Same is happening for me. And I'm using the TM Warthog HOTAS. Update: It seems to be working normally for me again. Weird that it wouldn't earlier. Anyway, all is well.

Thanks so much. I just got TrackIR 5 and was having issues with it jumping around all over the place, especially at crucial moments like a carrier approach. Just flew a couple training flights and was really happy with your profile settings. I appreciate your work with the DCS tutorials.

I went in and un-checked the game avionics mode in addition to the Game Flight Mode that had already been un-checked. This seems to have solved the problem. Thanks so much.

I don't see a Game Mode in the Options/System menu. But I see a Game Flight Mode in the Options/Gameplay menu and that is un-checked.

I'm having the same exact issue as the OP. Throttle works fine in every other mode but it won't recognize in cold start. I have the Warthog setup. I mapped the Idle/Off for both R and L to the buttons you suggested and I'm still having the issue. I also tried booting the cold start mission several different times, alternating between the idle on and off and still nothing. In addition the R Shift + Home and R Alt + Home functions on the keyboard won't work either. So basically, in cold start I'm only able to get as far as the APU start and then I can't get any fuel injection going because my neither my throttle nor the keyboard commands are working for me. And the really weird thing is that these functions worked fine in the training model for Cold Start. Outside the training module the keyboard functions do not work. I'm following exactly the start procedure in the DCS Hornet training sections and in Chucks start up guide. I'm at a loss on how to proceed.

I'm having a speed brake issue where it flat out will not deploy, regardless of where it's mapped. I have the Warthog Hotas and have it mapped to the Chuck's Guide template. But whether the plane is on the ground in "ready on the ramp" status or in-flight, the mapped controls flat out will not deploy the speed brake. I've tried unmapping and remapping, tried mapping to different switches on the throttle. No matter where I map to it doesn't deploy. I'm at a loss at this point.
