Pilotasso Posted June 7, 2014 Posted June 7, 2014 Hey guys. just sharing an experience I had with my Hog throttle today. I noticed LED's wouldn't lit 2 days ago when system booted up. I didn't pay much attention or was even worried until today when I fired up Star citizen dogfighting module. Loaded up TARGET and confirmed there were no signs of life. Fired up the firmware tool - Same thing, only the stick was detected. I searched these threads for brick fixes, but had little luck, same as the rest of the internet (warhogworld is down sadly). Funny thing - trying to reconnect the device onto another USB port made the lights twitch once for a tiny fraction of a second maybe for as little as 100ms (would miss it if I wasn't paying attention). So I hmm'ed and thought perhaps it still had some life left in it yet. I connected to an older PC I had put to a corner nearly 10 years ago and the lights twitched, this time twice. I ran and brought over the firmware tool on a pen and connected the old machine to the internet via USB adapter. To my complete surprise the lights blinked again and came back as the tool installed and the USB drivers kicked in. I managed to upgrade the FW from #20 to the latest #23 (yeah I got lax in relation to my hobbies recently). The throttle S/N is #02514 So there you go! Hope it helps future cases of warthog owners! .
javelina1 Posted June 7, 2014 Posted June 7, 2014 that is good to hear. with having to use the 2nd computer.... I'm wondering if uninstalling the Hawg drivers on the first, and then using a registry cleaner to clean out any remaining settings, then a re-install might work? nonetheless, great news to hear you got your throttle back. nice work! MSI MAG Z790 Carbon, i9-13900k, NH-D15 cooler, 64 GB CL40 6000mhz RAM, MSI RTX4090, Yamaha 5.1 A/V Receiver, 4x 2TB Samsung 980 Pro NVMe, 1x 2TB Samsung 870 EVO SSD, Win 11 Pro, TM Warthog, Virpil WarBRD, MFG Crosswinds, 43" Samsung 4K TV, 21.5 Acer VT touchscreen, TrackIR, Varjo Aero, Wheel Stand Pro Super Warthog, Phanteks Enthoo Pro2 Full Tower Case, Seasonic GX-1200 ATX3 PSU, PointCTRL, Buttkicker 2, K-51 Helicopter Collective Control
