Alright, heres the scoop, I have been living with my aunt and uncle for about a year and a half now, we have had our arguments and what not. Recently, my aunts computer took a dump and couldn't be fixed. They have done a lot for me in the last year and a half so I took it upon myself to buy them a brand new laptop showing how much I appreciate what they have done for me. Now, my father sells computers. Once I told him that I had gotten one for them from best buy he flipped out. Now, do understand, its not that I didn't want to buy one from my dad, at the time all I thought about was getting them a new one to make them happy, I didn't care how much I spent or where I got it. The fact they needed and wanted one was my only thought. Now, hes completely pissed off at me, telling me that I have no loyalty to him whats so ever. I told him he is acting very immature with how he handled the situation. Here, Ill give you some examples of texts he sent me. Very foolish move. You KNEW I had new pcs I could have beaten any price. U could have paid me a little each week. ( I was supposed to come see the new puppy this day) Dont come here today I am in no mood to see you today Dont contact me until you grow up. Till then stay away u forget who you're talking to no f***ing respect Do not contact me or ask me for anything you are hurting yourself not me I am shutting my phone off Not threats grow the f*** up and dont contact me until you do Now this is word for word, straight from my phone. Tell me he is not completely over reacting. I have not spoken to my father in 3 years, finally start redeveloping a relationship with him and this kinda blew it out of the water. Now, I cant say I fired back with a whole mess of stuff, I continued to tell him how immature he is for handling this issue like that. A normal human being would have said "Oh okay, well I had some computers set aside if you wanted one" Not the way he took it. I want to know what you guys think. Because everyone so far that I have asked has said he handled this completely the wrong way.

@ Botch nothing is OC'd I have an ACER and the BIOS will not allow me to over clock -.- I have 1 card, 1 hard drive partitioned into 2 200G sections (C & D) @ WarriorX I know as you go on you need to upgrade. It just sucks when your like me and don't have a million dollars to blow on computer parts, trust me, if I did I would beat all of your computers ;) I know I am getting great advice and I appreciate it more than anything. I wanted to ask you guys before I did do something stupid and blow my computer to hell and back. With the way everyone is making it seem, I would be better off waiting until I have enough for both, Ill see if my dad can get me a higher watt PS. Hes into all that stuff. I honestly, am not willing to dump $130 on a power supply, when I just got this one a year ago. The fact that they make these graphics cards more powerful while also making it so you need higher grade equipment to run them is what drives me insane. I sadly do not have the money to pay for both. I was hoping to just get a card and not have to worry about the power supply, I knew they went hand in hand but dang.

Yeah that made it a bit clearer. When it says it needs a 550W Power supply, now that means for the whole computer right? Not just the card itself? like it doesnt need 550W just for itself, I mean thats prob a stupid question but I am just asking.

RAM was upgraded to 5 gigs, the GFX was bought about 2 years ago or so.

All of my specs meet the recommendations for this game. I know for a fact, I can not fit 2 cards on my MB. At absolute most, $400 USD

I need a new gfx card. I currently have a Nvidia GeForce 8800 GTX and clearly it is not cutting it anymore. I am shopping for a new and better card. I have a 550W power supply and what not. What would you guys recommend that would allow me to play this game closest to high graphics without breaking the bank. I am just looking atm and do not have a set amount I am willing to spend. Not to mention I am hoping to upgrade to FC2 in the near future.

Thats what I am saying, I can not understand why all of a sudden it would just not work. I did all my windows updates when I first installed Win7 so that should be an issue. I am apparently running more then recommended for the game just the lag is to the point of it being unplayable at low altitude. With the settings on all low, at certain parts I can run and get atleast 250+ FPS but at other parts like close to cities, even with the scenes at low and nothing being seen I get down to 15 or lower. I mean I plan on upgrading sooner or later, but the funds just are not available right now so I have to deal with what Ive got. I am just as confused as you guys are. Well, for what ever reason, since I installed Win7 over vista, the in game lag is so bad. I have never lagged like this before, even with the graphics on all low, it still lags really bad. I used an FPS Tweak, it doesn't help. Any ideas? Thats what I thought when I First purchased it, so I also got a USB Hub, which has yet to come -.- But yeah no the joystick doesnt plug into a USB port, the Throttle does. Idk it makes no sense at all.

the joystick isnt plugged into a USB port, its plugged into the old outlets where the mouse and keyboard use to go.

The throttle LCD and what not is glowing, the joystick is flashing. The throttle works in game, I have it set and it works perfectly, the joystick however does not want to respond at all. The SST Program crashes when ever I try to change the controls.

remember guys I am running FC1, so not everything is possible.

I just got my Saitek X52, brand new today, The joy stick is not at all working, nor is the profile editor, the throttle works perfectly, the joystick has no response what so ever and the profile editor crashes when I try to create a profile. I am running Win7 64bit. I am kind of aggravated with all of this see being I am now snowed in and I have no clue when mailing will return to normal in the event I have to send it back. Any ideas guys? I have found almost no help online.
