ENO Posted October 26, 2012 Posted October 26, 2012 Eh guys... I'm also trying to get to the root of this problem. I have tried a few different work arounds involving adding waypoints and a hold order at the IP and it didn't work- but in reading through the thread it looks like that was a solution for single player? Any further investigation into this on the MP side? Any news on the next update or is it just kept hush hush to keep people from going "I thought you said it was coming out yesterday?!" whartsell Posted January 14, 2013 Posted January 14, 2013 I just loaded the attached mission in a MP session. My clients do not get a jtac menu at all Arduino,EOS and Helios Tutorial Static ATC menu mod
Frostie Posted January 15, 2013 Posted January 15, 2013 Have you tried starting/loading the mission after all clients have connected to your server? "[51☭] FROSTIE" #55 'Red 5'. Lord Flashheart 51st PVO "Bisons" - 100 KIAP Regiment Fastest MiG pilot in the world - TCR'10 https://100kiap.org
whartsell Posted January 15, 2013 Posted January 15, 2013 I was going to try that this evening. But that workaround really sucks for running a "dedicated" server. Arduino,EOS and Helios Tutorial Static ATC menu mod
whartsell Posted January 15, 2013 Posted January 15, 2013 Reloading after everybody is in appears to work Not perfect but ill take it. Thanks for the help Arduino,EOS and Helios Tutorial Static ATC menu mod
Frostie Posted January 15, 2013 Posted January 15, 2013 In that case you need to make a waypoint every 10 or 20 minutes for the JTAC with all the advanced wp's for comms, callsign, targets etc. on every wp. That way whenever a new client connects to the server the moment the JTAC passes over a wp he will start feeding info to that client and the client should then have the ability to communicate with JTAC. It's a ball ache, but a workaround for MP. "[51☭] FROSTIE" #55 'Red 5'. Lord Flashheart 51st PVO "Bisons" - 100 KIAP Regiment Fastest MiG pilot in the world - TCR'10 https://100kiap.org
whartsell Posted January 15, 2013 Posted January 15, 2013 I have a predator flying an orbit in my MP mission. Will everything update when he hits his turning point in the orbit or will I have to manually define a box and use advanced scripting to get him to repeat waypoints? Arduino,EOS and Helios Tutorial Static ATC menu mod
Frostie Posted January 15, 2013 Posted January 15, 2013 (edited) You have to repeat all the info for the advanced wp at every wp, a new client won't receive any info from the JTAC otherwise. With a Predator though you should be able to make him return to wp at certain intervals to update the info, that may work. Edited January 16, 2013 by Frostie 1 "[51☭] FROSTIE" #55 'Red 5'.
