  2. many many moon´s ago i was in 104th TS during the mission planning for a 80´s mission. just for the record IMO, the 80´s scenario is best suited for FC2, in combination with a human GCI / AWACS, as it is sometimes done by the 51st, brings out the best of FC2. cheers Jaeger
  3. although i dont understand exactly what you are saying, i wish you fun with the missions. cheers Jaeger
  4. In memory of the SWA Angola borderwar, where SAAF and Cuban pilots met in an hostile environment. During the early days of the war, the SAAF had technological superiority with the Mirage F1 AZ/CZ over the Angolan MIG 21. Due too continious weapons supply for the Angolans and at the later stage when the Cuban MIG 23 at the battlefield arrived, only the skill of the SAAF pilots kept the losses at a minimum. Low level flying at 10 to 20m with 600 knots was the way too survive for the SAAF pilots. The Mirage did carry the Matra 550 and V2 rear aspect IR missiles.A HMS very similar to the russian system was also deployed. As the Southafrican all aspect missile was delayed, 50 piece "Sniper" all aspect missiles were bought. Any attempt to make the R550 combat ready failed. The cubans most likely deployed the R3S/R60 and R 23/24 missile combo, though not much is known about it. Jaeger Missions.rar
  5. Tyger made some excellent training videos http://www.youtube.com/user/Tigerpwrr?feature=mhum#g/u Jaeger
  6. After a super soft touch down with the SU 25T on a field and already rolling with the feeling of yippeeeeee i did it; there it came. A nasty mean wall out of the grasslands about 2m in height, right in front of me, with a mean grin telling me, you will not stop before me.... hehe Perfectly at the moment where the energy was too low for takeoff but still to high for stoping before the wall :pilotfly: With a salute to quax i ejected to watch my plane smashing into the grasswall. Landing outside works best with long and not too bumpy straight roads. I always jettison any stores, come in as slow as possible with a sinkrate of 2 m. Landing in a field? see above :D Jaeger
  7. Unfortunately, it didnt help Tom, BUT and thats a big but :) your tip brought me on a new track  As for DCS my XP sys with "just" 2GB of RAM is on the meager side (doh!) i made the pagefile much much larger and i got now much faster FPS plus some flights without BSOD. thanks Jaeger
  8. Thanks Tom, i try that. I searched Forums and did the suggested procedures, like clearing all x52 assignments, flew without profile, changed the USB port, did a driver update. Hope this one helps  Jaeger
  9. Beta with first Patch installed: The sound errors are gone now, nonetheless i did give the onboard card a go. To pinpoint a possible error source i cleard the tmp files and the precompiled effects, and see there. Each time cleaning these files i got a crashfree mission, with them crash as soon as i touched the gun trigger. every crash ends in a BSOD with the saih075c.sys error, no crashfiles available. Jaeger DCS-log-patch1rar.rar
  10. Sure, can do that. I can fly around, and so far i flew in the quick missions. In about 10% of the missions i am able to do it all; from weapons engagement to landing. The trainings work too. Most times the crashes happen during weapons engagement. During these weapons releases the main part of the crashes happen with the GAU during firing the first bullets. So far one crash with the maverick (right MFD MAV seeker active) as the MAV left the rail; and one during CCIP with a cluster. Flying a 2nd mission after the few successfull ones (completed) was a guarantee for a crash. From my settings; the music is off and all other sound sliders are at 100%. Jaeger
  11. here we go Jaeger dcs.rar DxDiag.rar
  12. Hi Nate, thanks for taking time to look into it. With the DXdiag is the DCS.log included. On this occasion i flew the Instant Action, first mission; The log is from this flight only. As i fired the gun the system crashed with a BSOD and the saih075c.sys error. no crash file made Every attempt for an update of the saitek driver failed, due to server error. http://www.megaupload.com/?d=I0RMKQ0C cheers Jaeger
  13. In DCS/temp/dcs.log i got constant sound errors. logfile included. http://www.megaupload.com/?d=5P4B86SB Jaeger
  14. couldnt find the patch at the DCS page, where is he ? cheers Jaeger
  15. What now? burn one limited installation key and not knowing why the copy protection gave up all of a sudden? I see just 2 possible reasons: a) plug in of the head set, where the probability is very low because i did it earlier and external hardware shouldn t affect the hardware key at all. b) just about the same time appeared the first cracked versions (see locked posts in the forum)... well, if a cracked version kills my valid registration then, this would be much worse... BTW, i find it interessting that none of the ED members replied to this thread. cheers Jaeger
