TheBamse Posted July 7, 2018 Posted July 7, 2018 Roger, thanks for verifying. I'll be making a proper post in the bugs section with tracks and everything as soon as I have the time to do it.
Rainmaker Posted July 12, 2018 Posted July 12, 2018 Can confirm the low drag option still not fully implemented for the Snake Eyes. CCIP release cue still uses high drag functionality and bombs fall long...way long.
Frederf Posted July 12, 2018 Posted July 12, 2018 Fixed high, low, and pilot option are all possible in reality. Armament personnel can configure three bombs in all three ways even on the same airplane. Pilot option is the most common. I'm not sure how airplane knows drag config of bomb. It might be input on WIP with fuze/device coding so airplane is never mistaken about how released weapon is configured. Otherwise it would be up to the pilot to choose FF/RET to inform the airplane manually.
Rainmaker Posted July 12, 2018 Posted July 12, 2018 As of right now, for the SE only nose is selectable without getting an invalid config on the store. You can basically set nose and either RET of FF. I think ED has simulated the Mk-82 slick and high drag version to only have nose fuzing (they also have the old spinner wheel (don’t remember the fuse type) on the nose visably modeled. All that is fine, but selecting the FF option nets in the HUD symbology still giving release guidance for RET and the bomb going way long of target. Personal opinion, but I feel like they should model a more current fusing, I don’t think anyone still employs that fuse any more from what I have really seen. i could be wrong though.
Rainmaker Posted August 7, 2018 Posted August 7, 2018 FYI, low drag option for Snakeyes is still bugged on the HUD symbology. They still release and fly way long of DMPI
