FF Mig-29 Weapons Mod
VictorDavion replied to VictorDavion's topic in Utility/Program Mods for DCS World
Yeah from what I've found out the only way to do it is like the F-16I SUFA mod where you replace an existing weapon but that is purely cosmetic and doesnt actually give you the capes of the new weapon you are replacing it with. Just a model swap. -
FF Mig-29 Weapons Mod

I was able to add new weapons. Unfortunately, they aircraft systems dont recognize them so you cannot use them at all. I havent been able to find a way to fix that like with the M2000C and the PCA script. Hopefully some can figure it out... -
Has someone done a expanded weapon mod on the new Mig-29 like the FC3 version has? Curious as to what actually works on it in order to replicate ukrainian mig-29s against russia with agm-88, gbu bomb trucks, etc.

Would be sweet if they added the modernized variants of the polish air force. The NS 430 is 50 percent of the way there for the early 2000's just missing the NATO/modern radios. Unlikely ED ever does this though.

MiG-29A(M) - Polish Modernised Fulcrum MOD
VictorDavion replied to VinntoreZ's topic in Flyable/Drivable Mods for DCS World
Now that the full fidelity mig-29 is out, are you going to try and port this mod over to that or the modernization before this since they integrated the NS430 into it already? -

Are you going to try and port this over to the full fidelity Mig-29A? Supposedly a good majority of that pulls from the FC3 module. -

JAS 39C Gripen Community Mod
VictorDavion replied to whisky.actual's topic in Flyable/Drivable Mods for DCS World
Yes that solves the CTD issue but makes the mod unusable since you cant put any weapons on it...so not really a fix. You have no weapons on it with that fix so might as well remove the mod then.- 520 replies

FYI the latest update broke this mod. The game will crash upon start if you have it enabled. Only way to fix the game is run repair. Disabling the mod will not resolve the issue (OvGME users). -
Any releasable store should from a test and evaluation standpoint should release cleanly from the aircraft in straight and level unaccelerated flight. This is not to be confused with release/attack TTP's. No bomb from a design and safety standpoint should rise up and strike the aircraft upon release or have a risk of doing so. This would not be tolerated in the testing phase and would be a major safety issue. As a military pilot myself I cannot think of a single instance where this would be something we would allow in the real world. This is a programming flaw within the game construct that needs to be fixed.

When releasing GBU's of any kind they dont separate from the aircraft smoothly and this has been an issue over the last several updates and has gotten worse with the latest one. When releasing them rather than fall away smoothly as they should they immediately rise up and strike the aircraft causing structural damage. This is especially bad on the centerline station. GBU's are essentially unusable without high risk of damage to your plane on release.

According to some exchange pilots I trained at our FTU, the last french M2000C's replaced the VTB for US LCD displays but retained the same functionality. As far as GPS they used ipads with a GSP/ADS-B in antenna in the cockpit. Only the -5's, D, and mk2 got integrated gps.
