  1. I just went to fly the plane. I'm not sure if it is related to the latest patch, or if it has anything to do with the fact that I just installed the NS 430 module for the plane, but I encountered a problem trying to fire rockets. If I select the rocket pods from both sides, or all of them at the same time, in the ROC position, weapon release guards off, master arm on, A-G mode, sight on, nothing fires - I get the red ERROR notification. If I select only one rocket pod, the rockets fire. I remember firing 2 rocket pod simultaneously less than 2 weeks ago (see here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=S0C0OA9ePXc&t=15s), so that seems quite bizarre. I have tried uninstalling the NS 430, same result, did a repair, same result. I ended up selecting just one pod out of "let's see what happens now" and that's how I saw that it seems to be the only way to shoot rockets. I think I've also experienced the MK-82s not consistently exploding as well but I thought maybe it was because I had dropped them too low - but they didn't always explode even if they had dropped from the plane.
  2. OK, I guess this "elevation/altitude related" inability to start engines must be AH-64D specific, because I also tried to cold start the Huey at St Catherine and it worked. I will check at various altitudes and locations with it though. Interesting. Thanks for the reply.
  3. Hello, Today, I decided to learn how to takeoff from ramp in the AH-64D. I guess I chose the wrong airfield to do it, because all my attempts at St Catherine failed. I hear a hydrolic failure message after turning on APU. Do all the necessary steps that follow, and when I get to the starter switch for Engine 1, nothing happens. I then tried the same procedure on Caucasus map, works fine, helicopter starts no problem. I went back to Sinai map, at Ramon airfield. It started no problem. I tested various parkings at St Catherine, they all failed. I tried, takeoff from ground near parking spots, it failed. I even tried takeoff from ground just outside the airfield circle, it failed. It also failed at the helipad to the West of St Catherine. If I make the AH-64D available as start from parking HOT at St Catherine, it works though. I just seem to have picked the absolute worst place to start learning to do a cold start today!! Maybe the Southern part of the Sinai map is still pretty much a work in progress (weird things happen there )... Too bad, because it has some of the most interesting terrain to fly in.
  4. I just went to do some testing after installing the patch, and you are correct Flappie. This seems to have been resolved in single player, multiplayer, regular open beta executable and MT executable. Works for me!!
  5. I've noticed the same thing lately as well. I wasn't sure what caused it, but I must say that your theory with the GUV gunpods theory makes some sense to me as I had those every time I crashed. The latest one I had was last night in multiplayer, with one crash when I was actually firing the guns before I hit a building. BOOM Mi-8, and CTD. Then, I had another situation where I crashed into a mountain, and CTD (GUV gun pods onboard). This morning, I reproduced the same situation over mountains in Syria, intentionally got into a vortex ring state, crashed the heli, then CTD. Maybe tomorrow I'll try with and without these pods.
  6. This week, I flew the F-16C and my tail displayed my 032 tail number on my plane. Since today's patch, I see 000 on all planes in single player and when I flew with my buddies with 3 F-16Cs in Multiplayer. My element lead saw the same thing. The numbers seemed OK for his F/A-18C but he saw 000 for the F-16Cs as well.
