  1. Thanks for the explanation. No worries about the mod, the only one i had installed was the brickdust VR friendly cockpit mod and it's textures stopped mapping properly after a few updates to the f-14 and became unusable. Will try the latest mod instead: https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/files/3313661/
  2. I had already done the repair and clean. I figured re-installing the F-14 would wipe any mods too but i guess not. I removed all mods in Saved Games\DCS.openbeta\Mods and it loaded without crashing, woo thank you! I gradually started re-adding the removed folders & files to troubleshoot and it appears the problem is with the entry.lua file (attached here for reference). Thoughts as to why that is causing problems? Are there any consequences to deleting this file? Thanks again for the help draconus! entry.lua
  3. I have the exact same issue. Crashed toward end of loading the F-14B on any default instant action missions or otherwise, worked fine for years (A model still works fine). Deleted the F-14 entirely and re-installed it and have the same issue. No issues with any of the other aircraft. Having good luck with this mod with exception of what seems to be the original light textures being displayed over the mod textures (see console lights as well as gauges): I don't recall this happening when I first installed the mod. Any idea what's happening? I checked the save games folder and it still has all the original texture files in it, and the description.lua file hasn't been edited either.
  5. Looks like the "...\bin\DCS_updater.exe repair" worked, passes integrity check after several multiplayer sessions within the same DCS session! Thanks for the help! Did you have any problems with the mirrors textures?
  6. Thanks for the reply! The only thing I have in core mods (which I presume is this folder C:\Program Files\Eagle Dynamics\DCS World OpenBeta\Mods\aircraft\F14\Liveries\F14B_Cockpit\default) is a single description.lua file with this in it: livery = { {"mirrors", 0 ,"mirrors",true}; } and that's the only file in the entire "F14 > Liveries" folder structure. The description.lua file I posted the contents of earlier is located in C:\Users\USERNAME\Saved Games\DCS.openbeta\Liveries\F14B_Cockpit\Brickdust's Drunken Sailor VR Friendly Cockpit - BE [v0.5] and I can select it in DCS under Options > Special > F-14B > Customized Cockpit.
  7. Hi all, Has anybody tried this with the Heatblur F-14B? I'm getting some really mixed results messing with the Server.lua file in saved games: if I open up the limits in Limits_6DOF until say ±1.0 in all directions they work until ±0.5 in all directions with the TrackIR (though I use OpenTrack, but it uses the TrackIR protocol and DCS reads it as such), at which point it appears to run into some other limit, but doesn't run into the limit until the ±1.0 when using the RCtrl+RShift+Num2/4/6/8 keys. I also can't get it to roll 1:1 with OpenTrack, it only rolls to 45° and it requires a 90° roll of the (checked OpenTrack and the scaling is 1:1 and the little model does rotate to 90° with a 90° head roll) I also tried to open up the pitch up limit as the default doesn't let me even look up all the way to vertical (already verified that OpenTrack isn't the limiting factor, its exporting angles well past 90 with no problem): CameraAngleLimits = { 180, -80.0, 120.0 }, but replacing the "-80" with -120 or anything else doesn't seem to have any effect, even smaller numbers like 10 don't seem to have an effect. So DCS is definitely reading the file and the F-14B section because changing limits_6DOF works (albeit oddly) so the aircraft ID isn't the problem, but DCS seems to be ignoring the CameraAngleLimits parts of it. In fact, even if I change the pitch up limits in default_fighter_player there is no effect in the F-14 or the default DCS SU-25T (should there be?).   8. Hello All, long time lurker, first time posting. First I want to thank Brickdust for this mod, it really has made the tomcat more accessible and less frustrating to learn!! I initially installed using OvGME and worked fine with exception of the integrity check. So followed stuartaston's advice above and got this mod working in the save games folder for single player, though I had to make a few mods to the descripton.lua file: 1. Mirrors were displaying one of the avionics panel textures, so I fixed it by adding this code at the end of the descripton.lua file that I tracked down in C:\Program Files\Eagle Dynamics\DCS World OpenBeta\Mods\aircraft\F14\Liveries\F14B_Cockpit\default\description.lua (based on this thread: https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=154534&page=2) {"mirrors", 0 ,"mirrors",true};--mirrors texture replacement with runtime rendered one 2. Any thoughts as to what's going on?
