I actually record at full speed believe it or not. I notice with your videos, you add a lot of sound effects, I did that for a few of my videos because Fraps refused to record sound. That adds a lot more work, but seems like its worth it in the end. Ill see what I can do about the resolution though. Thanks for the pointers though :D

If your going to make a two seater anything, you need to make that person have a point. Otherwise it is the same as the F2 view. F-15E, weapons and counter measures officer, same thing with the AH-64, Gunner and pilot. Makes a lot of sense no? I would like to see a two seater. That would add a whole new pitch to the game. Gives the pilot a second pair of eyes to check your six while being engaged by hostile aircraft or AA.

I am very bound by graphics. For a fly by I recorded last night I bumped them up to the max, the lag while recording was terrible. Adding AA to my game probably would make that even worse. I currently don't work, so I can not afford to out grade my computer in anyway. Im running a 8800GTX. What would you recommend? As far as the name, I didn't look up the names of other films. My made the video as a dedication to old friends of mine.

Well, its been quite some time since I released a video. Ive been very busy with school and Ive been trying to work on the side. I had some free time so I threw this together. I havent really worked with IL-2 before. I looked at the mission editor and said screw that. This isnt my usual Lock On stuff, cam angles and everything, I basically went with what I could. I am looking for some feed back on this film, like what could be changed, what you did or didnt like about it. Depending on what people say will determine if I continue to use IL-2 to make films. Alright, well this isnt for me, its for someone who commented on one of my videos. He has Lock On platinum but for whatever reason he cant get more then 7 FPS. These are the specs he gave me sixcore 3.2 gig AMD Phenom 1090T, 8 gb ram, 1gb xfx 5570 radeon I asked if he updated his drivers, he said yes, I told him to turn off anything in the background that didnt need to be ran. The rig he has seems like it should be able to max the game out without any issues. See being I am running about half of what he has and I can play maxed out with 12-17 FPS in some cases. Any ideas?

How do you do this FC2? Because honestly this is going to ruin the footage for my next video. I tried the volume controls and they didnt work. Ctrl+N doesnt work. Any ideas?

Of course have fun. Thats the first thing. But like said before, go slow. Take your time on your preflight, ALWAYS use your checklist. You want to start good habits before you take your flight exam. Remember, one thing goes wrong.. it could mean the difference between life and death. I have a story my ground school teacher told me.. One of the students went up for their night flying, to bang out the few hours needed, during the run-up the student didnt have the brakes set all the way and the aircraft moved forward and hit the taxi-way light severely damaging the propeller(C-152). Instead of shutting down and checking they went up anyway. Well, they landed and went about their night, without checking the plane and reporting the damage. The next day, one of the kids in my class went up with the same plane. During the day, didnt check the propeller, half assed his preflight, and the instructor didnt realize this either, whether this is true or not, I dont know, this is what I was told. Well he crashed on take off... no just kidding, but it could have happened. the moral of the story, DO NOT!!! HALF ASS FLYING!!! Cars sure, flying. No, you could kill yourself and a lot more people.

Cali I was playing with you on the 104th the other night. Me and a few friends tried that with the fuel tanks, it went right through his canopy.

I know this is a bump but.. anyway 1. If you collide with dropped weapons(AA missiles/Fuel tanks) They should do damage to your aircraft 2. When weapons/fuel tanks are dropped, instead of just going through the ground, either explode or make a dust cloud. 3. Make a 3D mission builder. (ive seen this brought up before)

I took this video the other day standing in my screen room during the thunderstorm. I wasnt expecting this...

The targets were between 25 and 30 yards. I got stuck on the rifle range because the pistol range was full. .22 ammo is dirt cheap. we bought 250 rounds, 200 9mm and 50 .22, we shot though all of them within 45 minutes. Spent at least, I think it was $60 on the ammo. Damn its an expensive hobby. For what ever reason, I want to start getting into the hobby.

Considering that I am starting college next month, I wont have time to be making videos. I am going to Full Sail University for film and video production (Go figure right??). I have decided to leave you guys with one more film. The Ultimate Showdown. This film is going to be the ultimate Hitler Parody out there. I have come up with the idea of having all the internets most known gamers, and what not I guess you can say coming together to take part in a Lock On Ladder. Its going to be a pretty interesting video.

Kinda useless but I'm gonna throw it in there, F-22 Lightning 3 had a Tactical Nuke, Bring that into DCS, would be interesting ingame to wipe out everything in sight,

just a few more I thought of 7. If your plane collides with debris from another aircraft it should cause damage to yours. 8. If you are exposed to smoke to long it should effect engine performance.

I was kinda sitting there the other day thinking of a few things to increase realism in the game play... I do not own DCS A-10 so I don't know if these were added. 1. Give trees collision models, kinda stupid you can just fly though them and nothing happens. 2. Make the trees destroyable, If there's a tank chilling in the brush and you drop a Mk-84 on him, that whole area should be completely leveled. 3. When hitting buildings with light weapons, such as guns, rocket pods, etc, I think they should add effects that have part of the buildings come off before the whole thing falls down. 4. Realistic damage models for all aircraft, kinda bugs me when I can shred one plane and 59875 parts fall off and with another only 2 or 3.. 5. I agree with the whole bird strike thing, they should make modeled birds for in game. 6. Have ground vehicles drive to your plane when you land to rearm/refuel/repair. That would be kind of neat.

@power Thank you, I used this song because it was able to mask the annoying computer sounds from the cockpit considering FC2 does not give you an option to turn them off when you record a demo with them on, unless there's something I don't know about... and he was landing ;) @Viper it was a slight fire with the gun. not chaff lol and I think the only time the planes had their nav lights on was when I shot the ones engine out and the other that was landing.

Just to throw it out there, I didn't read all 12 pages so I don't know if its been said, I noticed in the beginning everyone was talking about the SU-30 or SU-34 or any other type of 2 seated aircraft. Now, That would be interesting for multiplayer, now you can have your friends fly in your plane with you, kind of like FSX and IL-2. Sure, training about blow chunks, but I think its a cool feature that would require both of you to work together to stay alive.
