    Sorry I’m late to this.  The dcs-bios arduino flightpanels fork has a solution where one pin can control both a cover and a switch and does the sequencing for you.

    https://github.com/DCSFlightpanels/dcs-bios-arduino-library

     For example:

    // A switch that has a cover in DCS that must be opened before the switch itself can be activated
      DcsBios::SwitchWithCover2Pos pltLaunchbarAbort("PLT_LAUNCHBAR_ABORT", "PLT_LAUNCHBAR_ABORT_COVER", 6);

    Hello puma.  I'm trying to get this to work for the AH64D APU cover and the CMWS jettison cover - so far no luck following this example.  Can you help?  Grateful thank you.

    DcsBios::LED pltMasterCautionL(0x8712, 0x800, 10);

    DcsBios::LED pltMasterWarningL(0x8712, 0x0400, 2);

    Interesting - thank you - now i cant find where i got my own AMs from!!!  Looking forward to trying this - thank you muchly!

    (edit - ahhhhhhhhhhhh i see!  I used the AMs for the button and not the LED!  Thank you again - grateful)

    I get a define error when using these lines JC - hense direct use of Address Matrix

    Would love to see your project. You raise an interesting point. Although I have done the coding for the master arm and warning I have not tested them yet. I’ll try and see what happens. Can you share the lines of code you are using? I’m not sure if you are using the version of the code that uses macros.

    Sure - here you go pal:

    DcsBios::LED pltIntlMcautionBtn(0x801c, 0x0100, 43);

    DcsBios::LED pltIntlMwarnBtn(0x801c, 0x0200, 45);

    looking forward to seeing what Jonny Chicago says because he has it working..........................

  5. Really?  So.................  master caution and warning both light up your led's in your pit?

    I'd be interested to see how you managed to do that my friend because all that is happening my end is my leds lighting up when the button is pressed in sim, rather than being an output in sync.

    for example:

    DcsBios::LED pltIntlMcautionBtn(0x801c, 0x0100, 43);

    DcsBios::LED pltIntlMwarnBtn(0x801c, 0x0200, 45);

    This is supposed to ensure the LED is lighting up when the master caution/Master warning is activated in the sim.  But..................................  nope.

    Board is a Mega.

    Thank you.

  6. Excellent project my friend - I'm doing likewise with a Hornet pit AND an apache as one (clicky, clicky!!).

    Let me know how you get on with master warning and master caution lights / led outputs.  They dont seem to work even when using the address and mask as per BORT.

    bravo!!

  7. solved problem for me too however..................................  now there are random disconnects, lag, then reconnects.  A revisit of a very old problem which no doubt will be resolved at some point.

    I'll assume this has been picked up?  Dangerous I know, but I'll do it anyway.  Cheers.

    As an actual 64 pilot I drop my seat down low for comfort. I raise the seat to the design eye position, and then I drop the seat down thereafter to make operating the collective easier, and to prioritize comfort. The helicopter is massively uncomfortable by default, you learn to work with limited visibility by leveraging manual stabilator and the pnvs during daylight hours.

    Probably a daft question - forgive me but with differing FOVs and eye line positions available via the RCtrl,Shift and numpad feature 'where' is the 'design eye position'?  Thank you.

  9. Just bumping this - Congratulations @f4l0 - excellent piece of software and by far and away better than NLR own iteration of haptic control and also SimHub.  I've just gotten the HF8 today and SimShaker for Aviators works a charm.  Thank you.

    Currently on stable.  Should I use the beta version of SSA?

    Donation inbounds - thoroughly deserved.

    Best wishes

  10. Hello Legends and Heli-Heads!

    I've put these videos together for you over the past few days and hope it may be of some use to some of you.

    There are some great videos out there discussing the options but I wanted to add my own contribution focusing on evidencing the various options you have and, the thought process of selecting..................................  which one is right for you?

    Best wishes all,

    x

  11. shockingly bad prep ED, shockingly bad!

    Thanks for keeping us abreast anyway but a great reminder that you own the modules and that we essentially rent them.  That's right peeps - no ED, no modules.

  12. @derneuemann - part 2 and part 3 is there mate with another that is a conclusion.  There is also another video which i believe releases friday which pitches the 4080 vs itself - max Fps vs Max hz.  I will be testing in VR yes but to be honest, I've done that with a 1080ti and it wasn't actually the hardware but, setting up DCS right and the OQ2 right in the firstplace.  However, I will test for you and others so that hopefully, will also be of benefit.

    @Mr_sukebe - agreed - about that yes although as you can see it Part 3 of the series there are significant other benefits too - lower heat, lower energy, better utilisation / matching with a modern and powerful cpu.  In short, I think it is well matched with the 13900k which wasn't remotely bothered and I think it'd be ok too with a 12900/700 or even 11900/11700 but I think lower than that and you would be cpu bound with this bugger but............................  have any of us, ever............ been CPU bound with DCS world?  Not me......

  13. Hello legends, Helii-heads and choppers, hope this short note finds you all well - greetings and salutations to you from the Heli-Shed.

    I've just swapped out a RTX 3080ti for a RTX 4080 in preparation for more additional DCS World content on Heli-Shed and thought it was a really good time to crank up the settings and pit these two against one another.

    It's in three parts.  Part 1 - Nvidia Control Panel Test Settings.  Part 2 - DCS World Test Settings - these are just 'test' settings and i certainly don't recommend you fly normally with these.  Part 3 - Short flight pitching them both against one another.  The flight uses close ups, distance, scene switching, combat etc - all the tricks in the trade to burn the beasties being matched - in this case both cards were over 98% pretty much the whole time.

    I'll be putting a few other videos together giving some advice on how to make DCS world look the best for your system as I've seen some advice out there which is just plane wrong to be honest.  Everyone's system is different but, if you follow a few basic rules, you'll have a really smooth experience and completely immersive.  As someone with an IQ of 3, it really isn't that complicated either - if I can do it, damn sure you can too.

    Wishing you all well, pop along to Heli-Shed on Youtube and please do me a favour and sub me.  Thank you muchly!!
