Ok thank you, does he test his mod with DCS ? Or does he only use it for games like GTA ? Edit: Hm lightning still doesn't work when starting from a FARP and no refelctions at all. My card is a GTX280. Update2: With version 0.074f lightning and reflections working now <3

I wonder why the Ka50 doesn't exactly turns the heading to the target. When I turn on "Turn to target" I often have to adjust with the rudder to have my Vikhr in the fire-position.

I'm sitting 2 meters away of my 37" LCD, it's very nice, resolution is 1920*1080 (fullhd), very nice and fluent and biiig :D 46" would be godlike. I don't think it would eat that much performance...

Only thing I was very angry about was a terrain bug, I landed, wheels were stuck in the ground and started bouncing and suddenly ka50 exploded. But that was a bug I think it's ok overall =)

Yes you're right but I didn't say it's a real Ka-50 shkval, just that it's based on this video I found. As far as I know the old shkval was yellow. If someone finds a better reference send it to me and I will give my best to get it ingame ;-) There is a switch on the shkval with which you can switch between black and white, if you meant that.

It all began with my camera view gone crazy. Then I found out how to fix it and disabled that button in the control settings to not let it happen again, accidentally I messed up my controls, so I deleted them in my KA50 input folder and dragged the ones from "Default" folder in. Started the game. I had to notice that this did't work and for KA50-real all axis were gone. KA50 Real has no axis or commands anymore to assign, it's just missing, a blank control screen without a chart and I'm going crazy. So I wanted to take my old file back but accidentally was delete by a cleaner programm. II don't want to reinstall because then I would have to do the missions again. Has somebody an idea where to get the default inputs from ? I know someone of you could upload his input folder but I want the default ones and I don't want to click 500 times to set everything back to default... :joystick: The folders I played around with were in Ka-50\Config\Input\Aircrafts\ there I copied everything from the "default" folder to the "ka-50" one. I am completely helpless. It's like one day you come home and your house was bombed away... Maybe somebody know where the campaign data of my pilot is saved so i would not have to do everything again after clean reinstall. Edit: I've been able to end my hysteria. I copied the players.lua which saves all campaign data, backed up my sounds and addons, deactivated dcs, uninstalled and now I'm reinstalling it.

Yea guess you're right. I can even lock targets at night but it's much harder.

I have not been able to target lock the escaping car, don't know why. Somebody know what might have been wrong ? I manually sent 2 rockets to it then but targetlock would have been big help.

What a mission do you start ? As far as I know you can choose in the mission configuration if these alert sounds will be played. Also you can activate this settings for all missions int he dcs menu. There you can choose "external view" "labels" "easy flying" and I think there is warnings, too. Then just check the box called "use for all missions". And check if you activated the radios in the KA 50 cockpit (intercom, vhf) because the warnings are played through the radio in the pilot helmet.

You would prefer the logitech system, right ? It's like that: I could get a MSFFB2 for 40€ in nice condition. Rudder pedals at ebay faround 80€ and throttle around 80€. G940 from USA would be around 200/220€. The price would be basically the same. But I don't know which has better quality. The logitech seems to have more function but ch pedals and throttle look very robust. Well I think I will take the g940. The joystick will fit better in a small simchair and also has this new ministick on it. Splithrottle and green/red/off buttons. Thanks for helping with the decision :)

Good to hear someone likes it :) I am quite white, too. I just wanted another pilot look and I think the new one definitely looks less plastic/actionfigure-like. Only thing I have to figure out is how I change the skin of the pilot after he ejected out of the cockpit. Will update it then ;-)

Grano Dostano, Made one of this small modifications because I disliked the look of the pilot. This new one fits better for me. A must have for all latin, black and orientalic KA 50 pilots, or just people with darker skin :smilewink: Also looks more natural in the dark cockpit. Modman compatible. The i7 920 is better. Needs only slightly changes in Bios to have it running at 3.4 Ghz. Then it's performance is the same as this expensive boy http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/SearchTools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=5077737&CatId=4074 If you have a god CPU fan you can overclock further to 3.6/3.8 Ghz. Watercooled even 3.4/4.2 Ghz. The Q9650 won't go that high. Besides that, the new i7 architecture is way better then the one of the Q9650. Also core i7 has a newer 1366 socket, which means you can use newer components like DDR3 ram.

Yes you're right. But I think it's anyway most fun to play it if you have some time, you can relax and dive into the atmosphere then =)
