The glitches are linked to the new graphic effects of the explosions of the aircraft both of the 2nd World War and Moderns from the DCS version 2.5.6, we hope that what Biggewy says for version 2.7 is valid to resolve the problem definitively.

in my opinion it is always linked to the new aircraft explosion and fumes management system since version DCS 2.5.6. In fact or tried to install the latest DCS 2.5.5 from April 2020 and the bugs are not there. -
personal experience: if I install the stable version DCS 2.5.5.41371.1 of 12.04.2020 I do not find any problems related to explosions but from DCS 2.5.6.49798 onwards bugs appear.

thanks for your information, may I ask which is the latest stable version that does not suffer from this problem?

unfortunately not only happens with WW2, it also happens to me when I use f16 or f18 when I am in battle with numerous aircraft, the bug is present only with aerial explosions or the aircraft explode on the ground.

I tried the extreme method: complete formatting and reinstallation of the operating system, the simulator only the essential parts, graphics drivers and peripherals. I immediately tried to fly and do the aerial fights and the flashes continue. this is all very frustrating.

I also confirm that amd video cards produce black flicker every time there is an airplane explosion. i own vega 56
