FC3 - Su-27 skins on the SU-33

Does anyone know if the SU-27 skins work on the SU-33 as well? I've checked every mod site I can find and can barely find any new skins for the Su-33...it's making me sad. :-(

No template for the Su-33 has been released. That's why we (us that make skins) have not yet released any.

I actually haven't tried to see if a Su-27 texture works on the Su-33, but I might test that later today after F1 qualification!

But I will guarantee you that I will be making skins from day one of a template release. It is simply too much work to make skins from scratch for DCS.

For the SU-33 ED still uses the old model from LOC K ON FC1.1 & FC2 (and no SU-27 Skins can't be used on SU-33)

The template can be found here http://www.lockonfiles.com/files/file/764-su-33-flanker-x4096-template/ and with some programs such as GIMP or Photoshop you can create your skins.After with a program called DXTBmp you can convert it to DDS format and import it to DCS World.

IMPORTANT NOTE:

MUST BE THE NAMES OF THE DDS FILES THAT YOU'LL CREATE INORDER THE LUA CAN READ IT CORRECTLY.

I have made a skin for the SU-33 but i will release it in the future since my comnunity and i work on a Project that soon will be revealed to you guys...

GIMP has a DDS plugin so there is no need for converting, exports directly to DDS format.

No they don't. The Su-33 now (from 1.2.7) has an external model in DCS quality.

And the 6DOF cockpit is up for 1.2.8 (according to the preliminary changelog).

Yes that is right but it uses the templates i wrote...i have tested myself

Need to see skin for su33 :)
