Im thinking about getting an i5-750 and want to know if the A-10C will take full advantage of its four cores. I refuse to buy a dual core though. All other video games support multi cores so its still worth it to buy a quad core.

I tried putting in my username and password but everytime it just says authorization failed. I thought that the E-shop log in was the same as the forum log in, I guess not. I purchased FC2 so I should be able to log in im not sure whats going on.

Thanks much! On a side note ive had many problems with comcast including spiking up and down download speeds. one minute it will be as low as 30 kb/s the next it will at at a mb/s

Is this normal? I had the problem where I accidently ordered two copies of FC2.

Yes I must say it is great. When playing in a server such as the 104th a dogfight feels like a privelidge. because its such a big map, dogfights are VERY intense, especially when engaging with guns.

The eagle has WAY better avionics than the flanker. It is also built of higher quality materials. The flanker is a budget plane, its that simple. Just compare the two planes minimum turns radiuses, the eagles is smaller.

The F-15 has 106 air to air kills and 0 deaths. The F-15C was also made SPECIFICALLY for the purpose. In my opinion, the most proof there is that the SU-27 is better is its little airshow flips. Id take a 15 into a dogfight with a 27 anyday.

Ive been having a lot of trouble in BVR combat. Lets say we are each 20 miles away head to head. We both launch or missiles. How do I avoid his missile effectively? When he launches, if I make any immediate avoidance maneuvers it wont matter since the missile is so far away it can easily correct itself. How am I supposed to know when the missile is very close to me so I can then perform an avoidance maneuver? Same goes for air to ground. When a sam launches at me it seems pretty difficult to get a visual. Maybe this is because I do not have a track IR. When I do get a visual on the missile, how do I turn to avoid it? Ive heard you are supposed to turn into it, but what do you do if the missile is coming at you head on? I just need to know some general avoidance maneuvers.

Ummm.... First of all what makes you think the SU-27 is superior in a dogfight? The F-15C has around 104 air to air kills and has NEVER been shot down..not even once. The SU-27 does not have those kind of statistics to back it up. In real life, the SU-27 bleeds of speed much quicker than the F-15. In terms of dogfighting, the two are very close but in reality the F-15 has the edge. The F-15C was made specifically for air to air purposes unlike the SU-27. The F-15 has proven itself as one of the greatest birds to ever be built.

not quite. First of all, you are actually in a REAL 3d environment and you are using YOUR HANDS on the REAL BUTTONS. This feels completely different than mouse clicking and hitting keyboard buttons. Second of all you would feel the helicopter, and would have your hands full with many things. For something as complex as the blackshark it would be hard. As for a Cessna 172, the simulator would be a great choice of training. I flew FSX for about a year in the cessna before taking my first real lesson in one, and I knew just about everything. Then again, unlike blackshark, there are not 100 different switches and guages you should be constantly checking.

I hear there is some kind of workaround to enable tacview in multiplayer? Can anyone direct me to this? Also if doing this is considered a form of cheating dont respond or just lock the thread as i am unaware if it is or not.

Im really in love with all of eagle dynamics/DCS's products. I cant wait for the DCS A-10C, and I want something new besides flaming cliffs since the DCS series has much more realism. Im not really into choppers, im more of a fighter jockey type of guy, and im joining USAF through ROTC in college so prefer something used by the USA. I must admit blackshark looks pretty awesome but im not so sure i should drop 40 bones for it, especially with the A-10C coming out. I wish I knew at least a release window for the A-10C so I could get a better idea if its worth it to buy blackshark or not. What do you guys think?

explain. The only advantage a strike eagle has is bigger payload and better night ops. It also flys better at low altitudes as it was designed that way. It has the highest time to climb record. other than that, for air to ground stuff that is, there isnt that much of a difference

Well thats a majority of it. The F-16 and F-15E have about the same strike capabilities. How else are we supposed to decide. I wanted an english strike fighter not russian. That about narrows it down.

The next DCS should be the F-15E Strike Eagle!!! Just my opinion. Who doesnt want to fly a fighter the size of a tennis court around the sky. I think the strike eagle looks a lot better than the eagle because of its awesome color. I downloaded that newly remodeled f-15 by valery, but I cant figure out how to use different skins. The game always picks one for me. Cant I make a simple dogfight and choose my skin?

I was flying the second F-15C mission, where I had to transport the C-17. I did the whole thing, it landed and said they can finish the taxi by themselves, and thanked us for the escort. Obviously, I figured I could now RTB and land in order to finish the mission. I approach home base, and all of the sudden i get a mission failed sign because i failed to stay close to the c-17. I got pissed off and went and gunned down the c-17 while it was taxiing. Anyways, at the end it told me i have been stripped of my combat awards. Now my second lieutenant ribbon appears pure black. What is this? Do I need to reinstall in order to get back my normal ribbon?

It would be really helpful if anyone could give me one. I do not know how to make my own.

Dude I don't see what your talking about. It clearly says "Coming spring". That mean it's going to be available in spring.

Its weird how my taste in jets changes. I used to hate the A-10 because of its speed but now I love it. Such a beastly aircraft with that huge gun.
