Hello Gents!

Since playing the Hog for some time earlier this year, then resorting back to the shark, I've noticed that nobody cared to produce a Mission Data Card for the Shark. I know there have been some out for the Hog, but today, I created a special MDC for you shark fans out there. It will be helpful in both Singleplayer and Multiplayer.

Note that it's optimized for printing on A4 sized papers.

Let me know what you think

AWAITING ED NEW DAMAGE MODEL IMPLEMENTATION FOR WW2 BIRDS

Fat T is above, thin T is below. Long T is faster, Short T is slower. Open triangle is AWACS, closed triangle is your own sensors. Double dash is friendly, Single dash is enemy. Circle is friendly. Strobe is jammer. Strobe to dash is under 35 km. HDD is 7 times range key. Radar to 160 km, IRST to 10 km. Stay low, but never slow.

Guys are you not having trouble with anything? Its easy to understand I hope.

OK, here is an explanation to some items from the MDC:

1- Armament section: This is your aircraft selected loadout. Not the default loadout by mission creator. This section has alphanumeric keys in red to facilitate writing in that space. For example, I'll load one Vikhr on the left external hardpoint, a fuel tank on the opposite external hardpoint, a rocket pod for illumination on the right inner hardpoint, and a gun pod on the opposite internal hardpoint. So you tick the box next to each weapon category selected, then circle Vikhr x6, Rocket type (if one only, if 2, circle both selected), x1 Fuel pod,x 1 pod.

Afterwards, in the AAR, if you've selected only one of the same type, you write in the AAR:

K2x1, F6x1,P5x1,R8x1

If you selected 2 vikhr hardpoints you write K2 only. 2 rocket pods you write R8 only.

And this also applies to the wingman tasking armament column. Speaking of which, you wingman is given a task as CAA(counter anti-air), OBJ(objective atttack), or REC(recon). Assign as you wish and write in the same field for selected wingman. If space is questionable, take 2 rows instead of 1 for the same wingman.

2- Threat table:

You use the ruler tool in the mission planner to write Prox.imity to TP#.

For instance, a Buk SAM system is 900 meters from TP#1, you write #1 900m. It dont matter the type of SAM system on the map, just know its position from PVI TP so your standoff is corrected and at hand at all times.

Type, for instance an Avenger SAM, you write G2 only, then COUNT (depending on TP selected). If 2 TPs are close to eachother, you may include as one in one row, even if the SAM system is different. For example, TP#1 has a 3.4Km Buk launcher, and TP#2 has an Avenger launcher 2Km away, and both TPs are 1 Km apart. You type TYPE : G2, Count: 2, Prox to TP: #1,2 3.4/2

Note: less than 1000 meters in 3 digits, 1 Km and above fraction numbers rounded to nearest hundred.

3- TGT Points section: Self explanatory, only PRI to the right indicates PRIority.

As for unit type and count writing format, the following is an example:

PVI TP#2 has the following second priority suspected unit count and types;

  • 2 M1A2 Abrams tanks
  • 6 Trucks
  • 3 Anti-air vehicles
  • 4 Hummvees (listed also as trucks)
  • 8 APCs (listed also as tanks)
  • 1 Bunker

You write:

PVI#2 G1x10,G3x10,G2x3, G5x1 PRI 2

And the logic dictates that as long as you know those vehicles are armoured, it would be extremely fOcken stupid to go near them under 7 clicks. It dont matter they are tanks or APC's, but what gives is their ability to shoot back projectiles and missiles. I could have included the APCs under AAA, but that would not be correct.

So, this table will evoke some thinking, by knowing there are 10 armored vehicles, needing a minimum of 2 vikhr missiles, and you got 12, and so would your wingman if applicable, so you assign him targets as tanks, he'll finish, you start. Or you can engage anti-air threats for him. Either ways, you know that one pass on TP #2 will need 2 or more refits back at base, so you got yourself a plan.

4- Finally, the AAR report and Ingress point:

The IP is the mission planner waypoint coordinates.

The AAR is completed using the score table in-game/Initiator--> You

Awesome, thanks. I'm always forgetting the airfield stuff.

While I'm out later today I'll swing by the copy shop and get this laminated along with the A-10 one, and grab a couple of those erasable markers.

For when it goes wrong: Win10x64, GTX1080, Intel i7 @3.5 GHz, 32GB DDR3, Warthog HOTAS, Saitek combat rudder pedals, TrackIR 5 / Vive Pro, a case of Pabst, The Funk

I love you noc_orthodontist! Can you believe I had just arrived in this forum to post a question as to whether anyone had created such a thing? Absolutely superb!

Thank you!
