Do Phoenixs go pitbull in STT or only in TWS?

Proper procedure for rearming countermeasures?
key_stroked replied to key_stroked's topic in DCS: F-14A & B
That doesn't make any sense. IronMike said Grover would get back to us, and that was back in October, 5 months ago. I've seen IronMike active in plenty of threads these past few weeks, but for some reason he won't come back to this one and just give a simple update, even if it's to tell us "we don't know how it really works yet". That would be a really bizarre statement, but it's better than just silence. I'm not really asking for much here. -

Is there some reason this is getting ignored? -
Any way to get Jester to enter a specific set of coordinates?
key_stroked replied to key_stroked's topic in DCS: F-14A & B
Thanks! -
I know about setting an F10 map mark and asking jester to set a waypoint to that, but that's not what I'm asking. If I have the specific lat/long of a target (for example, from the GCI webpage for Hoggit), can I tell Jester to enter those specific coordinates? Setting the waypoint to a general target area and trying to find a specific target (in this case, it was a mobile command unit) from 20,000+ feet with the LANTIRN's resolution is pretty tough.

Don't know if this is intended, but I was testing the keybind for the emergency gear deploy (which actually doesn't work correctly. It's supposed to twist the gear knob but all it does it push the gear lever down normally). Right clicking the gear knob on the ground and right clicking it again to reset it will cause the NWS system to not work after that. What's bizarre is, after you reset the knob, if you use the keybind for emergency gear extend, it will move the gear handle up, and pressing the NWS button will illuminate the "NWS ENGA" advisory, but if you try to steer the jet nothing happens.

Proper procedure for rearming countermeasures?

Bueller? -
Was flying the B and took a missile, and the instruments and radio went out. Left engine was smoking and I was hearing compressor stalls. I flew back to the boat but my hook wouldn't physically come down on the jet. The handle moved, and the light turned red, but no dice on the hook itself. I was able to force the gear down with the emergency procedure (twisting the gear handle), but is there such an emergency procedure for the hook? And for the record, trying to slide sideways to stop on the deck doesn't work. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ I read the NATOPS pocketbook, and sure enough there was an emergency hook procedure. Of course, if you look at the hook handle itself in the jet, right next to it in yellow caution lettering is the exact same instructions. I could have saved the Navy a jet. Oops. Must learn to read cockpit stuff next time!

Did Grover ever find out the definitive way to rearm countermeasures? Or did Grover post in another thread that I missed? -
This still hasn't been fixed? Wow.

Got it, thanks!

Hi, I've tried searching for this in here and the Hoggit subreddit, but can't find specific info. From the RWR documentation, it says "12" refers to the S-300V. The problem is I can't find this particular missile system either in DCS's encyclopedia (both the weapons or air defense sections), or the unit list for Air Defense in the mission editor when placing a unit (I tried Russia and China). If it's in the F-14s RWR, than what unit does it refer to in the DCS mission editor? And what missile is it supposed to fire?

Comprehensive list of context sensitive HOTAS commands?
key_stroked replied to key_stroked's topic in DCS: F/A-18C
That's great! Thanks! -
I tried looking in the user downloads section, and I've done Google searches, but I can't find any single graphic or list that explains all of the context sensitive commands for the HOTAS controls. Chuck's guide talks about some of it but not everything. To be clearer, I'm looking for something similar to this (F-16 controls) --> Does anything like that exist for the F-18?

Is it possible to hide the control stick?
key_stroked replied to key_stroked's topic in DCS: AJS37 Viggen
Anyone? -
Any updates on this?
-
I have the option turned on in the general options but the stick still shows up in the Viggen. No clickspot at the base and no special key mapping in the Viggen's controls. Was this never implemented?

Will need to be shipped to the U.S., California.

From my interweb browsings, I've read that ED's missile API was finished, Heatblur patched the F-14B and its missiles with that API, and that phoenix missiles and sparrows still don't track like they should and Jester loses lock like he did before the API was finished. Is all this true? I've also read that the current state of missiles and their tracking is out of Heatblur's hands because it's now up to ED to fix their API, and knowing ED that could be glacially slow. Is the Tomcat worth flying right now or should I keep it on the shelf?
