Are we supposed to be able to choose between hot or cold starts? I just played missions 2 and 3, and it was a cold start for both of them. I prefer hot.

This is reported already, but I added a screen from your track as well as the track and bumped the priority on it. Thanks.
What priority was it on before?

*edited to reclarify the issue (I originally explained the problem backwards)
The issue (for those who are unaware):
When an AGM-65 Maverick is uncaged and TMS UP puts you into IRMV mode to slew the seeker head, there's a bug with the "TDC Slew Vertical" axis in Axis Commands.
Specifically, the bug is if you slew vertically first and then add in horizontal slew, it stops the seeker head from slewing.
To slew vertically without interruption, you have to ensure that there is ZERO horizontal input while you're slewing vertically. If at any point during a vertical slew it detects some horizontal input, it stops slewing altogether and the reticle just freezes.
It also means you effectively cannot slew diagonally if you start the slew with vertical input.
The only workaround I've ever seen for this is to put such a large deadzone into the horizontal TDC slew axis (for the Warthog throttle thumbstick/cursor) that it practically makes it impossible to make fine adjustments horizontally.
This bug has been going back 4+ years, and at one point Razbam said they fixed it but it was never actually fixed. It makes slewing the Maverick seeker head a total PITA and I've had to abandon many an attack run because I just couldn't get the stupid crosshair on the target to get a lock.

I am looking into the clear glass thing, but realistically, this shouldn't be a mod but a user option like it is on some modules.
Yeah, it should have been a user option provided by ED. But it never was, which is why the mod was made to cover ED's shortsightedness. Just like the dots mod. Just like the data cartridge mod. Just like a dozen other QoL mods that should have been added long before now.
People are upset because there has been inaction from ED on many of these things reported and discussed YEARS ago, but it takes a hacker abusing a mod to put you guys into action?-

Many people don’t want to use mods due to the problems they can cause or the difficulty in dealing with them
Ok. So they don't want to use them. Doesn't mean they can't, as you claimed earlier. Won't use =/= can't use.
And if I go into the DCS graphics options and change my resolution, that also affects the distance I can see "dots". Does that make me a cheater too even though everyone can also change their resolution?
Your definition of cheating needs refinement.26 minutes ago, SharpeXB said:The mod isn’t available to everyone
Yes, it literally is available to everyone.
You're changing the definition of words just so it fits your argument lol. Doesn't really lend your argument any weight. Just makes you look like you have to be right all the time.-

Yes it is if one player can do it and another can’t. Not everyone wants to use mods or knows that this one even exists.
Having certain players able to adjust visibility in a way that others can’t is cheating. Plain and simple.
Everyone has access to these mods. They're free and freely found. Before this recent patch, there was literally nothing stopping anyone from using them.
It's not my problem that someone else can't do a little searching and find these mods the same way I found them.
If someone chooses not to use a mod that improves visibility looking through simulated glass out of the cockpit, that's their decision. Shouldn't have to affect me or my game one bit. You seem to have confused the word "can't" for "won't". Anyone can use these. If players won't, that doesn't mean I'm cheating by using them.-

Well it’s not exactly fair in MP for some players to alter their graphics like that with regard to spotting etc. This should be controlled by the IC.
Having canopy glass that you can clearly see out of is hardly an unfair advantage.

In the effort to block the dots/spotting mod, ED decided to just block the entire shaders folder.
Mods like the clear canopy glass, Tacca's NVG mod, and better smoke are now blocked from working on any MP server that has IC enabled.
Good job ED. All you needed to do was stop one mod from being abused and you ended up blocking a good chunk of them. The clear canopy glass is the one I'm most upset about. I can't see f--k all through the Mi-8 cockpit with those horrible baked in reflections and sunlight added to the mix.-

It seems that every mod that accessed the shaders folder is now banned from being used with the integrity check system.
ED wanted to stop one mod from being abused and ended up stopping a bunch more.-

Is this going to get fixed soon? Still happening.

I'm trying to mod a sound file for a specific module, but all the files are encrypted. How would I go about doing it now?

Obviously is frustrating and I also want it fixed, but on other hand is as real as it can get for certain planes with less advanced EW/RWR equipment.
What I mean is, IRL you just not happily enter a SAM wez waiting for the launch warning to launch a harm and evade, you either stay completely out of it, you go with a dedicated EW plane escorting you or you go low. Even more, some modern Sam's like nasams, patriots, S300/400 don't provide a launch warning as they do (except this patch) in DCS, they have TWS launch modes that could be very dangerous.
So myself at least, I'm approaching SAM defended zones as Ukrainian pilots are doing these days, considering once you are close you go low and scan for launches, and you stay just enough to lob a jdam, or a harm and get the hell out of it. It's been even fun instead of frustrating .

Ok. Well DCS isn't real life. RWR needs to work for DCS balance to exist, given what our aircraft modules can and can't do.
I'm sure IRL fifth gen fighters have ways to deal with "silent" missile systems like the S400, but we don't have those in DCS. Can we please not try to rationalize the RWR bug by bringing in real world arguments that have absolutely 0% to do with DCS?

I just tried this mission, and I can confirm that my flight lead SLUGGO is suicidal.
The briefing told me to follow SLUGGO unless told otherwise, so I did. He turned south towards WP3 and I could see 2x SA-6 batteries near some mountains. I could see them on TOO but SLUGGO didn't say anything so I just kept flying his wing.
The SA-6 sites both locked me. Nothing from SLUGGO. No radio comms, no evasive actions..nothing.
Both SA-6 sites fired on me. I can visually see the smoke trails from the missiles. SLUGGO still says nothing, and he keeps flying towards the threat. I was forced to break off and go defensive after firing a HARM at each site.
First HARM only did about 25% dmg, and apparently the 2nd HARM missed because I never saw a kill message. I checked the SA page and both SLUGGO and Rickshaw are still flying towards the SA-6 sites. Obviously something broke in the mission, but at this point I'm already an hour in and I feel like the entire mission was wasted. I logged off.
Disappointing.

The game doesn't load everything immediately. When you load into a server and pick a plane it'll finish loading in assets and if some of them violate the IC it'll kick you.
Thanks. That makes sense.
