 30°, a last target designation above 3000' AGL, and a continuous pull up at 5.5G until bomb release... The level bombing as described by various manuals is not the way it has been designed to work and will only result in poor accuracy, especially because of a poor target designation and a poor manual lateral guidance until release.
  10. I managed to contact the JTAC in very low level, I don't know why there might be such a difference between people... Not realistic because obviously so low in mountains radio contact is much harder, unless if there is a radio relay airborne. Around WPT3 I initiated contact (on station in 15 minutes) then went through all the process. I was able to get a full read back before WPT5 and asked for Laser On before the attack.
  11. Finished it today, via a standard CCRP release though... Laser seemed to work well.
  12. I tried it in the plane once during a visit. When you go on the test position, indicated fuel on the detot is decreasing and fuel lights are on. When you reach around 1400 kg you can hear the "glou glou" sound associated to bingo warning. Regarding the alarm panel, it also works as any amber light and should have its warning sound... as any amber alarm...
  13. Hello, In the cockpit I have two knobs on the radar panel that are marked with "Radar illumination switch" and "Radar contrast switch". I think that in the real airplane these are switches to select the radar frequency logic, in order to avoid jamming each other within a flight if radar frequencies are too close. Thanks
  14. Hello, Here is a small bug that I have noticed everytime: when I reach my Bingo fuel, the Bingo light on the alarm panel lights up but it should light the amber warning repeater after 30" with the associated amber alarm sound. Also, there is supposed to be a "glou-glou" sound when I reach the bingo fuel. Both of these sounds are missing for me. Did you also notice this? Thanks!
