STREAM DECK PROFILES LIBRARY
bclinton replied to ZQuickSilverZ's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
Hi friends....just taking a shot here to see if anyone has info on getting a streamdeck icon to display the current heading and speed while in DCS. I fly the A10 and have been piecing together various profiles you experts have shared. One other issue I can't seem to get by is the 3-stage flap switch with the A10C2. I can get it to go from full to no flaps but not zero-middle-full with using one button. I was guessing that the dcs export profile may not include the 3-position switch that the A10C2 had versus the A10C. Anyways, just checking here to see if anyone had any info to share. -
Hi friends, I am flying the A10 with 2 DIY external screens that show my MFD's. When I turn on the FPS monitor it shows up on my left MFD screen and is almost impossible to read (that screen is a small 7-inch monitor. The MFD's show up great. Is there a way to force the FPS info on my main view monitor instead of the MFD.

I have spent the past month watching youtube videos on the subject and not until I found this thread did the bell go off. Using your example lua helped make it make sense.... I have them at 1000X670 right now and it seems to be the sweet spot. It fills the screens and the buttons on the cougars line up pretty good. I had to jog the screens over about 100 pixels as well as down a little too.

You have no idea how useful this thread has been. I have my cougar MFD's working, and it was much easier than I anticipated. I have a couple of issues/questions if someone has time. As you can see in the pic the bezel of the cougars cuts off part of the screen on each side. What is the best way to correct this? I was going to just lower my resolution in the lua file but figured I better ask before I break something. The screens are 1280X720 currently. Also, can I get rid of the task bar on the bottom of the MFD's? It is not showing on the main monitor. As a bonus question....I have the 23 inch touch screen to the right that I am not using for DCS. Any suggestion of what I could use it for if anything? Would love to put the map on it but wasn't sure if that was doable. Again. thanks a million for all the great info in this thread!

Hi friends! A newb question if you have time. I am playing with a streamdeck and the A10....the instructions below say to install the keyboard diff.lua file into the keyboard folder. I did that but I wanted to check here to see if that's all I have to do with the file? The instructions say it has to be loaded into the keyboard bindings. Is placing it in the right folder all that needs to happen? Is there another step that I need to do after I copy it into the folder? "Each diff.lua is named for the specific aircraft. Each of these needs to be loaded into the keyboard bindings within DCS. For quicker installation, I recommend installing them here: C:\Users\NAME\Saved Games\DCS.openbeta\Config\Input\AIRCRAFT\keyboard\"

I thought I would add some follow-up after that last beta update. I tried it again and Biff would circle and never land.....this time I decided to take off again and fly to biff and about halfway down the runway he responded to ATC and advised he was landing.....I went ahead and took off and landed again. A few seconds later Biff rolls in and I was able to complete the mission.

DCS WAIFU (Weather Atis Information Utility) by Bailey
bclinton replied to Bailey's topic in DCS Modding
This looked promising but I can't seem to get it to work. It crashes when I launch it. Can I assume that it is simply not compatible with the latest beta DCS? -
Hi friends! Looking for some insight on how to get the kneeboard to cycle through the tabs without having to speak. I have a virpil stick and the wheel in it is perfect for this. I assigned it to next and previous page in the control setup and it works but just advances the next kneeboard. I was hoping to use it to advance the tabs of the vaicom pro kneeboard. I see there are api options that can allow binding the controls to key presses but not sure how to go about this. Looking for a kind soul to offer some advice EDIT>........ Never mind! I looked in the manual and it spells out what I needed to do. Imagine that Anyways I can now pull up the kneeboard by pressing the stick wheel, cycle the table with rotating the wheel and use the left rotary on the virpil throttle to cycle the other kneeboard pages. Pretty handy!

I'm getting ready to do this to my CM3 throttle with the flaps lever. I understand how to assign the lever to buttons fine but I am not clear on how the lever will work to bring the flaps up and down. As I move the lever down the flaps should go down but when I move the lever back up how does DCS now that I am going int he up direction with the lever? Just trying to wrap my head around it before I actually program it.

I have the alpha and CM3 due here this week. Do you mind sharing your configs? I wanted to get a feel on how you guys are assigning the buttons. I am coming from a TM 16000.

Uh...no he's not the only one.......I can hear Biff fine, but he refuses to land. He just circles. I have wasted about 3 hours on the very first mission. Tried 3 times, land and sit on the tarmac off the runway. Biff just keeps circling 10 miles out. I keep hearing that it's an awesome campaign but keep reading of folks complaining about random glitches on just about every mission. I posted my issue a few days ago and not one response........no more Baltic Dragon missions for me! lol

Thanks for this info! Very helpful. My main reason for auto mode was lack of buttons. I do plan on getting a different hotas setup (virpil) in time so should have more flexibility. Wrapping my head around all of this is has been challenging.

Question about using SRS along with my custom VA profile along with vaicom in auto mode. (mic switch bound to one button for all vaicom commands) I have hot mode enabled that allows me to say things like flaps up, gear up etc without hitting the transmit button. I use the transmit button when I want to use the vaicom commands like ATC - request taxi etc....that seems to work fine but I want to understand the best way to also use SRS when I start joining MP servers. What would be the best way to integrate SRS into my setup? I like auto mode because I have one button to press and worry about instead of having to use separate mic buttons. I like the hot mode on because I don't want to have to press the mic button each time for simple flight commands like flaps up. If I use a vaicom VA command without pressing the mic button I get this error "Command 'atc' is currently disabled for this session and was not executed." which helps me keep the VA commands with vaicom separate.

Hi friends! I have ran into a weird issue. I have easy comms on and bond a joy button to TX4. Somehow, I managed to get listening and resume backwards. Now when I press the joystick button it mutes VA and when I let go of the button it goes to listening mode. I have the map button set to norm. When I change the mode to single the joy button listens when I press and hold and mutes when released like it should but I get 12:29:07.504 PTT: use an active TX node error after I speak a command like ATC - Batumi - inbound. Not sure what I did that caused this to change.
-
Ya, it wasnt in the first few threads I opened. I have been adding several so far. It has start and stop voice in it which appears to turn off and on listening. I need to figure out how to have listening on full time so I dont have to keep pressing the mic just to do simple things like flaps.

I found this one from the forums. It's a good start. I added flaps but plan on going through it more to see what else can be added. Having this to start with is a time saver. DCS A10 Dewolf-Profile.rar

Basic flight commands for Viacom Pro Greetings folks. New DCS and Viacom pro user here. Was wondering if there are profiles that have the basic flight commands included like flaps, gear AP etc......I am learning the A-10C and noticed that the profile I am using does not have any included. Is that something I need to add manually and if so is there a list of the ones that are most valuable to get me started? Thanks!
