  1. I haven’t had the issue since the last few updates. I think one back in may/June addressed the issues?? As well as fog and dust storm settings I also had it induced when looking at smoke effects from the F4s engines and the smoky Mig-29 engines. It was always more prevalent when you looked through HMCS at particle effects (engines, smoke, fog, dust). I verified it in the hornet HMCS, A-10 HMCS. Out of interest @signormagnifico do you have AMD or Nvidia card out of interest?
  2. Ahh that makes sense as I was going up near 3k and it blew. I was thinking it was all good to do it because the manual said. Thanks for the clarification buddy.
  3. So what are your dive engine settings then?
  4. Hi all, Recently got back into the Jug after a few years off warbirds. I dusted off my old flight notes and I’m comfortable again with T/O, climb and cruise settings etc. Diving however I keep blowing the engine. What are the correct dive engine management settings for a fast dive from high altitude 20K? I can’t see anything in the manual or chucks. Cheers!
  5. I have had this since the last patch - mainly when using the mission editor. The internet connection is still up and everything else works fine - DCS has just started crashing due to the same login session has expired as mentioned above.
  6. Any news on this? Really looking forward to flying the A7.
  7. That is a work around yes but it’s often easier to edit in ALT mode and and we shouldn’t have to workaround this. Ugra managed it with the Syria map so I’m hoping it’s a quick fix soon.
  8. Perhaps I should have been more specific - affecting hardware performance. It wouldn’t be good if it caused thermal throttling performance due to heat or increases to internal case temp which could affect other components also. Hopefully we get a hot fix soon.
  9. This happens at quite a few bases and makes it impossible to use in ALT map mode:
  10. 5600x +22C more at idle. fans on all of system going almost max rpm just sat at idle in the game menu or miz editor. If I rollback the driver. Zero issues. @BIGNEWY what’s the timeline on a fix as it could affect people’s hardware pretty badly.
  11. Hi all, Totally appreciate the TFR pedals ain’t that good for helo ops but those of you with them please can you share your best settings for curve/dead zone/sat for the rudder axis please? I am interested in what everyone is using, because I’m struggling to stop the Apache from being twitchy on the pedals. Cheers!
  12. Performance is currently diabolical in the game. Just trying to open and close menu items or move around the mission editor with no units in it is painful. Trying to load into SP and MP missions takes minutes rather than seconds. Hopefully it can be fixed.
  13. Since the last update and hotfix the load times of mission files is very slow and often takes minutes whereas before it was seconds. 1/3 times when closing down a mission from the mission editor or starting a mission in game and then stopping closing causes the system to CTD. Issue is resolved by reverting to 2.9.14. happens on local machine and on our MP server.
  14. Damn sorry to hear that. I get black screen of 2-3 seconds when I alt tab out of DCS to say discord or SRS since windows 11 update. It got better when I messed with the PBO and power settings but my only flickering was what I mentioned. I used to get white strobing and black strobing on my Nvidia card and I eventually had to use DDU to nuke everything and start again and then change the power settings in the Nvidia driver tool. Can’t remember what the setting was called. I have no doubt you’ve checked but do your logs give you any clue whatsoever of a potential issue?
  15. I appreciate your feedback - based on your feedback it seems we could be seeing different issues then. All I can say with certainty is those people (6 and more recently) have the same issue I had and turning off motion blur fixed the issue. You cannot argue with that data - however I appreciate your issue may be different and I was offering something to try just in case. Take it steady and good luck with your issue, I understand nothing sucks more than an issue you can’t fix. Hopefully you find it!!
