Thank you for your data! Did you set it just like I did? Because that is quite significant FPS difference given that we have the same GPU, just different brand!

Hello all! I would like to start a big thread where we all can compare ingame FPS. The reason behind this is that I would like to get a GPU for DCS World and there are few tests on the internet. I figured out that someone else may have the same issue. So let´s normalise some settings and everyone is welcome to contribute. Settings should be set so that the CPU is not the bottleneck and obviously we all should use the same settings. Let me suggest (see photo) and testing is the basic free flight with SU25T at Mineralnye Vody, keep bearing and altitude and just share your setup and FPS. My setup: Ryzen 3 3100 2x16GB DDR4 3600 MHz GTX 1080 Ti Zotac AMP Extreme 11GB with +200 MHz memory OC FPS were between 86-89

Thank you. Followup question, I am trying to launch GBU-12 as in this video: but it does not work - when I do the overfly, I don´t see time to the target nor I am able to launch any bombs. Have there been any changes as well? EDIT: resolved

Hello guys, I am pretty new to Harrier (I just bought it after free trial). I have used TPOD once before and now I am trying to use it again, but there is no TDC option there. I press (on the right display) menu - TPOD and there is on the bottom left option STBY/OPEN and there is no TDC that should be the button above. When I hit STBY (it changes to OPEN), there is some button called MTC. Please help me, I can´t get my TPOD to be able to move the camera and laser my targets without this.

I am sorry maybe you did not understand my issue. There are 2 accounts (of course we have each our own accounts). That is why I think it is an error. I was using the laptop 1 with my account and my brother now uses his account (and I use my account on my PC), but on the laptop where I previously used my account, we are not able to connect to the same server, despite each of us using our own ED accounts (each of us has his very own account). On second laptop (laptop 2) - where I never logged in with my acc, it works fine. Each of us can log in just fine on any device. Problem only occurs when trying to connect to the same server to play some multiplayer. -
Hello. The issue is - I installed and played DCS on my laptop with my account. Then I got a desktop and installed it there too, now playing on my desktop. I want my brother play on my laptop, but he is not able to connect to the same server as me. Either of us can connect, but the server will not let the other player in. Then we installed DCS on a third laptop (where I never logged in with my account, only my brother) and there it works just fine (both of us can connect). We want to make it work on the first laptop because it has a lot better hardware. What I tried: Uninstalling and reinstlaling the game - did not help. Different server - did not help (issue is not isolated to a certain server and therefore I think it is issue of the game itself). Thanks beforehand!

Hey guys. I sometimes need to use Harrier to kill a ship. As ships are not easy to kill and can defend pretty well, being able to lock and release all AGM-65F missiles at once would really help (as it now takes at least good 30+ seconds to individually set up and release each missile). So is it possible to launch multiple mavericks on the same target?

I had to re test them, I agree that they can be ridiculously powerful, probably depends on where they hit. I test them agains George Washington carrier and sometimes it takes 4-5 salvos (so about 8-10 missiles) to kill one, but in such way that first salvo brings it to 3% damage, then 3 more salvos to 47% damage and the last one kills it. So really depends on where they hit. That is still impressive because that carrier is difficult to sink to say the least. But the Harrier seems to fit my playing style a bit better. Although Mavericks are pain to use when compared to VIKHR (they often lock to literally nothing 10m next to a tank) but I guess that will be fixed at some point. I get to spawn much closer to the enemy so that is awesome.

Hello guys, re-opening this topic as I had now opportunity to test the Viggen. I am very disappointed - it is an amazing airplane, but it can only carry two anti-ship missiles and cannot combine air to ground weapons of different kinds. I like the highly supersonic speeds and the fact that it has radar vs ships, but consistency of damage dealt to ships by RB04 is poor. I also did not find it useful to destroy ground units (I need something that requires little setup). So way too much work for little effect. I am considering Harrier. Its V/STOL capability allows me to spawn at FARPs near enemy bases, it can carry air to air missiles, air to ground missiles, SEAD (although limited capability) missiles and both SEAD and air to ground missiles can be used vs ships as well. So it is something like a better SU25T. It flies a bit faster (like 650 km/h vs 1000-1100 km/h), it can kill tanks from a bit more distance, its air to air capability is a tiny bit better and it has V/STOL and also can take off from ships, so I don´t have to fly such long distances.

Hello. I would like to create a small "damage test" sandbox, where I can test how much damage do weapons cause to what targets. It is difficult to test (I know, nonsense stuff) how much damage does AIM-120C deal to aircraft carrier, if I get shot down way before I can hit it with one. So I would like to create a mission where there are dummy enemy units that will not attack me, and just take damage. I cannot find any tutorial or option in DCS to make units passive. Can you please help?

Guys, I understand BUT. This is much more extreme. Nothing even remotely similar happens in the cobra or any positive G pitch. I will try to take a video of what happens and show you.

That makes sense, but this is way too sensitive and way too extreme, I don´t believe this could happen IRL - from aeordynamic pow it makes no sense.

Hey guys. I just bought SU33 and after takeoff, I just wanted to level myself, I pushed my joystick a little forward and airplane made aerodynamically nonsense movement - it started drastically rotating forward and in 1-2 seconds it rotated 90 degrees - nose pointing down. On some other ocasions, it will rotate even more, like 180 degrees and engines will point in the direction of the flight. This movement seems aerodynamically nonsense - there is no way that such a large surface as wings would allow something like 90 degree AOA (just negative). Also engines will go off during this "maneuver". Why it is a huge issue? When you exceed 400-500 km/h in SU33, it will (similarly to Mig 29) keep rotating its nose up. So you have to push joystick forward to keep the nose down basically all the time. And there is just veeery tiny difference between keeping a level flight and completely destroying your jet. Also, by some miracle, wings won´t rip off but if this happens bellow 1000m, jet is not going to recover from it no matter what you do.

SU25T will not shoot or LA at EWR 55G6 after update

I would understand if it doesn´t lock, but it DOES lock, it just gets into range and gives me no launch authority, so I cannot launch the missile. Yes, it worked before with this SAM afaik. -
Hey guys, I noticed that after update, my SU25T (using KH58U or KH25MPU anti radar missiles and fantasmarogria pod) will not shoot at SAM EWR 55G6. It will detect it, allows me to lock on it, but will not give me launch authority and will not allow me to shoot at it. It can shoot at other kinds of radar based SAMs just fine, only this one doesn´t work. I also tried LA override, but that will result in dumb missile that will go to random direction, not reaching its target.

Hey guys. Did you notice how the damage went down? Previously, I could take down aircraft carrier with approximately 6x KH58U and 12x KH25MPU but now the same amount of missiles will do hardly 20% damage.

I can relate. I can take missiles that are not anti-ship with SU-25T - 2x KH58U, 4x KH25MPU, 2x S-25L and sink an aircraft carrier in two runs. Hornet, I would get old before it sinks aircraft carrier with its harpoons, that are actually supposed to be more powerful.

Yes, I am very close to buying Hornet. Why I chose Hornet: 1. Warthog is out, it seems to be a nightmare to learn and SU-25T is a very good CAS to fulfill my needs, it is very slow and lacks anti-ship capability. Basically it is better in what SU-25T is already good at, and worse in all other of my missions. I need to fill as many roles with as little purchases as possible. 2. Mirage is out as it is not multi-role. 3. Harrier is out, because it lacks, if I remember correctly the answers, both anti-ship and good SEAD capability. It is also rather slow and doesn't carry many missiles, and its V/STOL doesn't give me any advantage over Hornet in my missions. 4. Viggen is out for now, partially because it lacks SEAD, but mainly because I cannot test it. I also do not see many advantages over Hornet. Let's say I would pick it, if Hornet wasn't available. 5. F-16 is also an interesting one, but the only advantage I see vs Hornet is that it is faster and more agile. It seems to carry same, or less payload and cannot take off from ships. Hornet: After initially testing it, I said there is NO way I am buying this. Harpoons currently deal no damage, are pain to set up, everything is pain to set up, fully loaded is barely transsonic with afterburners and I just don't like it. But: - After a couple hours flying it, I found out that if I get familliar with controls, everything can be set up muuuuch quicker, only the first hours were painful. And I think after proper key binding set up, I can be even faster. - It can be fast, and basically if I load the same amount of payload to other plane, it wouldn't get transsonic anyway, as I really like to load it up. And oh boi, can it be loaded up. - I really like GPS guided missiles, those JSOW missiles, and it can carry EIGHT of them. Enough to de-populate the entire airfield. Or two. - After loading it with 8 GPS-guided missiles, it can still carry FOUR Air to Air missiles. - After loading it up with all this, it can still carry either fuel tank, or bombs. - Great variety of other weapons that can be loaded onto it. - Harpoons IRL seem to be very powerful weapons, so I hope they will be in-game as well, when finished. I don't know what everybody says about damage models, I think it is bug of the missile, because other missiles damage ships just fine... ? - It can take off from ship. Yeah, basically get a Hornet. It may not be as interesting as Viggen or Harrier, but it is a do-it-all. Like when you pick a car, Corvette is a very fast car, Mercedes E-class is comfortable, Toyota Land Cruiser is awesome for the terrain. But if you want to own one car to fill all roles, you don't want either of these, more of something like Subaru Forester XT, which has enough power, can go to terrain and is also comfortable for long range travelling.
